SO, as you all know, i didnt grow up with this fetish. i came into it for money with the nudging of my sister who did these jobs looking for actual modeling work when she was 18 YEARS ago. She found ariel and did some stuff for her.
YEARS later, after i had a child and was clean for a while, my sister invited me to send my pic to ariel and the rest is history. i did my first set as a picture set with my sister actually taking the pics. no full nudity, and i fell in love....
then my sister suggested me getting a umd account. so, i let her set it up for me bc im computer dumb....and i started getting asked for customs. so, i did them. the rest is history from there, honestly, jilly was the idea behind the store, i kept it running all these years. i have actually been here longer than my profile says because about a year and a half into it, i had to make a new profile.
ANYWAY, when i came to the umd there was the first image that i saw that i will ALWAYS remember thinking "wow, i wanna be there, that looks amazing, she is beautiful, look at that substance" and it still sticks out in my head and even though i have grown in my fetish a BUNCH since back then....i still remember this image and i STILL pray for customs with bulk lyles black treacle! lol XD
I had been on umd for a while, but this was the first image that really was like "WHOA! YES!" it was messy jessie working for hotwam, in a clawfoot tub getting a huge amount of lyles black treacle poured over her blonde hair, and her making this excited face and the substance was gleaming, heaping and awesome. she looked amazing, excited and beautiful! i am trying to find the image right now but, WHAT IS YOURS?? DO YOU HAVE AN IMAGE WHEN YOU FIRST CAME ON THE UMD THAT REALLY CAUGHT YOUR EYE THAT YOU WILL REMEMBER FOREVER??
Probably Sally James on Tiswas in tight jeans, low cut top and thigh length high heeled boots getting pelted by the Phantom Flan Flinger in about 1979 ish.
On UMD, Charlotte getting pelted with pies by Lisa then thrown into a bath of custard while in a tight office suit
i got to see some of rob blaines stuff when i first came on here bc i kept hearing ppl talk about him... and it was pretty damn awesome. classic stuff. classic wam! but, i didnt see many of his images shared. this one was shared on the wall and i saw it and was like "yes! i want to do this! look at her!! amazing!!" it really caught my eye and made my imagination go wild. i dont think my brain has stopped moving on what i can do next, ever since! and it made me FALL IN LOVE with black treacle!!
It's been over 20 years since I have seen or heard of WAM. When I was in the Military ('93 - '98) I used to get black and white newsletters sent to me from Rob Blaine at Messy Fun. It was crazy to get "mail call" and get that 3 or 4 page newsletter before there were DVD's. One of the photos that struck my imagine the most was of Billie in the famous Texas clay pits. I am born and raised in Texas, and still have yet to find this place. No matter if the newsletter was in black and white, I could still make out in my mind the colors and textures of this photo.
I'm 42 now.. and still enjoy WAM and have watched it diversify over the years.
before the days of this message board, it was Messy Fun.
1994, during my freshman year in college.
I'm in the computer lab (I didn't have my own system, at the time), and some guy left his system on that page! I glanced up, after he walked away, and there she was: Victoria, completely slathered in creamy tan clay.
I thought "Wait...there's a web site out there for folks like me? And there are videos one can buy?"
The rest is history.
(Neither of these was the exact image I saw on the front of the page, but this was her)
First, I love this idea for a thread Jayce, and especially that pic of Jessie. (The clip it's taken from is well worth a look :thumbsup
Anyway, I began lurking on UMD in late 2004, years before I first signed up for an account. The ones that caught my early eye were - unsurprisingly - of Fi Stevens, two of which I've added below.
I used to have more early Fi pics, but they've sadly disappeared from my hard drive over time. One lost B2BM shoot I remember was a Xmas themed one she did with Tink (I think her name was), that was about 2004 and isn't either of the Xmas clips she later did for the Kowalskis. I don't have the clip to accompany the pics below, sadly, as it predated my buying clips by years, although given the era it might have been a photo shoot rather than a scene.
Anyway, enough regrets, why was I so impressed by these pics? I'd only just discovered WAM on the net and had no idea that pictures/films existed that got it so right. Look at the bright colours, the thickness of the gunge and the great head and facial coverage. And....look at that second pic....that's a smile....my god, did she enjoy being gunged?! Wow!! And anyway, even underneath the gunge you can tell she's gorgeous, and...is that reddish hair? I'm in love
You get the idea. But these are the pics that kept me coming back - I've never forgotten my first meeting with Fi Stevens - and feeling lucky to enjoy this fetish...
I don't know about other countries, but in the UK, we used to have porno bushes. Basically, a porno bush is where a dirty old man would hide his porno mags (too scared to hide them at home in case his wife found them perhaps) Every now and then, a bunch of school kids would stumble upon this collection...and it would ROCK their world!
That was how I first found out that a) Razzle did messy photo shoots and b) that I liked them quite a bit
I never did manage to find that specific issue of Razzle that we found at school. And I was too young to buy them, so it was a while later until I got to lay my hands on one again. But it had this photo in it and I thought, yeah, definitely!
I have been around here since 1998 under a different name, guided by my favorite quicksand sites, MPV and the like, and to single out that one image that hooked me is difficult. There are so many, and thank you. Now my wife is so turned on by the site, we are still looking for her favorite image, just have a feeling it will be one of me. None the less we will keep searching

Here's an anthem for you Jayce! Maybe you can use it over a trailer if you ever shoot such a video. I'm sure Alex Turner won't mind!
1989. Unaware of Splosh! Magazine, WSM, Hippo and the rest I somehow managed to entirely miss the episode of the James Whale Radio show (despite being an otherwise avid viewer of the show) with Bill Shipton and the multiple model rice pudding and baked bean food fight.
1994. With my then girlfriend perusing a branch of record shop 'Our Price' I saw this...
it is so cool to see how far back a lot of you all go!! im such a newbie!! i have a very great appreciation and respect for the producers who started all this stuff and the ones who got into it early on bc it wasnt the "thing" it was SO TABOO and it still is around a lot of areas....and i just think its rad that everyone kept doing what they were doing. pushing boundaries and limits and thinking outside the box. i have always tried to come up with ideas on my own (for plots and stuff and just how i wanna get messy, unless its custom) but i have found myself here recently with wammers block. i wanna get messy. i know this!! but, i have found myself with only a few ideas of "how" im gonna get in that mess. just simple little plots and whatnot and i have been reading wam stories from back in the day and i love it! its like, simple but not?? i dont know if that makes sense but its just great so, here recently, if its a video of my own, no custom...i just make the mess up and do whatever i feel at that moment and honestly....i feel like that is more golden than anything! ANYWAY, KEEP UP THE PICS!! even ppl who have just discovered the umd the past few years like me, what pic REALLY caught YOUR eye?? dont be shy!! i wanna see how far the umd reach goes!!
So the first thing that got me interested, of course, was Nickeloden, the game shows, and YCDTOTV. I even started making my own green slime with oatmeal and food coloring when I was, gosh, 10? 12? Somewhere around that. In the mid-90's I learned I wasn't a complete freak when I started finding MessyFun stuff. There was a picture of Shaun, I think, who was on her knees, with someone tipping a tin of pudding over her head. I can't find the picture, but it was really fantastic. But through subsequent searches, I found UMD, and so I've lurked for a couple of decades. I was actually given a premium membership for outing pirates years ago, but never really engaged the community. I went through a long marriage and too long of a divorce, so I'm ready to hang out with you wonderful folks.
While it may not have been the 'first' wam pic that I saw and loved, it is certainly the one that really made me realise that this was a fetish and something that would be with me forever!
It was Ariel in a red business suit, white heels and nude tights/ph. In this particular pic, Ariel filled one of her shoes with chocolate pudding, OMG, it gets me now just thinking about it!!
I was Pre-UMD as well. I got online in the mod 90s and the first thing I searched for was "pie in the face" which led me to Rob & Messyfun, Aquatapes, and the mostly text "Splosh in the UK".
The earliest pic I remember (and I can't find it online, but I know i have it on a CD somewhere) was a nicely pied "Keeley" from (I think) MessyFun that said "Keeley Lime Pie" on it.
I been on UMD since 1998, I really don't remember what 1st pic or video was in my head, what I do remember when Ariel was about 20 she was in the pool with a red and black dress on. UMD is the 1st forum that I joined, back then I thought that my mind was crazy who likes women in wet clothes. Been 19 years for me.
As an adolescent, I found myself recording mainstream WAM scenes from the game shows that many of us from my generation remember fondly. I was a young teenager when my family got the internet in our home back in '97, so not knowing anything beyond "girls getting messy," I learned through Yahoo and Alta Vista that a popular term was "gunge." This led me to pics of Jenny Hull, Ulrika Jonsonn, Nicola Stapleton, etc. From there, I stumbled upon many of the WAM stories that were popular in the mid-late 90s, which directed me to Shokolada's Mess. Cursing the days of the 64k modem, I waited patiently to stream short pie scenes featuring Chase and Ariel from Messyfun, and to see sample pics from some of Rob's work. A while later, I discovered Messygirl, UMD, Wambabes, Messy Toni, and Southern Charms all around the same time. Gotta love nostalgia! The ones above with Shaun in paint and the Ariel-Tuesday pie fight were amazing, but here is the one that started my foray into online WAM.

Actually wetlook started me on the WAM fetish. I remember when I was about 14 a programme on ITV called Moody and Pegg which would have been about 1974 and in one episode an attractive blonde girl in a tight skirt and blouse had to stand outside on a flat roof in a torrential rain storm, and the sight of her tight, soaking wet clothes must have attracted my attention!
