Basically the title. I purchased 3 packs of messy supplies thick gunge for the first time (green, orange and yellow) and I'm thinking of making 12 litres of the orange one in the coming days. I have an enamel bathtub with a anti slip base (kind of a light gritty texture) and I'm wondering if there's a chance it will stain? And if so will I be able to get the stains out with cleaning products? Hope someone can help, thanks.
To chime in, the last lot of red gunge I used *did* stain a hotel bath tub quite badly. Hotels use a wax that can get affected by it if they'd asked me I'd have said it was a bath bomb
It's got the potential to leave a stain if you let it dry on- never personally had any troubles with it leaving marks in the bathroom, even when it was crusted on.
Compared to a lot of the other messy options (such as food items) gunge is generally one of the least-staining one out there.
I've had no issues with stains while using their gunge and even in spots that I missed and don't notice until a few days later, it wipes off with no problems at all!

An excellent warning - it sounds like it would have come off though if you cleaned it
Probably the point of the wax, to make it easy for the cleaners to remove marks from bath bombs and blobs of shower gel that people drop, etc so that would be an excellent excuse
I won't link again to my blog in the same thread but I have a post all about hotel sessions too and I recommend taking some good cleaning kit in case anything like that crops up. In a pinch just foam up some shampoo in the sink and use hot water and a flannel
Generally I've never had any staining except for the white grout around some tiles. A good scrub got this off but it took a while.
As has previously said don't let things dry out - get straight on it with cleanup. If hot water is in short supply (small tank, weak boiler, etc) then make sure you allow for this.
Also don't use anything abrasive, especially if you have a cheap/low quality bath. You'll scratch the finish meaning it will easily trap grim and show staining later on. Use a good quality non scratch pad or a brush.

Trust me, nothing worked on it. Tried everything we could think of including shampoo and a loofah but it just would not budge. Not sure what happened, might have been a funny batch of gunge, might have been a terrible bath...
I've never had it stain girls skin or showers or anything. If you have an extremely pourous bathtub and left it sitting in there for days on end? Maybe. But highly doubtful. It is a very water soluble and easy to mix and use product! I loooove it! I wish I could have a ton on me all the time! I have three bags right now I'm like "hmmmm what to do??" If you add your OWN COLOR TO IT? That can stain. Gel food colorings in high pigment has a way of staining skin a little bit. We found that bleach and dawn work!

That gritty texture won't stain. If you keep it the same color and don't add your own color to it. It's fine on its own. I have that type of shower with very gritty texture between tiles and it just sprays right off.
