I've been following UMD for over 20 years. Probably like a few others, I followed a link from Messy Fun. And I learned of Messy Fun from Maxim magazine. I'm glad I did!
I found it on the bottom of either Clown Julie's page or Phoebe's page. Now if I remember correctly I found them though what ever search engine I was using at the time.
I can't remember exactly how I ended up here, but it can't have been long after I discovered that WAM was a thing.
I knew the thought of women getting messy turned me on, but the closest I'd seen to that was women getting wet. I was searching for pics of that online when I found a set of a blonde woman getting messy with custard, which was the most amazing thing I'd ever seen.
That led to me searching for other similar pics, so it can't have been long before I found this place.
Might've been a Netscape Navigator find, right as the Internet was becoming a thing for normies. 1997 or 98 or so.
I searched "girl gets a pie in the face" or something like that and found Shokolada's Mess, Messyfun, Bill's Pie Page, Aqua Entertainment, Hurley's Clip Tapes, and eventually the UMD.
Can't really remember how I got here.. Google, and social media didnt exists back then .. late 90s.
It makes me think.. should UMD advertise more? I mean attracting lost wammers home should be part of this community values? More consumers would be certainly a good thing for producers. Could also attract new talent..
Wow this is crazy, almost nobody who commented joined in the last 5 years. theres no way this is such an unpopular fetish. I wish there was a way to know of the lurkers but there's little I can do about that
I can't remember fully, lol, I think, someone I chatted with either or Yahoo!messenger, or Skype perhaps. mentioned it to me, so somewhat late to the party here.
Have been a member for about 10 years now, although I was on deepsinking.org, and quicksandfans I never really knew it was here.
Being a relative latecomer perhaps as a result of having to lurk a lot on and off due to unwelcome/unwanted attention over the years,.even though I go back almost 30 years with my online fetish forays, dabbling and visiting various sites.

I'm really happy this place isn't more popular, seeing as how important anonymity is to a lot of the members. A lot of people who upload here might stop if the site became drastically more visible. Plus, having a niche kink/fetish has its advantages.

I forget what initially led me here but I think it had something to do with MudBunny's content. Was disheartened at first to find out you had to have an account to view profiles and buy videos because I think I just wasn't old enough when I discovered the site. I eventually created a profile when I was old enough and had my own debit card to make online purchases and poor financial decisions.
All this cake, there must be a princess somewhere.
I think it was through ECGunge or at least through a few other websites. Watched a lot of Messygirl and Piefightgirls too. Fetlife was a great place for it as Creammeagain eluded to.
In the early 00's I searched for mud wrestling terms and found messyfun which had a links page to a few other sites including umd. It was very easy to find. I would come to this forum to find preview pics. I still have my pic collection.
It was easier to find back then before the adult tube sites. It was easier to find producers in searches. Now if you search, you will just get garbage tube site results. I searched for something that I thought might result in umd in the results and several pages or 86 results appear before it. I made a similar comment about this https://umd.net/forums/i/how-mainstream-is-wam/start/30#postid_975801 - the tube sites ruin wam in so many ways.
I...truly don't remember. I remember when I joined but not when I first started lurking and what brought me here.
Maaaaaaybe someone mentioned it on Tellygunge back when I was on those forums? Or maybe someone referenced it on a messy post on Instagram? Damn. This is gonna bother me.
I typed in "umd.net" in my web browser and the internet magic bought me here.
Seriously though, I don't fully remember. Definitely recall progressing from random searches > EC Gunge / Splosh > UMD, but where and when each 'transition' happened is beyond me.
Messygirl said: Actually UMD found us. Back in 1997 a young college graduate asked if we would be interested having our site on something he was starting up called the Ultimate Messy Directory.
Messygirl is how I found UMD!!! I was fascinated and talked about it to an internet friend and he directed me here!!!

You're right-ya'll wouldn't get to pie my bare face so much if this was too popular! Thanks for that!!!
It was definitely a link from another site, maybe splosh or piedfaces.net??? I have no idea how but I am glad I found a place where I feel like I belong. My only regret was being too shy to be more active earlier! I met so many amazing people in the last year.
My introduction to the sploshing kink was though a customer purchasing a custom scene. I was initially selling on clips4sale and while researching the kink further through google and other forums I managed to land here. Wasn't sure my product was a good fit, especially because at the time I was pretty much exclusively shooting with raver / alt models but I decided to give it a shot.
CreamMeAgain said: I found it in 2016 through FetLife. I was still so green, I had no clue what a fetish was and most of my life I had stayed offline so I had no clue how to navigate any of this. So this is my origin story:
In 2013 I had a friend who started domming again after years of not doing it and I was fascinated by it. She was on this website FetLife and I asked her what a fetish was and she was like, "Everything is a fetish, people get turned on by anything and everything, just type any word into the search and you'll find a fetish for it." I ran home and immediately looked up "pie in the face" and there were all these profiles of people into it. I was living in Denver at the time and couldn't find anyone local and FetLife was so BDSM focused I barely used it. Then I decided I really wanted to meet people like me, so I started reaching out to the people on there who were into it. PieWriter was like, the second person I talked to and he immediately told me to come to UMD. Then every other wammer there kept telling me this was a much better community for our fetish and it absolutely was and still is! I finally came here in 2016 and I was completely blown away. I felt like I had finally come home, and I've been here ever since
Googling around for pie in the face content with my then-gf who used to go by "LCP" (Or "Lemon Cream Pie" for those of you keeping score at home). (She and I met on IRC, it's that long ago). We discovered this place and I've been around ever since.
I first discovered the messyfun website back in the dial up days then through more searching I found the UMD and been here off and on ever since under different names. And here I am back again finally!
I was randomly search for mud wrestling clips online and stumbled across this site. My profile says I've been a member for 8yrs but I'm positive it's been way, WAY, longer than that
