If you are in fact here on your own accord just ignore all the douche bags accusing you of being fake.
I got hounded when I started posting stuff here too.
If you want to start doing customs my advice is the following:
1. Start a waiting list. Only work on 1 custom at a time.
2. Only take money from the person on the top of the list and don't accept any addition money until you complete that video. Even better idea is to not take any money at all and front the supply cost yourself. Then take the money when video is ready to deliver.
Doing the above will keep you from getting over whelmed and prevent the "i never got my custom" complaints since you never took money for all the other vids you may have promised to do.

I would have to say the bast way to appear to be legit is to....actually be legit! Holy shit! I know, it takes time AND effort to make the money. Upload some clips for sale and then look for customs. They will find you if your good.

Stop & think about it. A lady puts an innocent, fun vid on youtube. She notices a ton of traffic and is curious where it's all coming from. She checks it out and it's an adult fetish site! And if she checked out the threads regarding her vid, she saw some somewhat crude comments. If you didn't know this was even a fetish, it would have to startle you, and could creep you out.
She thought about it, processed it in her mind, and decided it's not that bad. Then an idea comes. "If they like it that much, maybe I could SELL a few vids to pay off my student loans!"
(Still don't know if Chris is involved, but that's a reasonable thought process.)

I apologise for some of the reception you have received which seems to have been less than welcoming and quite frankly as a moderator of this community I'm ashamed and embarrassed! There are actually some cool people here and it is quite a fun community most of the time so I hope you haven't been put off to too much but I don't blame you if you have. The level of scepticism you have received is in major part to a scammer who has recently conned a lot of users by posing as a model offering customs or sessions. For this reason we the UMD operates a policy of only allowing people with UMD stores who are approved to offer customs videos using a UMD account. Layla's advice is the most sound I have seen on this thread so far and I definitely agree start by producing a few videos yourself and setting up a store. I will warn you as a producer myself it is a lot of hard work but also a lot of fun. Don't be deluded into thinking you could get rich from it though. Anyhow all the best and don't hesitate to message me for help and advice.

Sure be sceptical, show some diligence, you don't have to go flocking to this girl with your wallet open. If you have a problem with a user and believe them to be fake of breaking the Terms of Service then please get in touch with myself Messmaster or one of the other mods and we'll look into it. Anyone who I catch in future acting like a pitchfork brandishing yokel trying to conduct a witch hunt will have their ability to post on forums removed. I hope that is clear!

Things that make me skeptical
1) you wrote that you posted this video about a month ago when in fact the original posting youtube date two weeks ago.
2) You said that you had stumbled upon UMD as traffic seemed to be coming from here but your video desciption says "Taking requests for more messy videos! Please leave comments with ideas!" And your Username is "Messy Mandy" And it is your only video posted from an account less than 4 months old.
3) You selected an original photo of you however the bubble hides half your face and is in fact the same display picture as your youtube.
4) This statement "was a little creeped out. I've come to terms with that and now, as a poor college student, I'm willing to take requests if there's enough interest!" The video was clearly targeted to this fetish to begin with... soooo
Thus being said if you are in fact who you say you are welcome to UMD.
I still strongly caution everyone from purchasing customs from new people that just happen along. Especially when it seems so obvious. I feel that there should be some rule in place to have a store for x amount of time before customs can be permitted, but again it is the buyers wallet I suppose.

As to the best way to avoid conning, I think MB is right again, but more targeted, they have to release for sale, public videos through the site before being approved for customs.

Unfortunately, due to the scam artist I mentioned in my first post (and others after him), you can't offer customs without going this route. I'm not sure if that's a deal breaker or not.

Awww thanks Bunny. Actually there is such a policy. Nobody is allowed to solicit customs anywhere on this site unless I have approved them to. To get approved, you must have had a download store for some time, and show some consistency to your activity on the site. That lets us know you aren't a ghost, and gives customers some of your past work to look at, as well as a platform on which to rate your service on our ratings pages once you're approved. (I keep saying "you" but I mean "one" :dunce
