A while back, there was a thread entitled "Does anyone like ebony WAM?" Despite the MANY problems with this post title (the negative assumption, the use of the outdated term "ebony"), a LOT of folks responded in favor of seeing more scenes from beautiful, sexy, AFRICAN-AMERICAN models.

As luck would have it, I'd just finished a shoot with one of the sexiest models I'd ever worked with.... who also happened to be African-American. Serendipity? Who knows, but I decided to rush-release it as the next SlapstickStuff volume!

Meet Candi! She's proof that, despite our mostly PG reputation, SlapstickStuff is not adverse to pushing the envelope.... especially with a model who looks like this! Pretty sure this might be our first debut shoot where ALL the scenes are R-rated.... from Candi's barely-there white dress with nothing underneath (that slips a few times).... to her sheer black dress (which gives up the fight with gravity halfway through the scene).... to the debut of a new skit we lovingly call "Naked Housekeeping." (Total cost of outfit: $7.99. Money well spent!)

But beyond seeing a lot of boobs (R.I.P. Regis), SS209 is unbelievably sexy because of Candi herself... who is fun, flirty, and down to get messy as you could hope! It's probably not a coincidence that this is some of my best (all-real) pie/cake/slime coverage to date. Something about a white pie on dark skin just... works.

I tell ya, I have NOT had great success with AA models... either in recruiting them, or in getting people to buy them. But Candi had that certain "something," so I went for it. And then a day before her flight, she got cold feet big time... I had to "talk her off the ledge," so to speak.

But after all that... She showed up and she was just fantastic. So sometimes things work out! Plus we bonded over Prince so now she's eager to come back. Early sales have been encouraging, so fingers crossed.

If you guys are interested, I can post a few "uncensored" pics I saved, pre-pixels. Sound good...?

bonding over Prince has been somethign that has sparked many of my friendships. he is and always will be THE MAN. i teach a pole aerobics class and all these young girls get confused at my music choices. ITS PRINCE, LADIES. HIP TO IT......last week was "controversy" lol. i let them choose their music mid way through class which was a lot of an artist i just heard of lately named "cardi b" it wasnt too terribly bad if you dont mind repetition......and a lot of it. it was catchy.

I agree, a beautiful woman is a beautiful woman regardless of race, colour, age, heritage, etc. She is simply a sexy beautiful woman, who looks amazing getting fantastically messy!!

Really need to make a slapstickstuff/Jayce collaboration happen! I know I'm not the only one who thinks so or has said it, it would sell like gangbusters! I think it's on probably most ppls top 3 list of model/producer cross overs, and sorry for bringing it up again, I know it DOES get said semi regularly, but I'm sure ppl would all love to see it happen!

Abd btw...rich...I know you said she was fantastic once she showed up, but just curious, what made her get cold feet if you dont mind me asking, and then how was she once she got there as far as being open to the shoot and everything?

I try not to analyze "model psyche" too much.... But she emailed me last minute and was a bit unsure about the schedule, and her wardrobe possibly getting ruined, and a few other things. It definitely had that cold feet vibe. But we talked on the phone, and I assured her we'd go at her pace for scenes (no pressure), I'd cover the cost of any ruined clothes, and so on. From that point it was smooth sailing. Also I gave her $15 to cover the white dress.... All the mess kinda dulled it out.

This is actually not uncommon for first-time models, especially if they're traveling. It's definitely trust on both sides. I'd rather have a model address any concerns up front, and work them out, instead of her just cancelling last-minute without talking to me at all.

Lol nah man I didnt mean it in a psychological break down or anything, I was just wondering why she did a complete 180 going from almost not wanting to do it to having a great shoot, that's totally understandable though, and you're 100% right that it's better for her to talk to you about it so you can "ease her worries or issues" instead of canceling, obviously that makes sense, but glad it all worked out for ya brother

Ebony's not a good term, but at least it isn't erasing black women who aren't from America...

I'm honestly fine with whatever. In fairness: Several of my customers who like black models referred to them as "ebony" models so that was the term I used for quite a while.

But during the discussion in Ken's thread, a bunch of folks said they had issues with that term, and so I made the decision to remove it from my stores. I use the keyword "black" now which seems to be better overall. Either that or African-American should be fine. (I guess if I ever shoot a British model I can't use the latter term!)

I love all the comments, and I definitely want to bring Candi back! That said, it comes down to sales, not UMD posts..... (Although sales have been pretty good so far.)

Working on editing some of her stuff now. The "Naked Housecleaning" one is gonna turn out fantastic. I even grabbed a few more stills to turn into stupid memes. Enjoy!
