Some of you know what has happened with me recently. I recently had my roomate move out bc i told him his little girlfriend he literally picked up on the side of the road, could not stay any longer in our home. I gave her clothes off my back, money, food and shelter for a few weeks and then, once he was breaking terms of our lease I asked him nicely where she was going to go. An honest question.
He stormed and raged and packed up everything and left. He left me with an apartment i cannot afford and for a girl and we have been friends for almost 15 years. This girl is the girl on my profile and biz, our used to be cameraman.
Needless to say i was devastated that a warm hole could break up a friendship and that even though we agreed, as long time friends, to never leave eachother hanging, he left me and my son here, in an apartment way too expensive for me and did not hold up his end of the bargain. He did not pay his bills, he has given me nothing. So, now i have to take him to court where they will tell him he owes me money but i will probably never see it even though he is STILL on the lease. He left a single mother high and dry and my son, who he claimed to care deeply about. he is only 5.
I never in a million years thought he could do that to me. Honest to God, never though it.
It has been a rough, rough month. I have been stressed to the point where some days I have no idea what to do. I have had a friend i met here from the umd (you know who you are) help me with half of my rent which i am paying back to him now. I dont know how to thank him but here the thing about miss Ariel.

This shit happened and Ariel had just had surgery. She could have totally thought of only herself but this bitch (love you got up, was a fucking champ, and helped me get my nose to the grind. Any customs, she has helped me get through them, get them done and has had no concern for herself. completely selfless. I paid for a justin timberlake ticket halfway when this had happened and told her husband i could not go, that i needed my money back and i couldn't go. you know what they did? they paid the rest of my ticket. They offered to pay for my food and my way down.....not only that, on the way ariel hands me an envelope that i open and she has made me a coupon for anything from the vendors so i could get a shirt too, like she was. I got to still go see this amazing show with my best friend in the whole world besides my sister. I could not have been happier. Her and her husband, since I have moved here have been nothing short of family to me. They have taken in me and my son before we found a place, this woman would gladly stop whatever she is doing just to come help me clean my house. She has two of her own and step children and is a housewife along with being a very active and hard working/playing member of the messy and wet community. She does it all with style and grace I couldnt even begin to do.
This is how she is, this is how her husband is....they are amazing people and I want everyone in this community to know how hard this chick works to give you all the best material, and still be humble as hell and rock as a friend, a mom, a wife and everything else. I am grateful for her and for all of you I have grown to know and love and appreciate so much. This new year is gonna knock your socks off!!!
I just wanted you all to hear that Ariel is no phony, she is the real deal. She has taken cuts out of her own pocket just to make a customer happy. I have seen it. She does it in life too, with people like me, friends
So, lets do a CHEERS to miss Ariel Andrews for being such a down ass chick and making sure that THIS chick did not fade into the darkness i could not be more humbled or gracious this time of year. HEAR HEAR!!!!

Being a single mum is one of the hardest things in the world (sorry, but it is!) emotionally, physically and financially draining. Without friends, where would we be? Some of mine got me through this tumultuous year, some of them I met here first!

You are lucky to have such a good friend in Ariel and you two make the greatest messy team here!! It's awesome that you have each other, you girls both rock!

Awesome to hear this, Sorry about the troubles of course, but that is what friendship is all about, I truly believe family does not have to be blood. That is how we do it in my group of friends. Couldn't think of a better time of year to tell this story as well.

Couldn't have said it any better. She is definitely the "fo weal deal." It's scary and sometimes sucks knowing my sister lives that far away and if anything shitty ever happens I know there's no way I could be there for her like Ariel, but because of Ariel I know she's got someone there for her when she's had some pretty dark times. This being a DOOZIE. It's beyond being a friend, you know? It's not her responsibility to be there all the time, nor does anyone expect that out of her, because she's got a hectic life just like the rest of us, but she still sticks her neck out for people, and not just her BFFs.

Plus she and Jayce are like 2 peas in a pod WAM brings people together! hehe. But that's super-awesome of her. Biz really fucked up & we all know where he's going one day (hope he brings plenty of sunblock and a fan! Hint: it's not Florida...) So sorry if we don't have a new girl in the "House of Mess" just yet, but that's what happens when you aren't grateful or you take advantage of peoples' niceness. Jayce shouldn't have to learn the hard way that you can't help everyone... But thankfully people like Ariel can remind you there are still good ones left

Also, when people get in the way of us taking care of our little dudes it makes me 1,000x more upset, you know? Little "gingerbread man" is like a 2nd son to me. That's how I know Biz is going to get his comeuppance one day. He knew what he was doing.

P.s. He did this for a long, LONG time... Jayce's just always wanting to help people. And, in her defense, it didn't start out this way.

This story of TRUE friendship in a season of love, kindness, and generosity warms my heart.

So sorry to hear of your troubles though, It's never easy to deal with a romantic break-up, much less one between long time platonic friends so I wish you patience and serenity in this tumultuous emotional time.

Kudos to Ariel for being awesome and kudos to her husband for hitting the lottery.

Friends who WAM together stay together. I'd buy all 3 of you a bakery's worth of pies but then again I wouldn't be able to be there for the fun...

I am totally in awe of everything posted here* in this thread. You guys out in "the heartland" really and truthfully seem too damn awesome for words sometimes. Proof positive that a bunch of people can be the absolute craziest SOB's around yet still have hearts of gold. You guys are really lucky to have each other. A total holiday feeling, for sure.
