What we'd like to know this month is....What's your favorite pie filling color?
We decided to go with 'color' over 'substance' to make things a bit easier.
Example, if you like chocolate pudding then pick 'brown.' If you like berries, then pick the color of your corresponding berry. If you like custard or lemon, then pick 'yellow.'
For me, it depends on the models hair color and what colors they may already have on their face from previous pies. I like color contrasts, so dark haired models hit with lighter colored pie fillings or light haired models hit with darker pie fillings.

Possible to vote for every color? Wonder what it would look like mixed
No white? Thats my favorite because its traditional and it also shows up against most clothing and most shades of skin. If not white, then I like a variety in the same shoot.
I'll be honest, I'm not huge into different-colored pie filling (aside from chocolate), but I do like different-colored pies! Like when the cream itself is dyed different colors.
It depends though... sometimes I just like to see the amount of white cream build up over time into one massive, monochromatic blob, but there are instances where mixing different colors helps put into perspective just how many pies the person is getting hit with. Plus the color blending can look really cool by the end!
All this cake, there must be a princess somewhere.
For me I picked green for general but I'm more for depending on models hair color and what they are wearing. If they are wearing red then no red pies etc.
It's a fair question, but it's hard as, for me it's not just about the color as much as it's about the texture/substances.
I voted "Brown" in the poll as directed, because I like the look of Chocolate Pudding and Cool Whip (Basic). but there's something about the sheen of the Pudding especially in contrast when mixed with Vanilla Pudding or other flavors... It's texture, viscosity, and how it smears...
and a Brown Colored Buttercream Frosting just wouldn't be the same.
Same with "Red" - I think of actual Fruit and Syrup as opposed to just a "Red dyed" Frosting.
Guess I'm picky with pies lol..
Has anyone tried baking a few pies in the oven just to crisp up and letting them cool before throwing? Any difference to how they throw, explode/spread on impact?
I chose yellow because it is the color of my two favorite flavors for projectile pies; banana cream and coconut cream. (Admittedly coconut cream is only a very pale yellow.)
I'd like to change my answer from brown to red because I completely forgot about how fun pies with cherry flavored filling were and how well the color contrasted with everything! Pretty sure the filling came from US Foods for anyone curious, it was in bulk.
imo part of this depends on how the pie is being delivered. For me personally, I like pastels (green, pink, blue, yellow) that are splatted but not smeared, whereas I'm totally into seeing a girl smeared with a chocolate-syrup- or cherry-topping-filled pie.
Of course, white cream works no matter the delivery
I had to think about this. Normally we use either colored frosting Chega style or shaving cream for quickies, but I chose yellow because there's still something about the words "banana cream pie" that get me going. But like a few others have said, that's more for one-off pie hits. If there's going to be a pile of mess anyway then the colors don't matter much. I'd say once you get past two or three colors that normally play well together, it's all a wash.

I love colored pies, I love white pies with different fillings. I love also those pies in your picture!! Decorated pies are always amazing... and I lke to see the pie before the pie-in-the-face itself.
But the thing I love from your videos is they are ALL diferent kind of pies!!
My favorite though is the blueberry one, specially when you can see the blueberries.
I'm a fan of when a chocolate pie gets followed up with a cool whip or whipped cream pie, or when the pie itself has a mix, so there's a nice blend of brown and white on the model's face.
Well, actually, if you add all the votes for different colors into the "filling lovers" group, the result is 128, and the ones who prefer no filling are 23, so, 85% of the people do prefer fillings, 15% don't. It's not that up

Did those respondents misinterpret the question?
I thought it was was rye little joke.
Perhaps they took it to mean plain cream? Or they really like the sight of a dry crust. At least put some butter on it!
I thought so too! I was going to make a crack about throwing empty pie tins around, but nothing I came up with was clever enough and I worried it would sail over people's heads (like an empty pie tin!)
