"The jury's verdict delivers accountability for Derek Chauvin, but not justice for George Floyd. Real justice for him and too many others can only happen when we build a nation that fundamentally respects the human dignity of every person," Sanders said in a tweet.
"The trauma and tragedy of George Floyd's murder must never leave us. It was a manifestation of a system that callously devalues the lives of Black people," Sanders added. "Our struggle now is about justice--not justice on paper, but real justice in which all Americans live their lives free of oppression. We must boldly root out the cancer of systemic racism and police violence against people of color."

Yeah, the Tucker Carlson White Power Hour... shameful.
I agree with Bernie. Institutionalized, systematic racism will be another ugly fight, hopefully not as bad as the last one in 1861. None of us have justice as long as some of us don't. We are Americans first and it just sickens me to see the massive difference between how whites are treated when compared to everyone else.
What I see is 40% of white people desperately hanging on to their 400 year old white privilege. We are all in this one.
Treat others as you wish to be treated. Life is short.
From the UK, there is a very clear impression that the US now at least has a civilized government; although your President will never go fast enough for everyone, at least he is looking the right way.

Correction, we have more civilized members than we had a year ago. We still have a lot of selfish, cruel, hateful bigots in power. Ones pushing conspiracy theories to their idiotic followers, inciting violence and hatred.
