"When I saw this skirt suit I knew it had to be messy!"

Backstory on this one, a friend and I were shopping at the local Goodwill clearance place. Everything is in shallow bins, zero organization to it whatsoever and you pay $1.69 / lb for what you get except for books which are cheaper. It's the last stop before they get rid of things. So while digging through everything I found this shamrock green long skirt suit, complete with terrible shoulders and some weird pattern around the collar... and it was actually my size!
I had to get it, and last weekend I was able to finally get together with a friend who helped me do what this thing needed. This is round 1 of the fun we had, round 2 is with a niceish dress I wear out a lot.

Certainly looks a right mess indeed, glad you were delighted with your choice and the suit definitely might be a darker shade after all that mess. Look forward to round 2.

Interesting, I assumed that part would have been a drawback because it shows less leg. I have two others. A black one with similar length and another that's blue and falls just below the knee.
It's not a skirt but what about two piece dress/jacket sets in similar length? I have one that's a mother of the bride dress, a formal with a high slit in the front/left, and two shin-length dress sets that are not formals.
Plus a whole bunch of prom and bridesmaid dresses. The queue of things to get messy in is long!

This is where it entirely depends who the audience is, what works or not. I'm into clothed wam, ergo I want to see someone's clothes getting messy. I'm also not into nudity, so "seeing more leg" isn't something I care about. To me, the ideal skirt length is at least to the knees or a bit below, so that when the wearer sits down they have a full lap that stuff can be poured into, or if they're sitting in mess, it's the back of the skirt that's getting it rather than most of it going on their legs.
TBH short skirts that only come half-way down the thighs are something I totally don't see the attraction of - if wanting to show that much leg, forget skirts and wear shorts instead, so we can see the legs all the way up, and see the crotch of the shorts getting the messy treatment. I can sort of see it if it's a games skirt worn over gym knickers, or a skirt/dress that's only an inch or two below crotch height - because you can then arrange things so you can properly see the underwear getting messy. Our latex maid's dress for instance facilitates this. But in general if wearing a skirt, longer is better, more to mess up.

I can see the attraction of slit dresses (or indeed short ones) for people who are into legs/tights, indeed a former producer here made an entire career out of girls in short skirts/dresses and tights with heels, because that was his personal taste. But for me, more leg on show actually reduces the chances of me liking or buying a scene, unless it's shorts / leotard / swimsuit, and we can see the clothed crotch getting messy. Shin length dresses without slits would be appealing, the slit one would all depend on how it looks, how it drapes clean, and how it then behaves when messy.
Obviously this will vary by each individual viewer, chances are no two wammers actually like exactly the same things, or even like the same things for the same reasons.
But I really do like the outfit you are wearing here, in fact the only thing in this set I'm not keen on is the crossed legs, sitting flat gives a clearer view of the sitter's lap so is always my preferred pose, and cross-legged in a commercial scene will usually mean I don't buy it. Given this is a free one however that's a very minor criticism. Overall, this is a fantastic set, pretty model with a lovely figure, gorgeous skirt, and lots and lots of mess.

Valuable feedback, I appreciate hearing the thoughts of others. The crossed legs thing is something I have to un-learn because it's pretty much an instinct when sitting down
It's also instinct to make sure they aren't crossed when the slime comes out because it like you said, it wrecks the coverage when everything just runs off to the side. It's no fun when you don't get to see it. I'm also going to be experimenting with consistency because I feel like it's still just a tad too thick. Not enough spreading out to the shoulders when it's poured out. That's where I need to get on with it and make the gunge tank I bought all the supplies for so I'm not dependent upon having a helper. I could also use a good full length mirror someplace other than in the closet. Lighting is terrible there, along with my organization and tidying up abilities!
