Just after opinions in general regarding additional clothing and accessories such as a jacket, shoes, has a bag, glasses, jewellery etc.
As planning out a few Session ideas but also after your views really on what makes you tick for a session. Know we've seen ample variations of this before but areas like a jacket, accessories and so forth I rarely see much feedback on.
I absolutely hate handbags (US: purses) in WAM scenes. AllWam used to have them a lot, I think the idea was meant to be "trashed luxury", but they always end up blocking the view of the waist-to-thighs area, which is the part of the model's clothes I most want to see getting messy.
I don't like seeing purses either! It seems like such a strange concept that a woman would be into getting messy but insist on keeping her purse on her shoulder. I feel like no woman would do that, she would put the purse in a safe spot first. Glasses kind of drive me crazy, only because I wear glasses everyday and I can't imagine ruining them when I can't function without them. If everything else about a scene is working for me, I tell myself that those are cheap glasses bought just for this scene and no one is actually ruining their glasses.

Yep, exactly! I can see how it works if the first thing that happens is the handbag is filled with mess, and then tipped over the model's clothes, or even filled with mess and then left for her to pick up on her way out, once the rest of her is equally covered in gloop. But having them hanging off a shoulder blocking the view as her clothes get messy, is a scene-killer, on a par with sitting cross-legged and blocking the view.

We actually do what you're suggesting for real - Lucia gave us a collection of old glasses for people to wear in shoots, which we really need to start using. Generally if glasses have glass lenses they'll be fine getting messy and cleaned again afterwards, it's plastic lenses that scratch as soon as you breathe on them. I always insist on glass lenses, not coated plastic, when I get new glasses.

Thank you for reassuring me of that! I didn't even know that real glasses could be made of plastic! But my eyes are so bad that I have to pay extra to not have them be like an inch thick.

Most opticians here now default to plastic lenses made by Kodak with supposedly "scratch resistant" hard coating on - they're lighter than glass and can be made in more powerful ranges for less thickness and weight. BUT, however much they laud the "scratch resistant" the reality is they scratch like buggery if you don't take extreme care of them. I tend to clean my glasses by the time-honoured practice of "hawing" on them and then using a cotton t-shirt to clean/polish. Glass lenses last for years doing that, plastic scratches incredibly easily. So I always insist on glass, or I'll go elsewhere. So far it's always worked.

Ultimately I love costumes and different types of clothes when people get messy (shiny and glossy always seem fun).
But when the accessories are USED in a scene, that usually adds to it. Glasses give you a few options. I think it's really fun when somebody takes a person's glasses off, THEN pies them and puts them back on. You could do the same thing where they get pied, they take their glasses off and then get pied again.
Somebody brought up handbags.... yeah, that could be distracting... but imagine if a person had a handbag, they got pied (or somehow a bit messed) and while that person was in disbelief and trying to clean themselves, somebody helpfully offered to hold their handbag and gave them a paper towel. While the victim is scrubbing off, the handbag is filled with slime or cake batter... THEN when the victim asks for their handbag back, it's just dropped over their head.
I can give or take accessories as props- so handbags, feather duster for the maid, stethoscope on a nurse etc, also not bothered by shoes/jewelry at all. (foot/shoe fetish is an entire thing in its own right- not my thing but there is plenty of people who LOVE it).
For me its clothing/outfit that has a big impact (as well as colour and thickness of the gunge)- love a more interesting outfit instead of 'regular' clothing. Saucy and fancy dress outfits are brilliant, as are long formal dress (prom/bridal/bridesmaids- "princess" dresses) Swimsuits are great too. Gunge colour has to suit the scene, I can't really rationalise which colours work beyond brightly coloured and contrasting with the outfit. Gunge looks better when its thick- no runny stuff, has to be goopy and sticky for me. If its translucent gunge (such as MessySupplies' glass effect) it still looks fantastic when its thick and piled on. Or if its really stretchy and stringy.
Some interesting points from this, the handbags idea for example as had the thought of doing like a ladies day style scene as seen with a few people, a good one I enjoy is Candy's. But possibly getting a fascinator or hat in general too. Thought fill the bag & hat with mess & go accordingly.
For me shoes I have to wear in a session ideally always heels, even if they somehow avoid the mess I won't mind too much, feel they complete the outfit, sort of why I spoke of a jacket & bag too.
Cheers for those who have gotten involved though, hopefully see what others say in due course.
I remember an Alas Smith and Jones sketch from years ago, when Griff was having an argument with his partner, which escalated, into a tit for tat fight (non messy ) until he carefully tips a trifle into her handbag, she retrieves the car keys from it, peers onto the bag, and Griff slaps both sides of the bag, causing the trifle to cover her face, great scene Personally I like some accessories, things like chokers, jewellery, hair accessories etc, just because it shows an attention to detail, that the model is taking it seriously, Northern Honeysuckle is superb at going the extra mile, full make up, Suspender belt done up properly, stockings at the proper height etc
I'm really fascinated by outfits and clothing whilst Sploshing. I love how different materials make the whole session experience very different each and every time! Some clothing really holds onto ness and traps it against the body, where as other materials lets the mess escape and fills the pool beneath me!
I always do my make up and hair perfectly as it's just something I've always done as a fetish model, it helps me feel sexy and ready for anything! I love to wear sexy shoes when I Splosh, I adore high heels and again they just make me feel more sexual and aroused. I guess what I've discovered is I enjoy the dressing up and being pristine, makes it more exciting for me. I love the 'too good to get messy' style as I get a kick out of the humiliation and the fun elements that go with a huge Sploshing session and trashing a sexy outfit.
I really agree about handbags, I've thought about it a few times but unless it really forms part of the plot or storyline, I agree with others above, it just doesn't fit the aesthetic and seems to contrived for me. I like the idea of a punishment/humiliation scene where my beautiful leather bag is filled up with slop as I protest, then it's dumped over my head!! But not just holding one whilst getting messy.
I where sunglasses as part of my anonymity whilst completely clean at the start of my scenes but I love the effect it creates and it is just wonderful when you can slowly peel away glasses leaving clean skin below and then SPLAT!! That's one of my favourites! I did accessories for my Easter bunny scene and went all out with ears, cuffs, bow tie, even pinned a fluffy white tail to my underwear! Again, when it suits the look of the scene I think accessories should be done properly and really complete the look.
I hope that makes sense, it does in my head as I'm typing! Haha. A few pics for reference and context of what I'm trying to say.

Agree, it's a great post and it's a topic very central to my personal preferences in WAM. In my own productions as well as when looking at others work. I wouldn't tie it down to a certain detail - like earrings, heels, glasses etc. - being present or not, but rather a general appearance that needs to be styled and ready to go out or ready for business. Or like Brooke put it, almost pristine. That covers hair and makeup as well as clothing for me.
Now I know good enough achieving all of this is difficult enough, when your busy putting everything together in a shoot. But as I said, it's my preference and so I care for it
That's why nudity, bikinis or a an unstyled look just don't work for me in WAM.

That's actually what I do in many of my shoots. I have a collection of "fashion glasses" that are especially made for shootings with no optical glasses
Not an "accessory" as such but when I get messy I always tuck some tissues up the sleeve of my dress. When covered I love taking the tissues and wiping my eyes clean then tucking the messy tissues back up my sleeve.

This explains pretty much every preference I have for a girl getting down and dirty in a messy video!
Yes, in a number of ways. I like female business suits for example. A woman smartly dressed before getting messed will bump up a scene. A woman wearing a skirt and nylons and sitting cross-legged? Awesome. Nice shoes are a plus-- bonus if those shoes get messy. In general, I like seeing a woman dressed NOT to get messy, getting messy. Glasses are nice in that regard-- particularly if used as a prop. As someone up thread said, if a woman takes off her glasses, gets a nice pie, then puts them back on? Nice! I also like "uniforms"-- maid, waitress, etc. In a weird way, I find bikinis to be a little boring in a mess shoot. Sure, I like a nice body, but there are tons of those in real life and on the web. Same with nudity (i.e., a woman starting out nude).

Glad this thread has appealed to you. As enjoyed watching your content as inspiration as I do with others.
I can totally agree with wearing something that you would never expect to get messy in. I think because I crossdress and my style is formal & always in heels. The thrill of being covered in a smart suit or whatever you wear and adding a bit of roleplay like you did with the estate agent or if I'm going for an interview, the little details are what can make a difference for the session.

This about sums it up for me! The fancier the outfit, the more I will probably like it Tights and shoes tend to be the things I go for accessory wise.
I apparently am in the minority though on handbags. I don't mind them and sometimes find they add to the completeness (for lack of a better word) of an outfit. Recently did a wet shoot with Andi where she wore a handbag. That happened to be the exact same handbag she had on when she wore that dress out to dinner the night before, so to me, it just went with that outfit. We will probably incorporate handbags into some of our messy shoots if we feel it goes well with the outfit. One thing is for sure, there are many varied tastes when it comes to WAM!

Edit: To add to my earlier thought, heading out to a late dinner with Andi and she dressed nice. Now I associate this backpack with her yellow dress.

I like all those accessories. Except glasses. It turns me down.
Purses, it's nice, if it's a small and delicate purse(like those ones women uses with business suits or prom dresses). A big bag, actually, it's not fine for a WAM scene.
Shoes, must be high heels. Keeps the woman much more elegant.
And jackets... are the best. A woman in a blazer, a jacket or a suit simply would never like to get dirty. And that's what keeps the scene incredible and wonderful, turning me on: watching the woman all gorgeous, all mighty, feeling that nobody could touch her, and then, SPLAT! A pie in her face destroys it all. It's like we were stealing the fire from gods, and bringing it to the humans...
Whenever I get messy I have whatever I have on at the moment get messy. For me I'm not trying to look attractive so if my purse hides my thighs, I'm not too worried about it. For me a big one is shoes. I want a girl to get muddy in shoes, because if she's not wearing them any is she outside? Hahaha
Well, messing up something you would normally not get dirty is part of the turn-on. This accounts for wetlook too. So I choose my outfits the same way as for non-WAM situations. It should be complete, of a certain quality, including matching shoes, nice underwear, accessories (belts, scarf etc.), jewelry, maybe a jacket. Just what I would normally wear. Also use WAM as a chance to dress up, there weren't many possibilities in the recent years. Also try to have hair and makeup done nicely. The contrast between prim and proper to fully trashed is even better then. Oh, and sometimes I take a handbag with me (at least into the water), if it fits the scene.
In my case, clothing and accesories really impact my opinion on the scene, to me is a lot sexier to see a girl getting muddy wearing skirts and sandals, rather than mud or jeans. Clothing and model are two essential factors to me when choosing to buy a scene
i have found that nice lingerie sets? outfits well put together or even? easy going outfits (whatever the scene is) makes the scene for me!
my fave ? is clothes trashing and i have SOOOO FUCKING MANY NICE DRESSES, AND CLOTHES TO TRASH!!!
no one ever takes me up on it so? I keep them to try to sell but never have time.....lol!
but I love trashing gorgeous stuff after I have made sure to get it wet first...then messy.....then rip the FUCK OUT OF IT!!!
SO YEAH. i like outfits ....but i like to see them ripped and hanging off a body before they go nude. i like them trashed but NOT ALL the mess used on them....save some for the nude body as well
I think that accessories and details can greatly improve an outfit and make the contrast between the perfect and prim look and the total trash greater, increasing the humiliation of the victim. I really love denim jackets or leather bikers with the collar up, high heels (expecially loubs) , belts (expecially the Moschino or Gucci logo one), sunglasses, jewellery, hair ribbon or hats if you fill them with mess and wear it
For me, clothing does make a impact. I love watching women who are wearing leggings, secretary outfit, business suits, getting messy. Especially if the condiments are being poured down inside the clothes.
I like...costumes, smart dress OR come as you are. I like PVC and leather for some stuff and not for others. I'm not a fan of pure lingerie or bikini scenes because it's not enough clothed for a clothed scene and not naked enough for a naked scene (though messy the lingerie as an intermediate step between clothed and nude is cool).
I do like a good plunging neckline as blobs of pie dropping off the face and into the cleavage is hot, as is using boobage as a funnel for top filling.
I like a lot of wristwear, like festival bands and that stuff. Not essential but something I like.
I really like to see a wet handbag/purse(especially a full one) if it is willingly soaked. One of my favorites is Maxi's set where she gets wet in a white dress and a completely full purse. I've had luck in the past convincing a GF to get wet with an empty purse bought for the occasion, but it isn't the same as seeing someone spontaneously soak their purse.
