Since I don't have the patience to tinker with AI for messy purposes, I spent the week testing Google ImageFX for wetlook. I came up with a prompt set that provides me the right amount of realism while also being fully customizable regarding ethnicity, hair, clothes and setting.
First and foremost, I found the best way to get realistic-looking wetlook pictures is to include "Polaroid picture" in the prompt. Some might not like these film aesthetics, but results look less fake and less AI imo. Since I don't like to gatekeep prompts from others, feel free to give the prompt template a go with your visions:

A *framing e.g. close-up, wide-angle etc.* polaroid picture of a *insert age*-old *insert ethnicity* woman *insert setting* at *insert time of day*. Her soggy hair cascading down the front of her *insert clothes*. Her gaze is alluring and confident, locking directly into the camera. Her skin is fair and natural, without makeup, giving her a fresh, effortless beauty. The full prompt I used for the bathtub picture: A full-body polaroid picture of a 23-year-old Vietnamese woman resting her head on the side of a bathtub at nighttime. She has soggy long bob hair that frames her face and wears a stunning wet red cocktail dress that clings to her figure. Her gaze is seductive and confident, locking directly into the camera. Her skin is fair and natural, without makeup, giving her a fresh, effortless beauty. The scene should evoke the allure of a Bond girl emerging from the ocean, with a cinematic, glamorous, and powerful vibe. The lighting should highlight the glistening water droplets on her skin dress and hair, creating a dramatic, high-fashion atmosphere. 35mm film

You have far more patience than I do in writing prompts but the results seem worth it. I especially like the third picture.
