If you've not been to a splunch before it is just a low key social occasion, no sploshing, no play, just a chance to meet like-minded individuals.

I felt 3.30pm start in Birmingham worked as it's a bit after standard hotel check in time and not too early. Also, if anyone want to get there early anyway there's nothing stopping them.
Depending on how many mud scenes we've managed to shoot by then, going to try and make this. Earlier is better for me as can come down on a morning train and then get one back 9 or 10 pm, so could possibly still shoot on the Sunday if weather good.

Would be great to meet you, but I can definitely see the need for making the most of the scorching sun whilst it lasts!
It's been so long since I've been to one of these I was only thinking the other week it would be nice to have another one in London that I could attend Suddenly it's on the calendar then I realise I fly to Egypt two days before for a one month holiday so we are not going to make it If it was a week before I would've been there
Coolio. If I'm still in London by then I'll be there.
Though that's a big if at the moment, it's 50:50 as to whether I'm staying in London or moving AND if I'm gonna be moving then it's 50:50 as to whether I take that as the cue to go do the World Tour I had planned to do back in 2020 (which proved to be excellently timed with Covid) and if I did do that tour then it could be 50:50 as to whether I find somewhere I then want to emigrate to permanently anyway. I mean having moved all round the country growing up, being diagnosed as Asperger's as a kid, then have it changed to ADHD and dyspraxia in adolescence and probably a little bit non-binary I've spent a lifetime used to being the outsider that travelled between social circles without really belonging to any of them and always being on the move. Being a bit of a nomad already being able to change the scenery and learn from new surroundings may override any homing instincts.
But anyway whilst I'll be there if in London, it's pretty much odds even on me being pretty much anywhere by that point so shall hold off confirming any attendance at this point.
OMG!!!! Actually in London that day...but by 6pm will be with non-sploshy friends. Grrrrr....really wish it was a 1pm job. Anyone around fancy a coffee/beer early on?

Well gosh darnit; I have a wedding to attend that day!
I am intending on returning to a Splunch this year, but sadly not this particular one. I'll keep an eye out for the Leeds one, or any others that get planned
Less than a week to go, I'm so excited. There's been a lot of talk about train and underground strikes but I do not believe that it is going to be on our Splunch date.
