I've just noticed that his profile's been deleted, and looking at the times of his last posts it must have happened overnight. (UK time.)

I'm a bit taken aback. Yes, his posts had a certain flavour, but from the way people responded I think most got the joke. Therefore, I wouldn't have thought he's been banned. Moreover, he was such a long-term, regular poster that I also don't see he'd just up and leave either.

Does anyone know what's happened?

Tbh this kind of worries me.

Sometimes people just deactivate their profile or go invisible temporarily.

EDIT: Oh, I just looked and his profile actually says "Deleted"/"This profile has been removed." That is concerning. I enjoyed his comments and hope he returns.

I'd assume it involved a dozen FBI agents and a hail of gunfire.

We should all be so lucky...

(On a serious note, his grade-A snark doesn't grow on trees. His persona will be missed and things here will be a tad duller.)

Regis will be missed and Bigshipper is right, this place will be much less enjoyable without him.

A mod needs to give us some kind of explanation. I can't imagine someone NOT knowing Regis' schtick by now and actually deleting his profile.......

Maybe you can smoke him out by offering free scenes...

That's a real shame, his posts definitely added some good humour around here, he'll be missed.

Noticed his profile had been deleted and went looking for the inevitable "Where's Regis" thread. I regarded this place as more his than mine and never said a thing. As a former moderator in another place though it's sometimes a complete body of work that gets some in over their heads.

Whoa, I just got on a little while ago to see this. I'm honestly surprised. He's been around a long time, there isn't a mod that doesn't know what he's about. We know he's not ACTUALLY a troll, just stars as one here.

I've had no contact with him outside of here, so I hope things are ok.

Unless, maybe I was right, and he was just malicious code in the UMD that Messmaster finally fixed.

Edit: Regis however is known for not toning down the sarcasm (let alone turning it off) at times when maybe he should. Sometimes, he's too quick with the knee jerk comment when he should consider who his words are going to.

I am certainly happy to add to that plea if it will help in any way.

The guy was doing a bit, and a creative one, by playing the id of UMD. If banned or suspended, some people....

that is why i put up "where the fuck is regis??" i love his comments!! he is an asshole but he isnt REALLY an asshole but what he says is quite hilarious, even when it is at my expense! i think hes great! i really hope he didnt get booted! that would sincerely suck! regis rocks! he keeps the sarcasm alive.

UPDATE: I just got an email from Regis, and he asked everyone to please not go after the mods or MM or other posters. Basically, he deleted himself.

So, sorry guys, no big conspiracy theories. The man has his reasons, that's all. I did tell him the UMD is a poorer and 65% less amusing place in his absence, so maybe he might reconsider his decision down the line.

Happened to me too. Regis was fun. I tried to be fun and was admonished. He could get away with what I wanted to say. I lived thru the Reg!
