I have been casually browsing this site for years and although wam isn't so much a fetish of mine I definatly find it interesting and entertaining. Anyway this is my first post so if I've made a mess of it please excuse me.

I have a over active imagination and use it to think up games and scenarios usually of a sexual nature but it just occured to me that I could adapt many of these ideas for wam.

I understand it's your first post, so you might not get why people were critical of your ideas. Basically the proper thing to do would be to pay for a custom or sponsor a scene. It's a business, they need money like everyone else.

I would have had to spend thousands that I dont have to buy custom shoots however I figured that producers if using my ideas would make money by selling vids of my ideas an I just didn't want my ideas going to waste.

I honestly didn't think about a custom shoot before putting up the post. Now I have thought about it I simply wouldn't have the finances anyway tho I will definatly consider it for the future

If these ideas are so great and innovative, as you say they are, why not produce the videos yourself. You should easily recoup your initial start up costs with such groundbreaking plans. I hope he doesn't have any ideas for a umd like site, because this place wont stand a chance if he does.

His idea is terrible, to say the least. This notion that despite being a non-wammer, his ideas will revolutionize the industry to the extent that it would be profitable for any producer to throw free clips his way or, God forbid, actually produce whatever fucking idea he has, is beyond reason.

Clearly, he's a cheapskate wammer, which makes him a bold-faced liar, who must think he's special, because he thinks he can get shit for free and get producers to do his bidding for him. As if it doesn't cost a lot of money for them to make their videos, hire the models, pay for supplies, etc...

Look, dude, the idea is like 3% of the pie (pun intended). The logistics, booking, supply buying, tarp-rigging, marketing, etc etc is the 97%. No matter how good your ideas are they aren't going to warrant someone to spend all that time and money to offer you free material.

What you are looking for is a custom, plain and simple.

I understand that however I did mention originally that it would be nice to get vids pics etc but not that bothered if I do I was purely looking to share my ideas partly to see if they were any good and partly just to put them to use if they are

I have unlocked this thread. I think it is sad how people jumped all over this guy's shit and blasted him for being a freebie moocher when he said right in his OP and in the reply that he wasn't too worried about the free vids. I give away tons of bandwidth to our 14,000 unique visitors every day who download videos and pictures all day and never so much as make a single post, much less offer new ideas among a forum that complains that everything is repetitive.

I've often fantasized about having messy sex on a vibrating bed. I was going to actually post something about it, in Off Topic, how there is such vehement anger and vitriol and nastiness and "fuck off, noob/scammer/mooch"ness on this site. It all feels a little hate-y and entitled.

I tend to always abide by the "If I don't have anything constructive to add..." theory, and there were aspects of this gent's original post that make me simply move past it and say nothing, which is....kind of how i feel about the roughly 50-60% of posts on here I don't care about, be that due to the substance, or content, or it's a producer/model that just doesn't particularly strike my fancy, etc.

I will not pick apart or attack the original post or poster (others have done that, and opened up the possible issues very readily), there is a certain naivete to it (no offense meant, original poster), but.....I mean, shit. If one can't just throw out random thoughts/queries to this forum......?

I guess it's that I have a certain respect for authority/rules. Brilliant. We should have a big "wish list" somewhere that anybody can post to, and producers can go there for ideas. As all the content multiplies, we are moving to a world of specificity where wammers and other fetishists are searching more for their personal "holy grail," which is different for everyone. I've said before that WAM is almost always a means to achieve other fetishes (bondage, humiliation.... vibrating, etc), so let's hear the ideas!

I think a "Wish List" might have a lot of merit.

In the past the idea of crowdfunding scenes, I believe, was shot down. That's probably for the best, but I think something like that might also open doors for scenes that might otherwise not happen.

I don't have too much experience bad or otherwise with customs, I guess my tastes are just mainstream enough that I don't need to dictate the details to justify a custom, but from what I gather they are quite expensive. Not everyone has $150-300 to spend on a scene.

I wonder if producers might see more people doing customs if they offered a pay-back. Meaning, if someone produces a scene and they re-sell it and make a lot of money, at some point once the costs of the scene are covered, they split the proceeds with the person who paid for it.

This way, the producer wouldn't ever be out money and if they could be trusted (ie no chris), then people might be more willing to entertain the idea of customs knowing that if their idea was popular, they might get their money back, or a portion of it.

Oh and, my original stance on the OP here was harsh. While I don't take back the sentiment of anything I thought, I still think it, but it wasn't helpful in any way. Nobody was likely to fall for what I perceive as a con, and lose out on time and money throwing freebies to this guy or spending their time and resources giving him a free custom. I think a simple, "this is kind of silly bullshit" would have sufficed. I apologize, slightly less to deviant dan, but very much to my fellow U.M.D'ers and Messmaster.

I've been around the UMD since before it was called the UMD, and over the past couple of years I've noticed that the general temperament of people on this forum has moved more and more towards "being an asshole just because" territory. Even some of the producers on here seem to have taken a much more sarcastic/nasty tone to some of their posts in response to other products (the last couple of advertisements of Valentine Network videos by piesub come to mind), and frankly it's off-putting enough personally that I don't feel like purchasing those producers' videos any longer.

Again, just speaking personally and as a casual observer. I know there are still plenty of good people on the forum. Just seems like more and more jerks have infiltrated the forums in the past few years. The price of the UMD's popularity, I suppose. Never though I'd be longing for the days when all the good people had one common enemy, like Lovingway.

I'm not defending all of it, but if the assholishness has increased here over the years, perhaps it's because the stupid has increased as well.

A "wish list" certainly can't hurt but I think it would also run contrary to the current culture here, where some producers won't pick up a camera unless it's for a(n absurdly overpriced in some cases) custom. I can't blame them if the market will bear it and downloads are barely selling -- if I were a producer I would never, ever dress a model in an ugly sweater, because I'd know there's a guy out there who'd pay me $500 to do it -- but it's still one of those "it ain't like the old days" things.

Oh man, I'll have to disagree with you there. You've been around long enough to remember all the constant trolling and harassing that used to go on, like back in the mid 2000's. But now, go to any forum on UMD (or even elsewhere in the wam community) and I can almost guarantee you a more respectful experience than any other forums out there. They're just full of smug hatred, flames, and spam, even though they are LOADED with rules and warnings and crap before you even get to the first message. I'll take a few opinionated hot-heads over that any day.

The visitors and producers here, IMO, are unbelievably well-behaved, especially for it being a free fetish forum complete with the anonymity and all. We no longer really even need to ban people anymore. Plus, considering the ratio of actual on-topic content posted, I don't think it could really get any better. I'm always open to ideas to try and improve the experience tho.

I don't really think that's caused by a shift in culture, or greediness, if that's what you were implying. Models are exposing themselves for your sexual gratification--a movie made just for you, and they will charge for it, and they should. But I don't really know of a time when that was not the case?
