Thanksgiving was a sad one this year at SlapstickStuff, as I had to say goodbye to Presley, perhaps the sweetest dog who ever lived. Presley had just turned 20 (!!) so she had a long and amazing life. I was lucky to have her as my constant companion for the last 13 years of that run.
Presley was always a hit with our models, especially fellow dog lover Lindsay, who even posted about her on IG during one of our older shoots. Presley also LOVED to "check in" on the shoots, as there was always some yummy slime, whipped cream, or pie crust lying around unattended. More times than I can count, I wound up finding green-tinged hair under her chin following a good shoot.
While almost none of you met Presley in person, longtime customers will undoubtably recognize her from numerous BTS footage.... especially at the end of every scene, when she'd be invariably standing in the doorway, blocking the model's exit to the shower. I figured she'd deserved a little "tribute" of sorts on here.... After all, she's technically the female who's appeared in more SlapstickStuff scenes than anyone....
Hug your dog a little tighter for me tonight, and enjoy a few pics and video clips of some of Presley's "on-camera" greatest hits.
Hopefully it was a peaceful death. I'm assuming there's a big dog park in the sky. Hope Lindsay is doing good with her fitness stuff........ for any one thinking about getting a dog : PLEASE research and use those pesky selector quizzes. There are dogs that need a lot of human interaction and some dogs that are going to be difficult. So many people get a dog then either return it or ditch it. Also remember to have your pets spayed or neutered to help control the pet population.......
Absolutely, and don't support breeders or puppy mills. There's SO many amazing rescue dogs out there. (Presley was abandoned on the side of the road, believe it or not.) Go to the shelters (when it's safe again) and find a dog that's perfect for you.
Oh, you'll be happy to know that Lindsay is still modeling, still crushing the fitness, and isn't aging at all. (She's gotten a bit "thicker" for those who like strong legs and bigger bootys and boobs!) You might be seeing her return to SS sooner rather than later.......
Hey man, I'm really sorry about your friend. Twenty years...WOW!!! What a life. I'm sure with you it was a happy one. I'll have you know, I laughed out loud when I watched your tribute video; at the part where Presley takes the chunk of crust and runs off. "yoink!"
I, too, loved the Tribute Video! What a sweet lil' character
I think i remember her from maybe one other post, but did not really realize she was your partner in crime for so long a time! Rich, I'm so sorry - heartbreaking, especially this time of year! I do hope she went peacefully.
My heart goes out to you, man. Thanks for letting us know and again, my condolences for the little Presley-sized hole in your life...
As a fellow dog lover, very sorry to hear this, Rich. My wife and I are owned by two fuzzbutts ourselves and I'm dreading the day my older boy goes to the rainbow bridge. He's nearly twelve. Presley looks like she was a wonderful friend. Hang in there.
OMG I am so sorry, dogs are way better than people. Sorry for your loss. My Marv has been around shoots too, models love him. Man the stuff he has seen. They are the best companions ever....
I'm sorry to hear this Rich. It's never easy to lose a pet. Dogs are the best and it's so hard when you become so attached to them. She definitely lived a long full life and was clearly loved as you gave her a good home!
Rich, Presley lived until 20, the dog had a varied and fulfilling life with you. You did it right. In return, Presley repaid you with her kindness. It shows in the vids. #nuffsaid Presley will never leave. She will remain in your heart. Always.
Aw Rich, I'm so sorry to hear this news about Presley. She had a good long life and after watching your tribute videos, I'd bet money she was happy to have you as her human for so long. What a cute little sweet face she had!
Bless her heart (and yours), it's absolutely devastating to lose a pet. I'll definitely spoil my little beasties with some extra attention today in honor of Presley.
I said goodbye to one of my dogs last week too. As I age and lose yet another dog, I expect it to get easier, but it never does. Remember that the exquisite agony of letting go is testament to your love for and bond with your pet.Twenty years! Congratulations on an amazing time together.

That last part is amazing news that I never thought we'd see again. I am so selfishly happy right now.
Sorry to hear about your baby girl. I've gone through that with two dogs already and my little buddy Rocco is about to go soon. I'm crying typing this. It's tough as hell every time. But worth it every time.
