It seemed pretty obvious to me for a long time (i.e. always) that it was a dude behind the account. The language "Kelsey" used and the perspectives shared always struck me as masculine. At the most I thought "Kelsey" was a "transwoman". I didn't follow any of the drama (if there was any) I was completely unaware of any member conflicts or optimistic " While Knighting" But I never said anything because I have learned that the UMD peanut gallery doesn't really welcome scepticism.
Not surprised here, but I had no investment in any way.
dalamar666 said: To play devil's advocate for a small minute with this. There is nothing that says that the picture in your avatar has to be you. There is a chance the ID that was sent was not the person in the avatar picture. However, if they kept the ID for the model and then sent that in to be verified, that is in the identity theft area and should be turned over to authorities. There is nothing that says the person has to be the gender identity in their profile. There is nothing that says the avatar photo has to match the ID.
All verified means is that the person using the alias is a real person and their ID is on an encrypted non internet stored drive. I think that is something people forget. I would assume a legal name would be required on the back end to set up a store etc.
It is absolutely fucked up using pictures of a deceased person claiming to be you. There are free tools on the internet that can be used to do a reverse image search. Some of the tools out there are not free and can give all kinds of results. I think using these tools before you do business with someone is not a bad idea.
At the end of the day if you have a store what they do then you need to prove your real identity for age verification and tax purposes so yes I do think this is a big deal and a fuck up on admins part
You're right I completely forgot "Kelsey" had a store. I know you need an address and tax information for one of those here. It was a big thing back when that was announced almost a decade ago.
Chris the scammer found ways to circumvent that too though. Through Gia and another model.
I remember Gia trying to make a comeback after that whole debacle, but I don't believe it got very far.
To be clear, I DON'T YET KNOW what details we're going to get on the verification process. Maybe there's some kind of legitimate explanation, maybe not. All I'm saying is this seems to be a matter of public interest and the allegations are serious enough for a Verified account that it merits MM weighing in IMHO.
Funny how a simple video of "Kelsey" proving her identity could have ending the argument immediately.. but deleting the page and spouting bs is a perfect bandaid to slap over the situation

It's insane what lengths people will go to these days. It's very sickening and very sad.
I had always had a feeling "Kelsey" wasn't a real figure in the community. Too many things didn't add up. I'm glad that this is finally being brought to light and talked about. Very nice work Slop Slvt!
Again, this is the environment that allows these creeps to pose as women and get away with it. There are plenty of real women on the UMD posting REAL pics now. Please don't get distracted by every "hot girl" avatar and a few Playboy-Forum-style anecdotes!
I totally felt this earlier today, remembering all the times she got WOTD. I don't remember seeing Rich call out Kelsey for being fake before, and I don't remember if I defended her if I did see it, but I'm sorry that he wasn't given the benefit of the doubt and that it wasn't looked into further at that time. She was so vocal on the forums that it was a little disarming. I stopped communicating with Kelsey about 2 years ago. At first I was really excited to chat with her when we first met online. But then I was getting frustrated with her cancelling on me every fucking time she "scheduled" something with me in person, to the point that I finally stopped responding to her messages all together. When I left social media I never heard from her again. I'm not surprised to learn that Kelsey isn't real, but to learn that the image is from a deceased woman is just disturbing.
I want to extend my gratitude to Slop Slvt for investigating this and exposing it. So grateful to you for doing this work and for taking on the level of stress and risk that comes with it, I truly appreciate you
We still have this slight issue that remains completely unanswered and unaddressed which is how is it that someone posed as a model as long as they have, completely untouched, was able to contact other models to set up shoots and win multiple WOTDs while supposedly "verified".
If this happened, what's to stop anyone from doing something worse? What's the point of verifying anyone if it is so easily defeated?
I have to second the statements of "thank you" to Slop Slvt for doing the legwork but my question now is directed to upper management: Why was Slop Slvt's efforts necessary in the first place?
Slimed Models said: I found this out from Slop Slvt's work on Instagram this morning. I feel betrayed and devastated, but moreover just fucking stupid for being so naive and trusting. I'll need some time to rebrand the scenes that "Kelsey" shot for my site, which we unfortunately communicated entirely through email and Instagram so I just took "her" for her word that she was who she said. I am so sorry that my work and reputation got so tied to someone who I was collaborating with who turned out to be misrepresenting themselves.
Personal apology to Rich who I reached out to in private this morning. A while back he announced his suspicions that Kelsey wasn't real and I really told him off because I thought "she" was my friend and I trusted her. We've buried the hatchet in private.
Just want to ensure everyone that this is just as shocking to me as it is all of you, and I am really heartbroken today at being so blatantly lied to for SO LONG
Appreciate the contrition, but I do think branding scenes as 'Directed' by Kelsey Rose lent a lot of authenticity to what otherwise would have been a much more suspicious persona. It heavily implied she had been present at the shoots and, therefore, was real.
(And all kudos to Rich for being clear sighted on this one, and especially to Slop Slvt for finally giving us clarity.)

Yeah, louder for people in the back.
I have my guesses, but none are grounded in any knowledge as to how the process works, so I'll wait for MM to share rather than fomenting hypotheticals that could be mistaken as fast.
For the sake of people being informed as to past attempts by "Kelsey" to stir up animosity in seemingly bad faith (I already used the word "foment" this morning), I was able to track down the thread where "Kelsey" put Rich on blast for extremely weird and contrived reasons about 2 years ago.
Im shook, but not surprised. Ive been questioning her being real or not since i joined the site and she started messaging me. I didnt think she was real, but had no real proof. I was supposed to shoot with her then was ghosted when I got out to LA. Ive talked to multiple other people in the community about her leggitness, asking if anyone actually met her, nope, she fooled everyone <3

I completely recognize that and that's why I feel like such garbage today. I also was lied to, and "she" had told me she was present for these sets, with the help of "her boyfriend." I was completely taken for a ride and I apologize to everyone for being so trusting and "respecting her privacy" on "her" request to not dig for verification. Never trust anyone.
Im surprised this has taken this long. I remember seeing this years ago and since then realising how obvious it was. It kinda reminds me of Jessie tbh, it seemed easy to make big posts as her too. It seems funny now after being called a mysogynist for dissagreeing with this person who was once described as a "pillar of the community" that they were hiding behind "Kelsey" as they hurled thier abuse and bowing for aplause.
I dont think varification should be any harder because of one person who went to such extremes to bypass it. People here express themselvs in many different ways that make others feel they are being lied to, you just have to remember that unless you meet somebody in person, you dont really know who they are.
This is just...BEYOND fucked up. Makes me glad I never bought the scenes, but for those who did...YIKES.
EDIT: Let me add that something about Kelsey's interactions were always sus to me, but "she" seemed to be a well-liked member of the forum, so eventually my suspicions waned.

Hard disagree. If you sell content, are a model or producer, you should absolutely be verified to the freaking gills. I don't care how "invasive" it is.
We have producers from here till Christmas groaning due to the draconian merchant policies against adult content because one, ONE group of scumbags thought it would be cute to coerce underage women into shooting porn for PH and now the entire industry is paying for it.
That's all it takes to bring this community down. Just one instance. We have had 2 major occurrences of deliberately deceptive behavior from a model/producer account in the past 6 months.
So all 8 years' worth of photos on "her" instagram page... those were of the other girl who OP posted chat screenshots from? Or they were the now deceased woman?

The pictures of "Kelsey" in her profile pictures and the selfies are of the deceased woman. The photos that "Kelsey" claimed to be herself getting slimed, are actually of a fetish model (who is still living) and confirmed that it was from a slime shoot she did for "Kelsey." And of course, told me that "Kelsey" was never at the shoots, but confirmed that Todd was there.

I was more thinking of varification of members like me who dont run a store or any kind of model agency. MM claims to work with all of the store owners on a personal level so id asume that they were all vetted personally by him in addition and not just relying on the varification system. Im sure that in future he will be a bit more careful with this process. Its this that seperates UMD from massive sites like PH.

You know what Richie, this is not enough of an explanation for me, and I'm finding it hard to trust you. You are the one who introduced me to Kelsey, I met her because of YOU. Because I thought you were working with a woman that I was bonding with over being a genuine wammer, I felt like you were more trustworthy to work with, Kelsey talked you up as being a decent guy.
The first time she flaked on me when she told me she was in town, I was bummed, but whatev, she was traveling and it was last second. The second time, a little frustrated, but it happens, travel schedules are crazy. The third time she did it I felt disrespected the way my time was really not even considered, and the fourth time she did it I stopped responding to her. 4 times, that was enough for me to question her or at least give up on ever working with her. How long have you been working with her? How long have you known her that you never fucking spoke to her on the phone? Even I have at least spoken to you on the phone. You were so cautious with your identity when I first worked with you, so protective. In fact, I had to rewrite that first contract because I thought you were asking for more than was necessary to ensure my confidence. And yet you were never that cautious with Kelsey to verify her identity and ensure her confidence the way you wanted to do with me? No sir, this does not add up to me right now. I just think you're too smart to not have questioned her at some point, even I did after she flaked out so many times. I feel like it would be really naive of me to assume that you were so easily taken for a ride.
