In lieu of a promo of a scene today, I wanted to just write and say thanks to everyone for the support that has led to me having both top store and top download on the same day. It's hugely humbling, and it happens so rarely, it means a huge amount.
My father passed away last week and it hit me quite hard. He was already in his 80s when I dropped the bombshell that I was going to be doing this for a living, and he couldn't have been more supportive or encouraging. He pursued his own self-employed creative pathway when he was about the same age as I was when I started, and gave me encouragement and enthusiastic backing right to the end, for which I will always be grateful. I don't think every 80-something father would have reacted that way.
I am dedicating the top store / top download honour to him, today. R.I.P Daddy
It's also worth calling out the really kind messages I have had from UMDers who knew...and also worth noting that I received a lovely Sympathy card from one of my models. This really is a wonderful community.

Thank you for opening up to us. I am very sorry for your loss. I also wanted to add.... DANG! What a cool dad to be told in his 80's that you do this, and have him support you and all your amazing madness!
I lost my dad when I was 19 and he was 55. Today at 55 myself, I can only imagine what it would have been like to still have him around today. He sounds like a great dad and a solid man who loved you very much. May he be in a peaceful place now, may you see him again in time, and my sympathies for your loss.
Sad to say that I know what you are going through!! I lost my dad when I was in my early 20's similar to Jay. I'm now in my early 50's and nearly 30 years since (his) passing. I know no words can change your feelings towards your father. If anything, as this does make it easier to get through is by posting, chatting and talking no matter how you feel. Its important for everyone to know how you are coping. So keep posting, texting, talking and messaging.
So sorry for your loss Rev, your Dad sounds like he was really amazing. Looks like you have a lot of support here too which is great and i'm sure your models will support you in this difficult time, keep making your Dad proud with doing what you love doing.
Thanks so much for all these amazing, kind messages which mean a huge amount.
Your messages have been so thoughtful, and are appreciated more than you could know.
It meant the world to me that he supported and encouraged me in this. I can tell you something else..he would have loved the messages saying how cool he was for being so supportive around this. It would have made his day .
Again, this thread has just been almost overwhelming with the amount of kind messages. I can't thank you all personally, but I have read and appreciated and been supported by each and every one.
Thank you all so much for taking the time..it has felt like a really fitting tribute to him and I can't thank you all enough
