The 3rd Birmingham Splunch will take place on the 28th February 2015 at The Square Peg 115 Corporation Street, Birmingham, West Midlands B4 6PH from 2pm to 7pm. For those still interested in partying on we'll be going for a meal and drinks afterwards, possibly at the Chinese we went to last time.
If you haven't been to a Splunch before don't be nervous. Come along and enjoy a drink or 3 with a friendly bunch of like minded people.
How do I get there ?
The Square Peg is in the centre of Birmingham just a short walk from Birmingham New street or Moor Street stations. If you are arriving by coach its just a short walk as well, there are maps from the stations and coach station.
Where to stay ?
There are the usual chains of Hotels in the centre of Birmingham with the Premier Inn, Ibis, Travel Lodge, Holiday Inn etc. With a couple of months notice rooms should still be relatively cheap.
Dinner.

Gunge
As with most meets I will be selling our gunge at the usual Splunch Special price of £10 for 24 litres of coloured gunge. If you want me to bring gunge for you can you let me know in plenty of time so we can get it made up in the colours you would like. Great news Mike, any splunch wouldn't be the same without you.
For anybody else coming by train, we are planning to have the meal early enough so those of you catching trains can still have the meal and get back in time for your train. Those of us not rushing back can then enjoy a few more drinks.

Have to count me out of this one, big shame but too much of a cost to travel from up past Inverness to Birmingham by train when I have Uni the day before.
I've been lurking on the Splosh forum for a few years now; but I thought this seemed like a friendly opportunity to get out and meet people. So I've just booked my train and hotel. Count me in for the evening meal as well!

The Splunch's are a pub meet where people can have a beer and a chat. Its an opportunity to put a face to the name as much as anything else. People have been known to get messy in the past, but not at the pub. People do make arrangements to go back to hotels or to do something on the Sunday but thats usually arranged between each other. On previous Splunche's Mike has arranged Mud shoots down at Bristol and we have had people back to go in the Dunk Tank as well so yes it does happen. Best advice is to start going to the Splunches, get to know people and see what happens.
