Yayyy the winners and results are out!!

I cannot believe I was runner up for Rising Star too! I have only been making messy content for just on a year and I have been a UMD member for just over 8 months.

I am 100000% attending next year nothing is stopping me! I would have cried yesterday accepting my 2 awards honestly it means so much to me. The talent on display for all to see yesterday was nothing short of amazing.

I am honoured to be a part of this community and share it with so many damn superstars!

Congratulations to the winners and also to everyone else. We are all winners in my eyes!

I'm amazed and so grateful and pretty speechless on my wins! - those were categories I didn't even nominate myself for (I put forward the title one, mrs santa gets muddy and the waterfall wetlook one)

also I stand by my acceptance speech video - I will work very hard to be worthy of the lifetime one one day, 3000 years old and just stretched skin in a frame with my brain in a jar like Cassandra on Dr who, still encouraging people to get messy (and I wish no one had pulled out of this category as it was the person I voted for and I'm sure they would have got it and well deserved too!)

Every nominee is top notch and watching the stream was amazing, Penny, the team and all the presenters did a wonderful job. Thanks so much for all the fun resulting from your hard work

When I got told you won the best cake sitting, I honestly was not surprised. You're absolutely amazing and it was an honour to announce it at the event.

Congratulations to every single one of the winners. Some really worthy winners there..it's so lovely to see such amazing talent across our industry and some true legends being honoured.

I just want to apologise. I did briefly go into a bit of low confidence, imposter syndrome mode when I saw I hadn't been successful in any category (I have form on this...last Messtival when I won awards, I felt I wasn't worthy of them!). Anyway, briefly I just felt a total failure, and useless as a producer and person at that moment. Not rational at all but then who among us is, and it was tied up with a lot of other stuff going on in my life. I'd like to apologise to those who I spoke with about this, and thank them for 'listening' as it just helped to share how I was feeling and work through it, which I did very quickly (and then felt ashamed of how I had felt).

After all if it's good enough for my fellow countryman, the great Peter O'Toole (8 Oscar noms and no win) then it's good enough for me. And when you look at the calibre of every single worthy winner, I feel ashamed for how it made me feel initially. It's an honour to even be nominated with these talents, and to actually come second in the Best Story Plot category and Best Food Fight categories is amazing. So thanks so much to everyone who nominated me and / or voted for me and sorry for being a twatwaffle. Your love and support keeps me going.

But the main point of this to to just Congratulate each and every worthy winner, and to thank Penny, her whole amazing team for all their hard work on this amazing event and for putting up with me. Roll on 2023.

Personally I think Keke's Farm Mess definitely deserved to win something for her dedication and acting, but I suppose that makes me a typical Mr Complainey-pants non-voter

Really grateful to have been a part of this, thanks Penny for your consideration! I know you already explained that this had to be put on last second, but I'm hoping that next year we get at least 6 mos to prepare. I would have loved to have had more time to get involved in this, I was told only a few days before voting ended that I was nominated and I've just been so busy lately, I barely had time to participate. Not to mention that I would LOVE to have any excuse to travel to the UK!!! So I hope that you keep putting on this event and we can have more time to let more people participate and join in! That being said, I think this was awesome and fun, thank you for doing this Penny! I loved being a presenter, and I love how this is bringing the community together

I would Like to thank everyone for running a wonderful event. It was so nice to see people that i had not seen in a while. I would also like to thank the people who looked out for me and made sure i was safe on my way home.

Wow, what an event, what a day! That was absolutely fabulous and the most amazing fun, and the sheer effort the organisers put into all it was amazing, huge thanks to Penny and team for doing it, and to that poor hard working lass who slaved away cleaning the stage after all the pieings - she deserved an award herself! And to Ginger Johnson for facilitating the whole thing. The venue was gorgeous too.

And we actually won an award, and against some amazing competition! Maude brought home the "Best Outdoor Scene" award for Saturation Hall with her awesome performance in the mud in PVC cycling shorts and bra top on the hottest day of last summer. The award now has pride of place in the Great Hall and Maude will be getting a very good meal on the house (rather than, as is traditional, on herself ) at some point.

In addition we were also nominated for "Best Cake Sit", with Friday really grinding a uniform skirt into a spectacular mess with a tripple-sit, and "Best Food Fight", with Honeysuckle and Miss Abigail "pieing the hell out of each other" as Miss Abigail herself puts it in the clip.

I was able to see some of it via the livestream, and it looked like a super fun time was had. I'll have to check out the full version on OF so I can see all the films and awards.

It was an honor just to be nominated for so many things, especially since I'm not only new to UMD but also creating and publishing content so this whole thing has been a learning process. I'm just happy my pleasure has translated to other people's pleasure.

I STILL haven't gotten to see it! Or know the winners or anything! hopefully I can get it going this weekend I have a shoot day tomorrow so hopefully after that!
