This Site is apparently really sexist because there used to be an entire section devoted to my favorite thing; men in messy stuff! Why was this section necessary you might ask? Because almost everything else on this website is devoted to non-sexy females! Females are so unappealing to me. But that entire section of Male Wam is gone. So what am I to do DX?!?!?!? Why did it go and where did it go? What is the logic behind deleting such a valuable portion of this website DX?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Hold your horses. Go into the messy section and in the top is a ride button selection for all, men, women, coed etc. Click the one you like. Might want to look into that before having such a rant with over use of punctuation. As for non-sexy women, that is an opinion and a preference, I personally don't look at men but i'my not going to slate them for being on here.
Finally; even if it were women only, that is not sexism as nothing derogatory about men was said. At worst it would be limited and focused...but that's what the selection buttons are for.
Thank you guys for your replies. It does sort of help to know that I can select what I see on the forums based upon gender. I knew that I could do that with pictures but I didn't know that it applied to here as well. But okay, I've just gotta ask this in more detail.
So if you go to the top of the Site there is the forums button. Click on that and then you will see a list of forums to choose from such as Wetlock, Messy, Classifieds, and Off-Topic. There used to also be a forum section called "Male Wam". That was like heaven to me but it is now gone DX?!?!? But the question is, why is it gone? Why was that section taken down? Was it because there were not enough posts to that section? Or because there was a problem with it? Or does it still actually exist somewhere and I'm simply not seeing it?

The long-term idea was to make it so that selecting the bubbles would switch the entire UMD over to male wam, or whatever pref you select. A perk was that all of the forums would become male wam as well, so you'd have wetlook, messy, classifieds all become male wam. I think a number of folks still can't get over not having a forum specifically labeled "Male Wam," when really the idea is much bigger than that.

The "Male Wam" forum is still here. The difference is that instead of the wetlook and messy male stuff being shoved into one forum, they now how their own full Male Messy and Male Wetlook forums... and Male Classified forums! Just click the "male" bubble, and the entire forum system basically converts over to male. This was was done so that the forum could work the same way as the rest of UMD after I programmed UMD to recognize male content.

I run this site basically by myself. When a person signs up and posts a bunch of content to various areas under the wrong gender, then it is up to me go to change it all, and that can take considerable time. I took several months converting most sections of UMD to "understand" the gender of the content posted, then I built myself an admin tool which would go through and re-tag all of a person's content throughout the site with the proper gender (and the forums needed to be included in this). Takes tons of time off of my moderation work, but the bonus was that this let me build a bubble preference so that you guys could also switch all of UMD's content to whatever gender you like! I figured if you were sensitive to gender in the forums, then you might feel that way about the rest of the site, too. So I tried to aim for the logical conclusion and just convert the entire site.
The forums were the last piece of UMD to be able to actually understand the gender of the posts made, and then be able to filter it explicitly based on your preference. It reduces mistakes because when someone makes a forum post, UMD defaults to the gender preference of that person, which eliminates me from bothering you guys to tag every post, while reducing moderation time for me, too. The number of mistaken male-wam posts in the (ambiguous) Messy forum has been greatly reduced.
Also to note: The old Male Wam forum has always allowed female wam content too--so long as the content also had guys in it (e.g. coed). The current incarnation of the forums allows you to go stricter than that, by enabling a "strict" setting for your gender preference in your profile. It attempts to eliminate any content that has females in it, even if there are guys in it too. There is also a coed option that attempts to return only content with males and females in it together. Oh, did I mention there is also a Male Chatroom?
I could go on forever, but I'll stop here... ask me anything you like!
No more questions from me. Thanks, that was helpful. I guess that I'll just have to get used to using the filter. Although I preferred having one place exclusively for males. Even if it were still technically possible to post female content in it. I'll just have to get used to using the filter wherever I go on this site.
Edit: Actually I do have one more question: How come whenever I go to the Off-Topic Forum section it now gives me this message:
"No threads yet. Please check back later. Back to forums"
Where did all of the forum posts and messages go in the Off-Topic section 0_o? Or why can't I see any of them?

UMD remembers your preference so you shouldn't have to get used to turning it on and off. If you have a profile, your preference is saved along with it, so it should remember your settings when you log in from somewhere else. If you have your pref set for males, the entire UMD attempts to turn into a male UMD including most of the forums; If you want exclusively male content (on the forums), turn the strict setting on, but if you do want to allow females, make sure the strict setting is OFF. It's your choice.

I have found and isolated this issue, and it should be corrected later today! MM
