In our attempts to improve our shoots. We wanted to ask if you like to see the girls stay messy throughout or a water wash off in the middle of a shoot?
I like the old 'bucket of water' as it partially dissolves thick mess into runny, wetter mess. A total rinse-off would not be something I'd want to see though.
Definitely not my thing. Seeing an ever-increasing quantity of mess piling up on someone is something I adore in WAM. Wiping the slate clean mid-shoot just feels like a weird, unwelcome interruption to me.
Well I guess I'm the odd one out. I love seeing a woman's features, so her being entirely encased in mess is a bit of a turn-off for me. I'm all for washing off midway just to be messed up again!
1) You can only get so messy. Sure I guess someone could get splattered with 100 different substances, so each one is a bit new. For me, it's all about that 'first contact'... clean and dry girl/dress/outfit/skin getting messed up for the first time. ...and there is only ever one 'first time' to get messy. Otherwise, you have to clean, shower, dry hair, get new clothes, makeup, etc.
2) I'm OK with watching girls wash off, but it's a mere sideshow to the main attraction.
3) I do like watching wet girls get messy. It sort of 'resets' the 'first time' mentioned in point #1. Though resets it to maybe 70% of that 'first contact while clean and dry' moment. I guess it would sort of be like 'the first person, ever, to leave a bootprint on the moon' versus 'OK, we raked the surface smooth again, go ahead and leave your bootprint, too.'
So, overall, OK with a middle messy shoot water wash to sort of reset the 'messy clock', but don't necessarily look forward to it. Though always sort of interesting to see the after-shoot clean up and hear the commentary about how insane sticky/gooey/slimy/messy the shoot was.
No surprise there are different views on this. As someone who likes girls wet as well as messy I'm all for scenes that include washing off to clean. Washing off in the middle also means the girls go from clean to messy twice in the same scene which can't be bad. My only caveat is that there should still be total coverage before and after washing off.
One of my favourite Rob Blaine scenes is with Celeste and Caitlyn in a mud pit where they both get totally covered in thick mud then rinse off with a hose standing in the pit before pulling each other back into the mud which is now more sloppy from the added water creating a nice contrast to the first part.
However, in the context of a post-credits scene in which the model is in the shower showering off and then get one last final surprise mess/pie--that works for me.
Or, fuck it. Try it out a few times and see if it sells and what the models think of it. I say never be complete, I say stop being perfect, I say let's evolve, let the chips fall where they may.
I love scenes to maybe start off with a large bucket of water thrown to see the girl's reaction then have all the mess to follow. That's my favourite x

I mean, there is this thing called warm water Robbie. My vote is I like a wash off...at the end.
No personally, I hate water too. I feel like a lot of other producers ruin scenes with water. Water is the opposite of messy, why do they clean the model off in a video that is suppose to be messy? If it's at the end of the scene it doesn't bother me but not in the middle of the mess. I don't think anybody who is buying a scene/clip will complain about a model getting too messy. I've only seen some other producers really want use water.
The crowd has spoken and it's obvious that water in the middle of a pie and slime shoot is not the way to go. We will save the water at the end, for an impromptu "wash off".

I was just going to reply with a simple "no" but this sums it up perfectly.

Context is important; exactly what was it you were thinking of doing and how much water did you plan to use?
Tbh, I could take it or leave it. I prefer it when it leaves any remaining clothing see-through, or when it really makes the mascara run. If it improves a mud scene in some way or another, though, have at it.

We have seen some wam producers use water as part of their repertoire. We wanted to see what our fans thought, and if we should use it in some of our shoots. From the looks of it, water is best used as part of the models washing up at the end of the shoot.
