I've been wanting to do this for a while and with all the serious posts lately, here is something a little light. We all have pet names for our pets and here's a list of ours. We made Pepper one of our family just over two years ago, she is a goofball and just the prettiest little girl with the best little heart in the world! Our life sort of revolves around her yet it's not enough for our spoiled little puppy so we will be getting her a little sister this Spring which will really fill this house and property with tons of puppyness!
My 5-year-old cat came with the name Parker when I adopted her 4 years ago. A friend added Rose to her name to make it more feminine. I call her "Kitty" or "Meow-Meow" as pet names.

All our dogs were little Shih Tzus though there were actually all mutts. I used to have a dog called Carpenter, because he did odd jobs around the house ... sorry, could not resist the old joke.
Seriously, we named all our cats and dogs over the years with names ending in "eee"....so we had Benny, Marcie, Dookie, Katy, Lucy, Tabby, etc.
To quote the immortal Benny Hill"
"Please don't blame my doggie, t's not his fault at all Someone left a wet umbrella standing in the hall"
This is Merrin. He's a crazy talky spastic little shit, but I love him.
Nick names...Kitty. Mr. Kitty. Fuckiswrongwichu. "Merrin", but in a demonic voice because he's named after the priest Max Von Sydow played in The Exorcist... MEEEEEERRRIN!!!
This is Tasha! My ex found her in her garden in poor condition after being in many fights and mistreated including a broken leg at some point. Not sure of her age exactly but I've had her 9+ years and now lives the life of luxury. As you can see she like to bring me presents. As for names it's usually Tash Cat.
This is Buddy. He showed up on the property yesterday. Neighbors say he has been running for many, many miles through the woods and down roads between small towns for a week now. We took the little guy in. He's about 2 years old, very well behaved and exceptionally trained and just a joy to have around, so we are fostering him until we can find either his home or a good home. He is so damned sweet! Good with all animals so he's been around them, prolly used as a cattle dog a hundred miles from here. He is very, very homesick the poor pupper!
What a lovely post! Years ago, we got a rescue dog. She was injured, apparently after being abandoned by being thrown from a car. She recovered. I called her, "Bing Bong!" because she barked when the doorbell went! We walked together for miles through the woods. Later, a time came when she could longer raise her hind legs enough to move. My heart is still broken. Peter
