My abominations are a year end festive event. It is every clearance item I pick up at the stores and can fit in my chest freezer until I can't anymore as well as an entire shelf I fill full of cake mixes and oatmeal.
Now, if massive slime messes are your jam I pretty much do that already. I don't call them my abominations because that's not being taken for this series... which I plan to continue on a yearly basis. But generally I do minimum 5 gallons of slime per session but I tend to go as much as 10-25 gallons on a regularly filmed basis. I also don't call it an abomination because I tend to use the same types of slime per video, usually only doing multiples if I could save some from a previous mess.
As for savory... tried it s few times (one savory cluster cuss, spaghetti, and poutine) not a fan. Might try mashed potatoes and molasses together in the future or spagetti noodles without any sauce and substitute a slime... but who knows. Savory is pretty much off the table.
Don't think it would have the same effect, I have a sensitive nose and once it starts to get warm the smell is a bit much for me.
Trying to do something new by cutting out dead space to keep the video quality up. I tend to hit the file size limit, so in order to continue shooting high quality videos I edit out bits of extremely repetitive motions or times where nothing is going on. While I could always do multiple files, but with the length comes a lack of quality in my own opinion.

And I would imagine bits and pieces of "ow fuck, it's in my eye!" and "OMG is that tape coming undone!"
This is so amazing though, and I must admit I'm a little jealous of that chair. 
I would say that I cut about 40% of every video for eye cleaning and emergency tape fixes.

I use all the cakes, pies, mixes, syrups, batters and oatmeal I have been gathering over the year and use them all at once in a giant WAM celebration to end 2019 and bring in 2020. It all starts with a cake to the face. as the frosting peels away and it tumbles into my lab I begin to grind into it, only to have my attention torn away by a hail storm of cakes and pies being thrown and squished onto me. Only once I am fully covered in chocolate, vanilla, and cream does the real mess start. Buckets upon buckets of cake batter get poured out over my head, syrups cascade over me, and oatmeal rains down until my chair turns into a small overflowing pool of mess.
