All summer long, it called to him, and at first he resisted. But when the mud has chosen someone, the mud will not let go and the call becomes an itch, and then becomes a desire, and finally becomes an unbearable need. For eventually, the mud takes what it wants and there is no escape. At first his visits to the mud are playful and casual, but as the summer goes on, the visits become more urgent. The mud seeps deep into his subconscious and slowly begins to change him. The other pasttimes he enjoys, become less and less important, while the urgency to return to his warm and embracing mud increases. Finally, he abandons all his hesitancy and fully and completely gives himself over to the mud. The mud receives it's conquest and pulls him deeper into it's depths, engulfing his being. The conversion is complete. He happily accepts his final descent into the mud and sinks into what he was meant to become... a filthy, slithering, twisting, humping Mud Creature.
