This is technically wam adjacent for obvious reasons but I'm putting it in non-wam cuz there's no people involved. I'm super thankful for how much cheaper/easier it is to get vanity plates in the US vs the rest of the world, and especially in Arizona. I'm wondering how many people will get it and if I'll make some new friends
2020 rsv4 1100 factory. Have the appointment this friday for the 600 mile service as I'm finally near the end of the break-in period. Only the second bike Ive ever bought brand new. Having the undertail eliminator done too. Almost sold the RC51 to help offset the cost but couldn't bring myself to let go.
Silver_sea said: Nice, proper big boy bike. I didn't get past 125cc (and a little legal fun to get a 250 equivalent on a 125 licence...Ds Zero; no engine, no CC).
Still remember the fun I had riding them though, my current little work scooter is cute but limited to 30 and I can get to 20 faster on foot!
One day I'll do a touring holiday on a Triumph
It's hard to ride anything smaller than a 600 if you're going to ride on the freeways in Arizona. You'll get blown over by an 18-wheeler doing 75mph. My last 2 bikes were 1000cc vtwins - Suzuki TL1000-r and then a Honda RC51 (vtr1000 in UK). Before those the first road bike I owned myself was a Suzuki katana 600. Played in the dirt plenty before that but those have been my pavement pounders
I never thought about it but my friend in college had a 250 Suzuki I believe. She let me learn how to drive In parking lot. I wonder how she got around on freeways. We were in az too
I tear around Florida on a Ducati XDiavel S, some great roads to the North, its great for getting around the city and long 90mph runs on the fwy. I also have a 1969 Harley Shovel I am rebuilding slowly, and putting in an Indian Larry frame, keeps me off the streets LOL

Phil
Those are some glorious machines. Next time I'm in FL to shoot I'll have to find a bike rental and hit the roads with yah
Man I know some really good places, perfect places to get in trouble LOL Live music, cheap Jack and Cokes and lots of hot biker girls with a bunch of tattoo's and fake boobies
The Shovel will take me a year or two to finish, but will be badass once done. I call the Ducati 'Dookie the Terrible' I doubt many machines would be able to keep up with either of us in a drag race......
Oh I make no bones about my involvement in the community. I have zero shame. They'll get an earful. Meanwhile I have to be careful at my day job for HR reasons lol. My plate on my car says "Mr Cake" and I've had to tell a few stories about that one for sure
Had an emotionally heavy day sunday with the loss of a family member. When the world is ouchy I respond by making sure there's more beautiful stuff to offset discomfort. On MondayI rode a motorcycle to the top of a mountain and took in unheard of beauty.I cursed myself for not bringing my actual gear and only having a camera phone to create with, but you do the best with the tools you have at the time. The bike looks WAY better with the new undertail kit on it. Was sad I was in a rush on the way out the door to beat the sunset and didn't remember to bring my REAL camera gear but this isn't too bad for a phone pic

Congrats on passing the test! have you picked out what you wanted to ride yet? I put the passenger pad on the Aprilia for only the second time it's ever been used over this weekend and I have to admit there's something amusing about being told "holy shit, I actually came a couple of times" after a ride. The v4 doesn't vibrate/thump quite as aggressively as the rc51's 90 degree v-twin but it definitely transmits a great deal of sensation to the passenger pillion once you've smashed past 8,500 rpms and beyond
