It will be a friendly bunch of folk, chatting about everything and anything over a pint and some grub.
Also, I'm hoping to be able to announce an exciting event that we're planning for next year, in February (keep the 19th clear in your diaries folks!!).
We will also be planning out dates for the splunches for 2017, so they're set in advance. We want to keep them fairly regular and frequent, as we like having a local community of like-minded sploshers - although everyone's welcome, wherever you live! We will be planning some Sunday and some weekday evening dates, so more people have a chance to come along
The London Splunch always was on a Thursday/ Saturday until it was hijacked.
The Birmingham Splunch will be in February again most probably on the last Saturday. Also looking at a rather special Reading Splunch this year either early April or end of June ish to avoid being to close to the Bristol Splunch.

Falkor: Yes, I'll bring this up with the others when we're discussing dates
Dave: The London Splunch wasn't hijacked! We were asked to organise one and we emailed you about it. The objective was to see if we could run it together, as we were aware you didn't have a lot of time and were no longer local. It was not my intention to take it over, but you never replied to the messages.
We tried to run it WITH you, but you've refused to engage in conversation about it at all. The last thing we wanted to do was push you out of the picture and I've said this to you more than once. I've repeatedly emailed and messaged you, asked you to be involved and emphatically expressed that we want to work with you, but you won't reply to me, you just make snide remarks on public posts. I didn't want to do this on a public forum, but since you won't respond to my messages I have no choice. Please grow up and private message me and stop with the bitter remarks. If you want to be involved in the London Splunches again you will be more than welcome!
I'm not going to this London meet; I can think of eleventeen things I'd rather do than fight through London's Christmas shoppers. That's why, even when we had a meet a month, there was NEVER one in December, ANYWHERE.
You have messaged twice and have responded both times. I am very much still local and picked up the splunch from Smiley. It has always been a Thursday evening in november for the past 10 or so years. You and CK were not around for many of those years. we did try a Saturday prior to smiley moving on but it was never as popular.
Dave: I'm not going to get into a full-on argument on here, but I will send you another message. The things you mention are exactly the things I would have loved to have had discussions with you about! If you did receive all my messages you will know that I have tried hard for to include you in the splunches, which was why I asked you to stop making the comments. Hopefully we can resolve this now.
I feel compelled to reply as I do not wish for my silence to suggest that some of the things being said on here are true when they are not.
For such a small nation, we have a great sploshing community here in the UK and it's important to recognise that it also exists outside of the UMD. I have spoken to many people who would like to meet up more often, in particular when I attend munches in the south east and in the capital. There was, and still is, capacity for more meet ups, it just required people to facilitate them. That's where @JnC and I come in. @Dave, I messaged you several times about arranging a date for a London meet up that was an extra one to the usual schedule and that didn't clash with any other splunches. You did not reply, but Mike did, so we went ahead with a date that suited us.
I applaud you for all your hard work in the sploshing community and your involvement with the London Splunches, especially for someone that doesn't live close to London nor are active on the London Fetish scene. I love your work and there are posts on places like Fetlife by me pointing people towards your Gunge and Video shop pages. So please don't think I'm some sort of mortal enemy.
You use the word 'hijack' which would suggest that you think that you own the London Splunch. Whereas I see it as a community event. If someone came up with ideas about where and when to hold meet ups and to run some fun icebreaker games or whatever, I would not only want them involved in the organising but would be willing for them to take the lead. "By the community, for the community."
I really glad to hear about a possible Reading Splunch, I'm semi-regular at the Reading Munches and know a number of people that would be interested in coming along. And likewise I would like to attend, with your permission.
@Dave, you have my email address and my phone number, you are welcome to contact me and I'm happy to meet up in person if you wish.
Felicity and I will be attending this one, have just booked the train tickets, though we may only stay for a couple of hours as we also want to see the Christmas lights of Oxford Street, and the famous Piccadillly Circus lights before they get turned off for most of next year. Morning train off Leeds City, that's going to be one crack of dawn start from the Hall, Rosemary will not be impressed having to get the carriage horses out at that unholy hour of the morning, not to mention having to pick us up at midnight upon our return. I'll have to make sure there's a nice hot gunge bath for her at some point to make up for it.
Oooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!! Love a bit of wam organizing drama!
Ha! But seriously, wish I could attend, alas im on house arrest at my sisters babysitting and saving money for trip home to the USA. I hope yall have a fabulous time and a good turn out! Messy hugs and kisses to all and to all a good night! (That's a Christmas reference.. Because it's the holiday season and shit.)
Goodness me there's a lot of bah-humbuggery about at the moment
We made it up from Surrey, via Waterloo, the northern and central lines with no problems at all.
There are a few of us here so far. If anyone else is planning on joining us, we're sat opposite the bar, near the booths, just before our usual back area bit
Merry Christmas all, I hope you all have lovely plans xx
I was really stoked (haha that's apt) that a few people travelled so far to be there. It was fab catching up with people we now consider to be firm friends and to meet some new faces too!
I had to make a slightly early exit, due to starting work at 5am this morning (and therefore being awake at 4 ), so I apologise to anyone who arrived after I left (I believe there were one or two).
I'm not sure when the next one will be as yet, I would love to announce some dates, but there are some more discussions to be had, after which, hopefully, there will be a plan for 2017
So gutted we couldn't go - been ill for 6 weeks now on and off. Hoping this is my entire quota of misfortune now and looking forward to some 2017 splunches
Felicity and I had a lovely day, and managed to pack loads in including Buckingham Palace, Whitehall, Parliament, the South Bank, then the pub for a few hours, then the Christmas lights of Regent Street, Piccadilly Circus, the edge of theatreland and Leicester Square, before heading back to the wilds of Yorkshire. A most excellent day out, and cracking good service on the trains too. And it was lovely to see everyone who turned up. So thanks again for arranging it.
Regarding the various debates, my own take is that it's good to be accessible and help persuade people who may be interested but not have tried it that we're all a friendly and accessible bunch, both for the overall good of our scene, and on a more business oriented POV, because that way we'll all sell more product, be it finished videos, or gunge supplies, or personal services. Plus crossing over with other fetish groups might open up both them to sploshing, and "us" to potentially more venues and outlets. A few days ago I received an invitation to a new year's eve fetish party in a specialist venue which includes, and is advertising, a sploshing room, though sadly due to prior plans I won't be able to make that one. But knowledge of sploshing as an activity is clearly spreading into the wider kink / fetish world, which has to be a good thing, I think?
