This is specifically why I don't go mudding in random mudpits. The catabolic side of nature is terrifying. Who the fuck knows what sort of bacteria are festering in this or that pit.

Ugh, been there. Not for the same reason, but I got an inner ear infection in my left ear several years back and the vertigo was so bad that I basically felt like I was going to projectile-vomit every time I stood up. Only other time I've felt that nauseous was when I had kidney stones. Feel better, hon!

I LOVE the RUSH i get when going to the mud pit....like "what kind of mud is gonna be here!!" i mean, i fucking love it.. but i GOTTA BE MORE CAREFUL WITH MYSELF!! its fucking STUPID. (once you all see what videos i release that caused this problem and then i filmed more after that....lol....bc i didnt think much of it...it wasnt too bad....) thing is, i was HAVING A BLAST!! i looooooove feeling EVERYTHING. in EVERY place of my body..but....lesson learned!! ear holes are off limits!! gonna have to do something about wamming with contacts too. i cant fucking see for SHIT! maybe take them out immediately after or something. let them soak and only wear glasses for a few days after. i dont know but i wanna see when im wamming!

I guess at least one of us is going to try and get a WAM related injury so he can go to the hospital and try to get a cute nurse into WAM by showing her WAM stuff.......well those nurses get really bored at times so it shouldn't take much to entertain them.

I don't want you to change anything, (It's precisely what I love about you so much) just think of yourself a little more. Maybe be a tad less reckless. You've beaten yourself up (literally) doing this over the years. I think the glasses idea is a good one. You're probably going to be stuck without contacts for awhile if you don't get your sub renewed, so don't destroy the ones you got.

Jayce, don't know if you have tried this yet or not, but you might give a shot at laying on your side with the clogged ear up and putting in about 4-5 drops of warm water with an ear dropper, then rolling over to point that ear down and try the valsalva method to see if you can maybe dislodge the mud and get it to pop down and work its way out. I learned about it in my aerospace physiology class during my undergrad and it works pretty well when opening your ears in flight, so maybe it might help with this, too? Also, once you finally get it out, the same thing but with a little hydrogen peroxide may help with clearing up the infection as well.

I guess I should get some earplugs for next summer's mudding, even if that sense of just going for it and letting the mud go everywhere is a fun thing. I was lucky this year, played in tidal mud quite a few times without any problems, but I know another guy who's had ear issues from regular mudding. I swim at the pool and sauna a couple of times a week, and I felt like that might have helped my ears to clear themselves. But I certainly don't fancy explaining to my doctor if I get an ear infection or blockage!
