What do you think the ratio is for people who are into WAM? Like 1 out of 100? 1 out of 500? 1 out of 1,000? More? Less?
Just interesting to think about. I'd think it's gotta be like 1 out of 10,000. I dunno though. I mean I'd think someone I've run across in my life would be into this fetish and have called me out on my pics and said something about it to me by now, whether it be someone I know on-line, someone who works at my job, some random person in a store, restaurant, convention, amusement park, etc... Maybe they're just being quiet about it? Or maybe it really is that rare of a fetish?
Thoughts?
I got a high school reunion coming up in a few months, wonder if someone will be like "HEY GUNGEDHAIRFAN!" when they see me...
I saw an estimate once that there are probably something like 50,000 wammers between the US and UK. My gut says that's probably about right. So with a US + UK adult population of ~300 million, that's about 1 in every 6,000 adults.
Like if one of my coworkers was on here posting pictures of himself jerking off in a puddle of custard I'd never see it because my preference is set to 'female'. If a female coworker was on here like pieing herself. Probably wouldn't see.
Like your entire class could be into like the dildo stuff or that piefight messygirl is having and they'd never know about your gunged hair.
I'd say there's probably more than you think but still pretty niche. I've never come across anyone in life who is in to it but then you don't know what goes on behind closed doors.
It's funny, considering it's so niche the potential for others to get into it are all around. Most people probably grew up with TV shows that had messy forfeits, and everyday there's seems to be another pie or cake smash on TikTok or YouTube. And I know most of these are done for attention and the majority of people are probably grossed out and really sense the humiliation of a messy forfeit but just saying the potential for people to be triggered into wam is quite prominent.
I'd also say most couples have gone to bed with a can of cream or jar of Nutella for a bit of fun but it never developed past that evening into a proper kink.
So to us that do dive into this world to the point where we're turned on by getting completely covered or watching someone get covered is pretty niche, but what a wonderful niche it is.
It's popular enough to warrant a ahitty Cosmo article. It's probably more than we think. Foodplay has always been a thing; some people just still have their training wheels on.
I feel like there's probably a ton of people that are into it but just don't know it. Wouldn't be surprised if some of the people who do trash the dress have a subconscious thing for it.
There's also probably a sub sect of people like me where they like to watch people getting wammed but have absolutely zero desire to do it themselves.
There's many different degrees of WAM positive people and many niches and sub niches.
But at the bottom of the spectrum, there's probably a large number of people that find a pretty girl wearing a wet white t-shirt very sexy, or if their partner would join them in the shower wearing their clothes would be very turned on by the spontaneity and sexyness of the moment. So that group as got to be very large.. like 1 on 3.. 1 on 2..??
Then another large unassumed group would be anything playing around mud.. mud runs.. Mudding with an ATV.. getting muddy in general planned or on accident. Probably lots of people find it sexy but wont pursue that further.. finding a muddy girl sexy would also be a large number.. 1 on 10 maybe??
How many if they happen to witness 2 girls mud wrestling would be absolutely trilled and entertained and find that absolutely sexy.. another large number.. 1 on 5 maybe??
But then how many of those wam positive people would spend their evening searching for that fix.. that number probably shrinks drastically and splits in the many niches and sub niches that's probably where we end up in the range of numbers above like 1 on 6000-10000s?? Maybe spread thinner then that..

That first paragraph (specifically the shower) was how my girlfriend found out about me being into Wam. We came back from a happy hour, and she was juuust tipsy enough that she thought it would be hilarious if she got into the shower fully clothed. It just happened to work out that she had gotten home from work and thrown a maxi dress on before we went out. What shocked her was when I got in the shower, realized the dress was plastered to her, and was almost immediately rock hard.
Basically, take a wet t shirt for me and make it a floor length cotton dress instead.

This is exactly what I was going to mention. Many years ago I was present at an event where ordinary people, chosen in advance, would wade around a giant pool of jello to look for numbered objects at the bottom which would translate into gift cards. Two young ladies were standing nearby, and one said, 'yuck' while the other did an 'oooohh' sound with a smile on her face. Most people had mild amusement but nothing more. Nobody in the jello seemed to be turned on in any way, just working to get their gift coupon and either looking grossed out, amused, or with blank expressions.
So my point to all this is that some will find it an attractive or sensual situation to be in or witness, while most just won't. As for those wanting to label it WAM and search online, I think that is a far smaller number yet.
Some people would feel equally turned on if their partner slid a dry dildo over their bodies, or one dipped in chocolate or whipped cream. The turn on comes from the physical contact and attention, with the exception of that very tiny slice of the population who would find the addition of chocolate or whipped cream extra arousing.
Extremely niche but also probably not as rare as we think. I think a number of people might be "into" this sort of thing without distinguishing/recognizing it or ever knowing there's a porn genre for it. But it is definitely still one of the more "hidden" fetishes, which frankly I'm not upset about. Considering how wacky and unsubtle WAM/sploshing is, that's quite amazing, really.
I guess it also depends on how the people themselves see it I've had a couple of relationships where whippedbcream/trifle was involved, but in an earlier conversation, non sexual, brought up by her as she had seen someone surprised pied on TV, she said she would break the arm of anyone who tried to do it to her, yet loved trifle being rubbed on her body and locked off. I would suggest a lot of people have done whipped cream or other desserts, but wouldn't class themselves as warmers. Weirdly, I also had a conversation with someone who is a porn star, again, non sexual, she brought it up as a dream she wants to fulfill, of being smothered in custard pies, doing the same to someone else, and squirtingba water syphon in someone's face, non sexual, just loves slapstick comedy.
I think it is very common. So many celebrities are obviously secret wammers, it's just blatant. My guess is it's at the least as common as left handed people, which is 1 in 10.
I believe it is very common, if you look at so many celebrities they do not even hide it, its super obivious. It is at least as common as left handed people and 1 out of 10 people are left handed. So it's 1 out of 9 which is about 20% of the population.

I don't think many celebs are necessarily into it a sexual fetish. I mean, it's comedy to most people. Assuming that public figures who embrace getting messy must be wammers strikes me as projection.

Yeah, same here. I had a friend in college who stated on several occasions that she enjoyed food fights and other forms of getting messy. I highly doubt that it was arousing for her, more likely that she just enjoyed being silly and cutting loose. Now, would someone like that be compatible with a wammer? All things being equal, sure! "Hey, that thing you like to do for fun? It gets me really horny - let's do it and then have mind-blowing sex." (Unfortunately I never had the opportunity to test this theory with that particular person)
So while the number of genuine wammers (people actually aroused by mess) might be low, the number of potential complimentary partners for wammers (enjoys getting messy and willing to do with a sex partner) might be much higher.

I'm pretty sure Mariah Carey is either a secret wammer who googles "jacuzzis near me" every time she puts an evening gown on, or she's just so far removed from reality that she doesn't think anything of it.
My first two gfs were into wam they didn't know what it was called but were into getting messy/ hooking up. I had one friend w benefits who was into getting her body painted so I asked about wam she indulged once but not sure she liked getting slimed. She did seem to like the pies in the game we played. But other two gf la and my now wife would do it but didn't love it. And one of two other friends w benefits tired it once but wasn't feeling it at all. I think a persons used to work w was into it and may have been on here back n the day cause she really looked excited when I carried a huge cake into work and she walked up and pretended to push it up into my face after asking if I needed a hand. But obviously wasn't gonna ask someone at work hey by chance have I seen u on a fetish website? Majority of my other friends who know think this is the weirdest shit. Minus maybe a few who thought it seemed fun

The only celeb I think is likely to have a wam fetish is Sarah Shahi. She's expressed some stuff makes you really wonder about her. I do think one could also convince katy Perry and lady Gaga to get pied and slimed in a sexual manner. Those two seem a lil wam curious
Its so hard to know, isn't it? But given the popularity of various "near-WAM" activities, from wet T shirt competitions, through "gunge the teacher" events, clowns at circuses, "blackening" of brides, "trash the dress", to mud runs and so on, I think it's fair to assume that a significant minority of the population find that WAM does something to them. Whether that something is necessarily sexual is impossible to tell, but it's clearly a positive experience of some sort. Undoubtedly not all of this minority go on to actually work WAM into their sex life, but who knows how many might occasionally fantasise about it? I've no idea what the actual number might be, but I'd be surprised if it's not at least at the level of one in tens, not one in thousands.

What has Sarah Shahi said? I don't know her but now I'm curious lol
As for the other two, I agree they'd be willing to try sexual WAM. But I think it's less for the WAM and more for the general sexual curiosity and for those two especially exhibitionism. It's obvious both of them have a huge exhibitionism thing, but I imagine that's pretty common for celebrities, pop singers especially, and actually helps them succeed. A lot of women will also try things to be sexually adventurous and that's the thing that's exciting, not the fetish itself. I've gotten my sister and another female friend to try WAM and both had fun with it but it wasn't the WAM that excited them, it was the novelty. We have to keep it rare for them to keep doing it.
You'd have to define that "into" WAM means. If it just means enjoyment then I feel a lot of people could be into it. I couldn't even begin to guess a percentage. But, if you're talking about the percentage of people who are into WAM sexually, meaning they get off on pies, slime, etc...then it's far, far less. Probably below 1% of the U.S. population.
Beyond that, it's a very unknown fetish. We know this for a fact since so many shows featuring kids with slime and pies were on TV which would never, never happen with known fetishes.
I'm sure she gets asked all the time, probably once or twice daily. Of course, it's all the same guy, but she is getting that question posed a whole lot.

I was thinking along the lines of people that actually know what WAM is, not just people who are sporadically showing up at some event one day to slime somebody because they reached a goal or something.
It's a way smaller niche than any of the numbers that folks have estimated so far. Rob Blaine and I used to maintain demographic stats based on our customer bases in the 1990's and in the last 25 years UMD has been the central hub for wam fans.
The stats depend on how to you look at things, i.e. from a Global point of view or from the 3 main countries in the world where most of the wam fans are located, i.e. UK, USA and Germany.
There are no more than 50,000 wam fans in the world today, and 30,000 of them come to UMD and there are approx 20,000 other fans who use other sites and platforms.
So, from a Global perspective wam fans are 50,000 of just over 8 Billion people on this planet. That means 1 wam fan for every 160,000 human beings.
A more realistic number to look at is the number of wam fans per capita from the 3 largest congregations of wam fans, i.e. I have kept stats on this since the 1990's and nothing much has changed in the last 30 years, i.e. 80% of all wam fans live in the UK, Germany and the USA. So 80% of 50,000 known wam fans is approx 40,000 wam fans living in the USA, Germany and the UK.
Add the populations of those 3 countries = USA (334m), Germany (83m) and the UK (68m) and you have 485 million people who have 40,000 wam fans. So that equates to 1 wam fan for every 12,125 people.
I think that is a more realistic number, i.e. 1 in every 12,000 people who are living in the 3 largest population centers for wam fans.
Of course, bear in mind that there are 195 countries in the United Nations, and 80% of all wam fans come from 3 countries only, and the other 20% come from another 17 countries, so there are 175 countries in the world with almost zero wam fans at all.
Note: My stats are based upon "cognizant wam fans", i.e. those who purposely engage in wam hobbies because it is their fetish. I exclude people who are not cognizant that they are participating in wam activities, and merely do so for fun, e.g. people who attend the mud festival in South Korea or the Songhran water festival in Thailand, and local people who participate in wet and messy traditions around the world. These an oblivious people who just do things for fun, but for them it is not a fetish.
