There were screencaps of a mud scene from 1995 posted on Himajin's (Route 207) messy tv blog. The title as far as translate tells me is a travelogue show called "Excitement Express".

It's the Totumo volcano in Colombia, but look how thick this mud is here. Never seen it like that before, and a headfirst dive! These screengrabs exist, so there has to be video lurking out there somewhere.

I actually picked up the dvd set second hand. I was so excited thinking that for sure it would have at least one of the pie scenes with the cute brunette (Lulu/Lolita) but...no.

It did have, for whatever reason, the exact trailer above. The only other pie in the 3 dvd set was to one of the men.

Deidre Hall was mentioned a couple times and seeing this Mike Douglas show pie would rank high on my list. Didn't she get pied on her soap opera once? I must be dreaming because that probably would have turned up by now if she had been.

Someone also mentioned Holly from The Price is Right. I recall a Showcase pie skit called "Spoiled Brat Holly" in which she gets pied in the end. It would be awesome if that turned up. It might. The Game Show network (Buzzr, I think it is called) or some other similar network has been running commercials for some new network or streaming site that will be showing Barker era episodes of TPR including ones "not seen for years." Something like that. I think the network is called Pluto TV.

A clip I'd love to see but that almost certainly will never turn up is a Chicago area radio station's tv commercial from the 70s, I think. The line that triggers the pie is something like "WXRT (or some other letters) the place where I get my hits!" It was said by a very attractive young woman in a t-shirt advertising the station who is then pied and pied very well indeed. It is reputed to be an incredible hit. My memory is far too fuzzy to be trusted on that detail. These things often don't live up to our memories of them. Hurley had this on his list and told me he was also told it was supposed to be a great clip.

Also from Chicago area tv is a clip or multiple clips from the 70s and, perhaps, 80s Bozo Circus. They did a skit at least twice on Friday the 13ths where they pulled mothers out of the audience to play a game where each would do something that traditionally was considered bad luck. The final woman (an attractive younger one in the version I very dimly remember) broke a mirror and then promptly got a shaving cream pie in the face. I'm sure, of course, she was a ringer and knew it was coming.

Oh, since Florence Henderson was also mentioned. I saw a clip on YT recently of her being pied by Mike Douglas on his show. This was new to me. It would make the third pie she took on mainstream tv. The Brady Bunch and Bonkers pies being the others. I'm not finding it right now on YT (I saw it when it was very late and I was very tired). Is anyone familiar with it? The clip I saw was w/o sound and was a good hit.

Before the show, I Bet You Will was on mtv. It started on the internet. And there was a female news host that did a segment on the show. During the interview she took a bet to have a big jar of applesauce dumped on her head. I'm sure no one will ever find this clip, I don't even know where to start lol.

Looking through my folders the other day, there's a cool clip of Lightning (from UK Gladiators) getting hit with a ton of pies on Sooty, but it has a music overlay instead of native sound. It's a great clip, would love to get it with sound someday.

The entire video of Piegirlkay taking over a 100 pies and then slimed. I've never seen the entire film, but unfortunately I probably never will as they retired and closed her store.

The episode is called "Dafta Awards" and is on both YT and Dailymotion.

I can't say for sure that Diedre was never pied on her soap. But I do know for a fact that there was one scene where a male character was trying hard to pie her. He chased her around the kitchen with a chocolate cream pie while she tried to talk him out of it. He said she deserved it for some previous incident where someone had gotten him messy and she did nothing to stop it. In the end Diedre manages to duck and the pie goes into the face of an older guy entering the kitchen at just the wrong moment. (I think maybe it's supposed to be Diedre's character's father, but not sure.)

I remember a scene from what might have been a German/Dutch/UK TV series of movie, from cca 2000s or around 2010.
A middle aged woman goes to an apartment store (the typical old European one with this elevator in the middle and a rectangular staircase around it). She goes to visit a man, possibly her ex-boyfriend. They have a conversation in the corridor in front of his apartment. He seems to be tired and is reluctant to speak, goes back to his apartment and returns with a cake which he then smashes into the woman's face. She then leaves the building and is seen walking down the street with cream still on her face.

Does anyone remember it or know from where the scene was?

*That's* the name of the show! I've been trying to remember what that program was called!

What I remember about it was that it was a "summer replacement" show in 1984. I only saw 1 pie scene on it, so I assume that we're talking about the same one:

I got home from work that night just as the show was starting. Not too long into it (IIRC), there was a sketch where a beautiful, snobby woman is dressed to the nines. She's saying, "This dress is from Bob Mackie. These shoes are from Christian Louboutin. This purse is from Gucci." (random items and designer names that I just came up with for illustration)

The guy with her says, "This pie is from Laurel & Hardy!" And he smacks her with a nice cream pie! She was a mess, and I was turned on! I knew I'd never make it to the VCR in the bedroom in time to catch it. And there were never any reruns!

But I've thought about that scene at different times, and could not remember what program it was. Thanks for the brain jolt!

The actress is the Motown Revue skit was named Cheryl Rhoads. I asked her about the scene and she said that Arsenio Hall was the one who hit her with a pie but I thought it was a white guy. Maybe my memory is bad. If you can find pictures of Cheryl from the 80's she was pretty hot back then.

More fool me I also scrubbed through them all at the time of the OP and gave up. But the 1979 episode is the only one even close to the description (and that's definitely the comtemporary BBC ident). Unfortunately, for dramatic purposes (as an homage to films such as 'A Street Car Named Desire') its visual quality is further degraded by being in black and white. She also gets 'coffee' thrown in her face.

A few for me:

Outtakes from "The Great Race" pie fight. We have stills of an alternate first hit of Natalie Wood (see below), another of Curtis and Lemmon pieing Mayor Yorty's wife. I had hoped there might be some extra video for a 50th anniversary DVD, but no.

An episode of the short-lived "Mona McCluskey" show in which star Juliet Prowse and others get pied. It's listed on Wikipedia, "Lovebirds and Jailbirds," but I couldn't find it on YouTube. She was best known for film and stage musicals and died young of cancer, and she was stunning. Incredible legs. I recall two couples sitting at a night club booth and letting each other have it. The show lasted one season, 1965-66, so no VCRs. That's her in the photo below in "G.I. Blues."

And here's the really impossible one: In college 50 years ago, early 1970s, my TV class was shown a documentary on early TV that had a montage of gorgeous startlets on early variety shows getting pied. Most were wearing strapless gowns. It was a film being shown in class, so who paid attention to the title? I think it was something like "Bye Bye B--"

All these years and all these Great Race threads and I have NEVER seen that Take 1 of Natalie's first hit! I sure am glad they redid it! It would be really funny and quite the turn on to find out there were like 15 takes.

Series 1 of Hangar 17. There was a storyline running with the season of a couple of female reporters trying to infiltrate the studio. At the end of many of the episodes they were found and gunged under the "Comedy Cones". Usually wearing hats but at least once one of them fell off.

That series seems to have been wiped from the planet, even IMDB does not help with who played the reporters.

I hope this isn't too problematic but I was reminded of this recently. Eons ago, before Lisa, Leon Moomin had a girlfriend named Jemma. She was very cute. He gunged her with green gunge on I suppose his bed. He posted a video of it all those years ago. Long before gunge tank girls or any of that.

I asked about buying it a while ago and was informed that it's not for sale, for fairly obvious reasons. I'm sure I have the video on an old computer, but who knows if I will ever find it.

If something changes and that scene is available again, I will be thenfirst to buy it. The gunge was very nice and Jemma was very cute.

Gabriel Drake also appeared with John Cleese in an advert for Yellow Pages(actually, Talking Pages, their telephone service) in which the house gets flooded up to their necks. Ms Drake looked delightfully drenched.
