This makes more and more sense, as WPIX and the Daily News were owned by the same company, so it follows that the spot would have run a lot on that station. Probably filmed/taped at WPIX as well, as they had excellent facilities and did a lot of local production.

I've found copies as late as 1987 selling on eBay, so it was not as "short-lived" as we might have believed. The earliest copies I've seen referenced are from 1979, though I can't yet confirm whether the magazine started specifically in that year. But given the nature of the commercial - generic overview, splashy and memorable content (the pie in the face ending in an era in which women were still infrequently seen as pie targets), and frequent airings makes it quite possible that this ad was used to introduce viewers to the thing when it was new.

the electric company skit with the er, est endings. several females are pied. The skit plays out like a gameshow hosted by skip hinnant and the others are sticking their heads through holes in the wall. skip also gets pied at the end

There are these pie scenes from what I believe to be some Swiss(?) show called Carabine FM. Not sure if anyones come across the full versions of these scenes but ya can gets glimpses of them (and they look half decent) in some promo vids they did for the DVD.

I wish there were more unseen NHP clips or just unseen TV gunge tank clips in general, however it looks like all these are available on YouTube.

The channel that uploaded every ep of NHP has literally just uploaded in the last hour the very first Saturday Roadshow, which I've NEVER seen online. He says in comments he doesn't have every ep, but considering most of the first series from 1988 has never been on, we can hopefully expect a few new scenes! He says series 1 is patchy - and was wiped, so possibly tricky to find, but has almost all of S2 and all but one of S3. If nothing else, some already on YT may now get quality upgrades.

This first episode features a very good-looking 22yo woman getting gunged. It's not fantastic coverage, but I'm very happy to see it!

I'd really like to see any (and all) of the EC scenes, just for nostalgia purposes. If anything can be said to "create" a fetish, for me it was that show. Absolutely formative. (As you could probably tell from all the times I've ripped them off in SlapstickStuff skits....)

The weirdest thing is, I don't remember this particular scene at all. It's legendary among us collectors tho. I've tried hunting the Rita Moreno "ooops" skit without success. The brief Judy clips I put on YouTube come from an old Hurley cliptape, and hopefully better quality versions surface eventually.

Other PBS shows have seen their archives open up, so a bit sad that the Electric Company stopped doing official releases a decade ago, after a couple DVD sets and some additional episodes on Amazon. (None of those have "our" scenes either.)

The full movie Prima Donnas (aka Social Suicide, 1995) doesn't seem to be available anywhere. It has one of the best WaM scenes but I've only encountered incoherent fragments of it.

I need to reorganized my files, because I find clips any now and then from TV shows but misplace and find them again. I probably have some 20s sitcom mess that hasn't been uploaded yet at my disposal.

Another "holy grail" for me: Outtakes from "The Great Race" pie fight. We've seen here on photo of Natalie Wood's first pie that hits different than whats in the movie. Studios kept outtakes. Also more photos by the photographer on set. The Life article said he had several (still) cameras shooting. There must of been more pictures.

I have that on VHS. The whole movie is one big set up to the climax where a fancy schmancy party is destroyed every way imaginable, including with WAM elements. But that money shot where a hot girl (or girls) gets messed up in a big way with decent aftermath is not there.

In the movie, there is the older (40's) attractive mother character and many younger pretty girls. The younger pretty girls do get it, but its off screen and you have to still the picture to see a wide shot of the effects of the mess on them. The mess is great, but the grainy VHS pic doesn't help much. The beautiful lead, Shannon Sturges, stays clean as a whistle. The mother is the one that really gets the mess but much of it is off-screen. She does have a short dialogue scene at the end while she is covered though.

Agreed. That said, I would give anything to see another movie where see that level of destruction of a fancy party. I mean, there is Blake Edwards' The Party, but that only has suds and people falling in the pool. And the Nutt House, which isn't too bad. Oh - and the Stooges too. But other than that, I can't think of anything.

Chocolate com Pimenta Capitulo 100 (at the end of the ep.) is very decent in this regard.

That's the closest. But the emphasis always seems to be more on the massage itself or the spectacle of the mess than actual body contact and slipping and sliding around. I think I wanna coin the term "body sex"

Just before Christmas, the VIVA network uploaded a HD clip of all the cake/pie fights from that show, which is a step up in quality from the previously circulating SD versions. I believe the fancy party episode you mention is included. (Although there are better ones for female hits than that clip.)

There is this Mexican pie fight from somewhere that I can't remember but it's on the WAMflix archives if I recall and that has a similar level of mass pie fight that goes on for a while with fancy clothes (the settings a wedding). I actually think it's one of the better filmed pie fights but it doesn't seem to get too much of a mention. Likewise the extended cut of the Nutt house pie fight is great in that it certainly goes for it and the pies are good quality but could use more of a mixup and it goes without saying that the comedy's fucking dogshit.

Yeah, there was a post about it recently. The VIVA versions are, naturally just the peak fragments of the whole scenes. All those 7 afaik relevant episodes are already available in HD (although in 16x9, not like Globo's 4x3) somewhere on the internet.

Not sure if that's what you meant but there is a large pie fight at some ceremony/celebration in the Brazilian movie Panca de valente (1968). You can watch it on YT; the fight is around 50:00.
