And now for the moment no one has been waiting for...
I am Patrick, solidly 62 years old, 30 lbs overweight, and missing some of my original equipment hair. I shoot WAM, various other fetish stuff, and some traditional porn stuff. In one of several former lives, I was a professional audio systems technician, designer, and front-of-house "engineer" (non-degreed), hence the username. In others, I played guitar & bass for a bunch of cover bands, was a gas & diesel mechanic/machinist and occasional racer, and did a decade as a telephone/CATV/power lineman & splicer.
My current day job (ALLLLL goddamn day) is running The Mothership, a boutique web hosting company that is 90% fetish-oriented. I built and operate my own data center filled with Linux servers. Hosting amenities are handled by cPanel, but I wrote all of the software for the billing and media distribution systems. I pity the "normal" folks who are going to show up for this clambake, because there is nothing more tedious than a room full of IT goofballs comparing notes
As a nod to the civilians, I will NOT be wearing a Slayer t-shirt and I promise to bathe every day, but I WILL be wearing cargo shorts and no one can stop me!
My current after-work obsession is repairing and building tube guitar amps. I also have 3 tractors (2 have backhoes), a bulldozer, and a dump truck, which is really stupid for a guy who lives in the suburbs on a half-acre lot.

I've been thinking of making a documentary about this community for many years. The Vegas event has given me the kick in the pants necessary to start working on it much more seriously.
I'd love to make a film about WAM, & the lives of the people within the community. I've been a member here for more than 5 years, & I'm completely fascinated & enthralled by this fetish. I love the community that has been built here, & I want to learn more, The UMD is 20 years old now, & I have been enjoying it for just a fraction of that time. There are so many fascinating people, producers, models, & fans contained within this niche of ours that deserve a careful, & loving representation on film.
I believe this fetish, the images it creates, & the people who make it all happen are all ripe for cinematic exploration, both for my own personal understanding of myself, as well as highlighting the community in a very caring way for audiences at large.
I have seen a few incomplete & arguably very misguided attempts to feature WAM in a documentary film before, (i.e. the incomplete scope of the feature on Vice a while ago).
(Projects with Maria [MyPieRogative] involved are of course completely fantastic because of her. I just wish they were longer!)
Shame & embarrassment seem to be common feelings when considering sharing this fetish, myself included, & so in the interest of building trust, I've been contacting people that I'd love to interview using my real name.
I am planning to attend the Vegas meet-up, hopefully, to work on this project, & certainly to meet my fellow lovers of this niche. Having so many of us in one place seems too good to be true for such a venture, so I must give it a try.

Haha that longer project with the professional documentary maker is still happening! We've been filming for 2 years now, meeting up randomly when our paths cross. She's saying it will probably be another 5 years before it's done because she wants to see where I end up. Ha! At this rate the final footage will be in my back yard barefoot and pregnant in my garden with my chickens wondering around me

I'm Jack, I just turned 50 in November - to be honest that's what spurred me to come to the meet, Vegas is somewhere I've thought "really should visit one of these days" since I was like 8 and ABBA's "Money Money Money" was dominating the charts, and I've kind of realised as I get older it's now or never. My day job is as an IT consultant running hypervisors and virtual machines here in Yorkshire, and sysdamining an ISP and public phone system, I'm a Goth, I look after a bus to a huge music festival in Germany every year (which is where I first met Friday back in 2012), have been a club DJ, promoted gigs, and and done tour-van driving in the UK and across Europe. I love driving and exploring, and railways too. I've been here on the UMD since it started, been into fully clothed WAM since forever. And as long-term readers may have noted, I really like women in boilersuits. 
As well as the meetups, planning to visit the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, and a few other "drive there" places outside the city. Might even drive (or fly) through to California just to see the Pacific Ocean.
Note: One thing Friday and I won't be doing while we're in the US is any shoots, either for ourselves or for anyone else. I gather the US authorities take a dim view of tourists doing anything that could be construed as "work" and their definition is pretty broad, so don't want to take any chances on either not being allowed in, or not being allowed back in future. Does mean more time to hang out, drink, and party though!

Well wowza..:: looks like Becky is sending a camera person to follow me for 2 days of this. No worries though, anyone that doesn't want to be on camera you just say so and that's that. Becky came to London Splosh games and everyone from that can attest to the fact she's super respectful and chill and no one is pressured at all. Most of us are still in the wam closet and it's taken a lot for some to even decide to come to this gathering. I don't want anybody staying home because they think they'll be outed.
I am asking any filmmakers to not attend the main meet and greet at all, and to get prior written agreements from everybody who would be on film, even in the background. The UMD is not affiliated with any documentaries, as I am only there for vacation. I have no pull over what anyone does, but I hope for any recording to be thoughtfully compartmentalized and done at times where we're not the least bit intimidated to party and be ourselves.

We will be filming our pie booth event and the private party Amy and Vika session. The pie booth will be focused on the girls getting pied and we will not film the faces of those participating. If by chance anyone is filmed by accident, we will blur them out. Also feel free to wear sun glasses if you prefer. The Amy and Vika session will be filmed with the party goers behind the camera. So no one will be in view while filming.

trying to figure out what my best option is for travel. i live only 4 hours away so driving isnt an issue but if anyone traveling from SOCAL and passing through the palm desert area and wants to carpool or what ever works best for people let me know!!!

Didn't come across that way to me. Sounded like you had the best interest, privacy, and protection of your members as your paramount concern. Also, that this was your vacation, and not some official event and that you weren't prepared for legal/business ramifications appearing in the doc (which is understandable).
I just can't wait to get out of shit crap Philly weather. 85 on Saturday, and then 41 and rain for the Cherry Blossom Festival...what a bust. At least the trees were in bloom, which made for a nice little birthday outing.

Like Sadblue, I can't make Vegas, (family vacation week before Memorial Day, other family obligations and commitments going on right now, plus things a little tight financially) but hope to live vicariously through the postings of those who will be there. I had a great time meeting folks from the Philly area a couple of years ago, as well as Maria, who is from everywhere, and would loved to have met more folks from the community.
As for me, I'm a married, bisexual 51 year old working in finance outside Philly. The Mrs. tried wet clothing as an indulgence for me a few times, but found it to be an absolute turn off. Play involves clothing of either gender, generally casual, either swimming or some food in the tub. Favorite substances are eggs, syrup, and pudding pies.

Greetings All, sorry I'm a little late to the thread but going to school and working have monopolized all of my time (well a good 100 hours a week). I'm Ralph and WAM has been a personal passion of mine for as long as I can remember and I can't wait to meet so many awesome people.

Hi I'm Row in my late 30's and I'm from North London.
Been on the UMD since 1999 but been into WAM since I was a kid.
Just didn't know there was a name for it and that there were people like me out there that were into it as well (which made me feel that I was alone in enjoying this).
I have done quite a few studio sessions with Splosh A Girl (Kate, Honey B, Mouse, Scarlett, Karen Wood) Splosh (Gilly Sampson), Carwam (when they were about), Kacie James and Molly (my most recent sessions), Gungetank Girls to name a few.
This will be my first time in Vegas and I'm looking forward to it and also to meetup with the rest of the guys and ladies there (some I've been talking to for nearly 20 years on here now
