I just answered a poll where the question was about seeing things in a video that were there for production purposes and the author thought it took away from the video and ruined it for him. I can see why that is a turn off to some but I have a similar question...
Back in the day when we started Oasis, I was quite nervous, overweight, scared of this new internet thing, and was very, very modest. Thirty years later and thirty years older, not so much lol! Now I accept that I make porn and try real hard to get that "build up" to what I assume is a masturbation orgasm at the "money shot" from the viewer. So, I pretty much make the same scene over and over with different clothes because I feel that I cater to others that look at wetlook as porn more than a simple fetish. Hell, I get off on it all the time, and I did today
So I would like to know what turns you off when you watch wetlook. Feel free to leave a detailed response if I do not hit your answer!
Well something I see that is a turn off for me is nice shoes in wetlook. I just don't see what the benefit is and it kinda kills it for me. That and I prefer fully clothed wam in any fashion especially total saturation mostly in just casual clothes & maybe I'm different but total nudity (unless I'm THERE) doesn't add anything for me. I guess some pictures don't have the same effect as being there in person.
It's such a personal thing and it's hard to pin down exactly. Like fully clothed, must start off dry. Like anticipation, and like the model's reactions! Like her to get wet slowly, bit at a time! Like her to enjoy it and for her to look.at herself, she can't quite believe she got those nice clothes wet!
For me when I think the video grows too long, I prefer videos between 6-10 minutes long sometimes 15 if the senario is right. Sometimes if the video feels like the model is doing the same thing over and over again within the same video it makes it feel too long for me. Also some clothes turn me off.
For me there are a few things. First if the model does not look like they are enjoying themselves that is a huge turn off. I don't mind scripted not enjoying things, or scripted humiliation or tossed on a pool or something without warning where the model knows it might happen. When the body language shows something is off that is a peeve. An other one is wetlook that does not include underwear. Where the model is going "commando" . There are some great scenes without a bra as well as with a bra. It is not messy stuff so it is not like it is hard to clean. The last one is bathing suits. To me bathing suits is not wetlook.
Two things put me off wetlook scenes. The first, and by far the most common, is atrocious / incompetent camera work, which means we don't actually get to see the actual wetting, particularly of the model's lower half. For me personally the "money shot" in a "wading into the water" scene is seeing the water rise from mid thigh to waist, and particularly the moment their crotch goes into the water. Can be filmed from in front or behind, but we need to be able to see it happen. All too often it's completely missed. Likewise if a model is say sitting and having water poured over her, and they are framed so we can't see their lap and legs (this is also my main peve in messy videos). A lot of people seem to be obsessed with the idea the model's face must be in shot at all times, to the extent that they entirely miss bits of the actual wetting action.
A lesser but related issue is a videographer with no understanding of light and shade. I saw a scene recently filmed in what was presumably evening sun, the dry parts of the model in bright sunlight, but the water in shadow. Needless to say most of the detail was lost because the camera had adjusted to the bright part of the scene, and cameras can't cope with differing light levels the way our eyes can.
The second peve is more "personal taste" and I know others will differ, but I don't like sudden wettings, dry one moment, totally soaked the next. I like to see the wetting happen in stages. Doesnt have to be too long and drawn out, a model walking down steps into water, or having water poured over her in a steady flow, is fine, but jumping into water always seems like a wasted opportunity.
Finally, I've seen some shower scenes where you can't actually see the water making contact with the model's clothes. You can hear it and know she's getting wet, but the actual point of contact is out of shot. I want to see the actual wetting happen, the water touching the dry material and making it wet.
one thing not for me is total nudity , its wetlook its the clothes looking wet and the way the cling to the body, gives such a sensual look aswell, model also looks like they having fun doing it aswell ,
I prefer full outfits, I'm always impressed by Erik Elsas's work. His models almost always wear proper shoes, Jewellery, Belts, Etc. Lots of other producers have fully clothed models but not fully dressed.
FWIW, I find the Smartphone tucked in the back pocket of jeans pretty sexy, Shame it'll never really become a wetlook thing.
One other one for me. Swimsuits as wetlook. I'm sorry to those who enjoy it but for me, unless that swimsuit is going transparent, it's not wetlook to me. That's just swimming.
For me it's just when the video does not include any after shots of the model getting out of the water after. This is fortunately not most videos but more prevalent in ones that feature mostly underwater content which is understandable.
Another is leaving out elements of clothing for necessary reasons, most commonly shoes and socks. Something I noticed too is vintage wetlook is really good about always containing bras and underwear underneath but most modern wetlook has more focus on full nudity or see through nudity. I am not saying there is not place for it, but it currently dominates which leads me to prefer older productions.
Lots of negativity towards Swimsuits. I quite like a nice one piece swimsuit under clothes. Makes me think they had planned to get wet and still kept their clothes on.
That and a nice tight sporty one piece is incredibly sexy.
I agree... the two piece bathing suit, bras and panties, and even the one piece body suit bathing suit do nothing for me. Mine are all that old fashioned kind like a short dress. I have owned many over the years and still have three of them. I buy them on purpose because at a crowded beach or lake, I feel like I am doing something a little wicked by swimming in my clothes, right in front of people! And judging by the looks I get, many onlookers feel that way too. It's definitely an attention getter!
But yes, the only clothes that do it for me in wetlook are the kind of clothes that were never meant to be worn wet. The more expensive and layered, the better!
So I ask you, does wetting this bathing suit count as wetlook?
