I think the issue is that currentky there are threads that feature males getting messed by females, which some falls unders the "females" flag as well.
These are posts that do not feature the females also getting messed. So I understand the confusion.

There is a "strict" option to prevent mixed-gender wam. If that is enabled and you still see any content of the opposite gender, please help us out and flag it. This is about all I can do on a site where content is publicly submitted.
I mean you cover everything else in chocolate...so naturally dicks need equal treatment!
Nah seriously, equal opportunity here. Just as many people into male WAM complain about seeing female stuff. Check out the filters and message back if you're still having issues.
As MM says, the way to avoid seeing it, if you don't like seeing men in your forum posts, is to set your gender preference to 'strict' by ticking the 'strict' box.
To find this go: Profile/Preference/Site Settings
In the pic below you will see the relevant settings bit. My 'strict' box is unticked as I don't mind seeing co-ed scenes.
If you do this, you will only see posts exclusively about women (unless someone has labelled incorrectly, in which case report it )
I think it's a good thing, it's great to see more balance. I'm completely into women but it doesn't bother me in the slightest apart from maybe a tad jealous I don't have the body for it myself
Wouldnt mind love but will take anything I can get
Is there actually a detailed explanation of how the settings work anywhere, and if not, perhaps there should be?
Basically there are three gender types of wam:
# Female (women get gunged)
# Male (men get gunged)
# Coed (men and women get gunged)
If you set "female" but not "strict" then you get to see all the posts about women getting gunged, including coed ones where men also get gunged. If you set "male" but not "strict" then you'll get all the male posts, and the coed ones. If you set "female" and "strict" then you only see the scenes that are tagged female (i.e. contain women only), you don'y get the coed ones. Likewise with "male" and "strict" both set you don't see coed posts, just male-only ones.
In all cases you do also get anything tagged "n/a" as in doesn't have a gender - discussions about how to build gunge tanks or where to buy pudding in large quantities for instance.
Personally, I'd say the posts that are about scenes where men get gunged by women but the women stay clean shouldn't be tagged coed, but male, and likewise if a scene has a man who stays clean messing up a woman that should be under female - coed to me should only be where both men and women get wet or messy. However I don't know if others would agree with that or not - in fact I'll start a poll and see if we can find out.
I've seen a couple of these comments and as a gay guy I just laugh. If I turn off the "male" content filter I have on, it's like 90% female stuff, and with it on there is still a lot of female stuff that comes through. Tweak you filters as others have suggested and you will minimize it.
And really, it's not an encumbrance. It's easy to just scroll to quickly past. I do so while yelling out "Damn my eyes, now I might be straight again".
Seriously though, for me I don't mind some straight stuff coming through on my timeline. Maybe I'm unique for a gay guy, but I can still appreciate them. We have some damn aesthetically beautiful women of all types on here and the production quality is often quite excellent. If anything I can check out the mess or the mud and think about how much fun I'd have duplicating it with some guy friends.
I LOVE the fact that there is more male content....I think it is incredible to see these guys making their own videos and really embracing the wam TOGETHER as well. I am not into watching two guys, not really my thing, BUT I have found it really cool to see guys doing this, being open, and I have also enjoyed seeing people like rev find guys to get totally messed up!! I love this!!
It is becoming more balanced. I think it is fantastic. I have a total dude crush on here. he doesn't like me "that way" but omg. hes totally my dude crush. I told him hes my boyfriend. I can always pretend. lol
but yeah, I understand if you aren't into that type of thing, thanks for clearing that up, MM. always on the ball (wipes brown off nose) hahaah!
Aha! Brilliant, thank you. And for the FAQ in general.
Messmaster said: Also, I don't believe the Coed option was his particular confusion?
It was mentioned by another poster above as a possible source for the confusion, and I'd seen the same things and wondered why they were showing up as co-ed when to me those are male wam - but I see from your other post and the poll results so far that to lots of people that is co-ed so fair enough, happy to accept what the community thinks. I'll leave the poll up just to see what the final tally is out of curiosity but if results so far are any guide it's an even split of opinions.

okay, so question....if its me, and im sucking a dudes dong.....or we are fucking but its like POV style mostly.....the dudes face is not featured, the main focus is ME, is it considered co ed?? or female?? I know most people would say "co ed, duh" but not particularly...I mean, its a penis, attached to a male but he really plays no role besides stunt penis (im going to coin that term in some form)
now, like videos where I am in bath with stunt penis, or just stunt man....the focus Is mainly me and what he is doing to me but he is rubbing on me, and this is meant for you to be able to capture the fantasy of it being YOU and I am role playing that this is YOU doing this with me, is this co ed or female? im sorry that may sound like a dumb question but I have sincerely wondered this. I don't care either way I just wanna make sure I do the right thing!!
Ok, so it looks like we are getting into what i refer to as the "Shoe sorting issue" (I have to sort a lot of things in my job but not shoes) we could have brown, black, red shoes, slip ons, lace up, Velcro, though heel, low heel, flats but wait.... those brown shoes are lace up and those are slip ones, those black one are high and those flat, that pair of red are....and on and on it goes until you end up completely confused and just throw them all in the cupboard. Personally as a strait man I really couldn't care less what's posted so long as it's legal and consenting and everyone is having fun I am perfectly capable of clicking past the male stuff without risk of turning gay or being offended or even that bothered
Wouldnt mind love but will take anything I can get
Jayce saidthe dudes face is not featured, the main focus is ME, is it considered co ed?? or female??
I try to look at it like a visitor. People looking for coed want some sort of male / female interaction, so that's like 99% of the reason for that category. If you believe your scene would appeal to them for whatever reasons (they like POV, etc), I'd mark the post Coed.
For your scenes on a UMD store, that totally goes by the models attached. So the gender will automatically be Coed if you attach the dude as a model along with yourself. Forum plugs for such a scene obviously should match the gender tagging of scene.

Yep! That's why it's a positive search, rather than a negative search or a "filter" per se. Clicking a gender bubble makes the site *look* for that content, rather than filtering others. This is why Coed (male+female) content shows up when you only have male or female selected. This is like searching for high heels, rather than all shows that are not brown. (Strict mode effectively sort of reverses this.)
Hi MessMaster, I'm just trying to fully understand the filter. So I have mine set to female, but up pops posts like Naked hot guy John gets trashed by Bob. I don't have mine set to coed, so do I have the wrong setting or is this an error in the filter.
I wanna point out I have no problem with people who like male wam, it's just not for me.

It sounds like you haven't got the strict option enabled, so you are still getting co-ed scenes like the one you mention (which, despite the title, has women in it too)

i never put dude as a model on mine....just because, he isnt the focus BUT I see what you are saying. I think it is a good idea to mark it "co ed" if people are looking for interaction....even if they cant see the face of the person im sucking off. lol i refuse to use proper terminology for private parts or sexual interactions. haha. please dont make THAT a rule. I love the word "dong"

That post, which you also flagged (thanks), is correctly marked coed because there is a male and female in it at the same time. The girl pies the guy near the end. You saw this scene because you did not have "Strict" mode turned on. I have turned it on for you.

I would like to point out that there is also a "Transgender" category, and it DOES get used. There are options, and there are settings for screening those options. This is where I also ask all of us to be cognizant of the gender tags when posting.
For instance, regarding Jayce's question and the follow ups. Honestly, I think you should use Coed for those scenes because there is still another human being attached to that dong. For some people that's a THING. They ONLY want to see women, or men, or transgender, etc. Posting a vid with the guy COULD illicit another thread like this one.
We could argue the semantics over the differences between a video with D, vs a dildo, but it's still another person. Also, I don't think D would particularly like being compared to a dildo!

I also noticed the rise of male content, being straight (LGBTQ Ally) the filters are good enough for me.
On a side note, I'm actually happy about the increase of male content as the tide go up all the boat rise.. it's up to the producers to leverage that opportunity to their advantage.. We all benefit if the producers and UMD are doing good! Just one big happy place
Interesting conversations; some hair splitting, and many different perspectives.
As a bisexual, I like it all, thank you very much. I like viewing and reading postings by men, women, CDs and transsexuals here, and I appreciate comments and conversations from all.
I haven't always been bisexual. When I first discovered online WAM 30 years ago, and then 12 years ago this wonderful site, I was straight. Or hadn't yet discovered my bisexuality. Potato/Potahto. I wouldn't mind a guy in coed pics, and enjoyed stories told by guys, as long as they were about women, or guys' experiences with them.
Over time, I found myself looking more frequently at the guys in the pictures, or the guys in groups splashing about in fountains I'd hang out at in shiny jeans, or with their boxers showing through wet khakis. It seemed to me at the time the stirrings I felt was imagining myself being in their clothes, water or mess, playing with their companions. However, bit by bit I came to realize that I was turned on seeing these guys in the same ways I was turned on seeing the gals.
Did seeing hot guys in wet, clinging jeans or covered head to toe in syrup make me bisexual? No. Would I have realized my bisexuality without this fetish as the gateway? Eventually maybe, I really have no idea. But I probably discovered who I really am more quickly because of it than I otherwise would have.

Oh yes, indeed a trans friend and I set up https://transwam.umd.net/ (also featuring one of my regular cis models), though sadly it's not taken off, we sold a very few videos in the first three months and nothing since. I was only talking about the visual effect, which because this site is so much about images and video is very significant here. I can also understand why MM set the preference choices up the way he did.

Agree completely - having been here 21 years the transformation in diversity and acceptance has been huge and wonderful to see, reflecting the progress in wider society. And likeiwse, I wish I had the figure I did 30 years ago. Too many pies of the eating, instead of throwing, variety.
So I've been here for quite a long time, near the beginning I guess and I've seen UMD evolve from a small niche site with was mainly amateur heterosexual content to what it is now, which I think is best described (in my opinion) as a really open pro/amateur site which welcomes everyone.
Once thing I have noticed is that the level of heterosexual/girl amateur content has declined and that area is now more professional, whilst at the same time the gay amateur content has exploded (forgive the pun ). It appears that men are far more open to getting messy then ladies and so this isn't a surprise that the amateur content would be going that way.
Overall I'm still quite happy here and it's great to welcome new people from all corners of the sexual community to our little world.
So to sum up; keep it up guys and girls, pros and amateursI think you're all fantastic people
Lucky for me, I'm like Steve and enjoy it all (though I also wasn't always that way). Girls, boys, girls and boys, girls and girls, boys and boys, it's all lovely and good for me
I think the forums and conversation have benefitted so much since becoming integrated and I enjoy seeing the breadth of content and opinions. I remember it was so controversial at the time we did away with the male WAM forum, but MM knew what he was doing.
