I absolutely tell all the girls about the fetish before they even agree to the shoot. It's a silly harmless fetish that doesn't even require them to be sexual / topless, and I've never had anyone mind (except the only girl who I didn't tell until afterwards, so her scenes will never see the light of day).
I always use girls who are keen to get messy when they see my previous work, and want those kind of photos in their portfolio. If they have any unspoken concerns about the fetish then they must just be outweighed by their desire to get messy! Most of them see what I do and say things like "omg that looks epic, when can we do it!"
I'm currently suffering from having too many keen girls but not enough time or money to film!! I'll be shooting next month though...
Of course, I am honest from the outset about all aspects of the shoot. I encourage the models to have a look at the site and let them know what they are in for and explain that it is an adult fetish site. I see no point in trying to deceive them. I can't say for certain but I am pretty sure some of the models we have worked with have actually discovered they have a bit of a WAM fetish themselves!
When we search for models on Model Mayhem, we always look at their genres list, and if fetish is not listed, we will not bother to ask them. When a model contacts us, we will tell them up front what we do and send them a link to the site. Honesty is always the best policy.
Absolute honesty from the very start is the only way to work. When I talk to a prospective model I give her the URL of the site, links to some videos, and a document which spells everything out in full detail including "Fetish Disclaimer: While our emphasis is on fun, most of our customers are people who become aroused watching fully clothed women getting covered in gunge. If you aren't happy with your image being used in this way, you should not participate." Every model we've taken on since the early days has read the document, only ever had two people change their minds (and both are still friends, just decided they didn't want to model).
As with WTFDownloads, my problem at the moment is I'm swamped with new girls wanting to do shoots - it's going to be a busy Autumn season at the Hall.

I love the way your disclaimer is written. Very straightforward and non-judgmental.
Now that this thread is nearly a day old, I can't be the only one wondering whether the lack of response from certain producers means they do hide that detail?
Agree with the complete honesty aspect. I always have a meeting at a neutral location with a new model before a shoot, usually I take 'em out to breakfast or lunch, something like that. During that meeting, I spell out exactly what's going to take place, where the video is going to be put online for sale, and I make sure they have a link to this site so they can find out for themselves. I also spell out very clearly, "This is going to be a fetish shoot. The end product is going to be used by guys and gals to jerk off to, watch while they have sex etc." This has never been a problem because all the models I've worked with have done previous fetish work (hell, one is even a hardcore porn star now!). No harm in making everything crystal clear, though.
Yeah, I explain it to models now. Back in the day I didn't always, but of course the fetish in general and the UMD was more PG to R-rated. Now there's a triple-XXX banner ad of a girl swallowing a guy's dick as I type this, so....
They understand that what I do is much more PG-rated, and no nudity. I'm not sure all of them "get" it though. Most don't do fetish work. NONE do any sort of porn whatsoever. If I insisted on nudity, my site would currently consist of one model. (Maybe two? Not sure.)
I can tell the ones who totally "get it" because they insist on much higher rates, and fake names, and other details in the contract. I have many who now insist on a "no YouTube or other social media" clause, which is fine, because most of that leads to problems anyway. Unfortunately, I've had people who think they are "supporting" me by uploading pics and my teaser videos onto YouTube, or IG, or Pinterest, so it's impossible to keep up with how content spreads. (A few weeks back someone created the "official SlapstickStuff" account on IG... Completely fake. And even tagged one of my models to hit on her! )
I'm not trying to be the voice of negativity here. I think it's amazing that some producers have models knocking down their door and begging to shoot with no restrictions whatsoever. But that's never been my experience. I personally think the "mainstreaming" of our fetish has made my job harder, not easier, but that's another topic! (And also YMMV.... )

I can only think of one of our girls that had even heard of wam before she started working for us and she is the only one I know of that took it home to try with her boyfriend...
All the others found out about wam through us and yes they all knew what the media was for before filming started. Most of the girls find it quite interesting that you guys have this kink and think it's a pretty cool fetish! If they are really interested we'll show them the umd and the other types of wam that's out there, at the least they know we advertise on a big wam forum! So yes most kind of know about the umd!
Unless the model is a total idiot saying "I want to artistically pie you in the face" won't cut it. Any model who has any experience doing videos knows what the videos are for (jack-off material). Some models I have worked with haven't heard of wam so I explain to them the appeal & nuances of the fetish before filming since it leads to a better product if the model understands what she is doing.
i know i have worked with some girls of ariels in wambabes that did not know about the fetish. we would just explain it to them really quickly while setting up. ariel would send them what they were going to have to do, if they were ok with it and the link to wambabes store to watch videos, see what it is, and browse through the whole thing to see if they wanted to do it. she encouraged them to see what actual wam was on their own before making a decision. pretty sure she has not sought out girls lately because around here, these girls i guess think they are "above" doing something like wam. we live in the bible belt. its totally cool to make some money to get fucked in the ass but to be able to still wear your clothes and maybe just go topless, or a thong and get pied and slimed by laughing girls having a fun time for probably more money?? OMG!!! THAT IS INSANITY! it is a strange thing to me.
We've always been 100% honest with all of our models, its the only way you can be. Not many of the girls had heard of it before other than one or two who had asked to shoot with us. You'd be surprised how many other fetish's are out there that are a lot stranger than ours as well. We thought we'd heard it all until we were told about a "wooly" fetish.
I only shot with models for a couple years, but there is no way I would have ever felt good lying to any model. As for the two videos that I have listed here which feature models, it was a non-issue. Kat Surth was an experienced fetish model and Kitten-Face was an erotic dancer and webcam girl.
Maybe I am overly sensitive about the other two models. They were not experienced and it seems to me like UMD is a little too public for two smart young ladies who worked for me briefly but might, in fact, prefer to chase a different future doing something else.
I have clips of me here, though, that I shot with tripods...and I'm okay with it!
Come to think of it, though, if I found myself here by surprise and realized that somebody had told me a whopper of a lie about the project I worked on...I would be furious!
