I just created this set myself real latex dress, real paint, real mess, all done by hand with love and a lot of creativity. No AI, no fake pixels, just me getting dirty and expressing myself the old-school way. Here are the pics I attached (check them out and tell me what you think ).
Lately I've been noticing that UMD is slowly dying. Every day the feed is flooded with crappy AI-generated "mess" pictures and videos perfect bodies, impossible poses, zero soul, full of weird glitches and artifacts. It feels like the site is turning into an AI slop factory instead of a place for real people to show real fetish art and self-expression.
I'm tired of it.
Real Mess should be about soul, creativity, and people putting themselves out there not some random prompt that took 10 seconds to generate. The classic stuff where you can feel the energy, the effort, and the personality behind every splash of paint or slime is what made this community special in the first place.
So here's my question to all of you:
1. What do you think about the flood of AI content on UMD right now?
2. Should UMD.net (http://umd.net/) finally ban AI-generated images and videos completely and protect real creators?
I genuinely believe real art and real self-expression (like the stuff I make and share in my profile) should be valued way higher than soulless machine spam. If we don't do something soon, the whole Mess section will just become another dead AI gallery.

Hi YWC, I love your work and appreciate the work and creativity that you put in. I can't see how AI images and videos belong here. This site is about getting messy and sharing experiences, not faking it.
Personally, I enjoy getting messy, but I also enjoy capturing images too. I also enjoy seeing images of real people getting messy. I don't want to look at fakes.

To me AI will never replace the real thing. Part of the appeal is knowing that there is someone experiencing the sensations and elements of the session.
Without a real person, it's just a soulless series of animated pictures.

There is a filter to avoid seeing it which I use as it has no interest for me.

100% agree. AI has no business here. It's fake and low effort content. So many hard working models and producers and here we have people entering a prompt and acting like it's real WAM. It should be banned 100%

Just like UMD fetish, I think we need a UMDai.net to keep them separate, there's certainly a market for it but would be nice to keep it seperate from the real thing!

I think UMD has remained healthily sceptical of AI and members across the board have overwhelmingly supported measures to keep AI content strictly fenced off or appropriately flagged as such if it ever reaches the main forum.

I personally don't think it's even anything like sufficiently developed to be a genuine threat to fans of the real deal. There's still a hardcore or genuine WAM fans out there who put their money down and keep this business going.

Ai is, perhaps, the new piracy and piracy was long the popular blame for declining sales and interest. I maintain that piracy (whilst still probably the bigger problem than AI!) is still not the biggest cause of decline (I doubt either of these audiences comprise too many individuals who would otherwise actually be buying content who are not still buying content!)

Since around 2008 there's been an ever greater number of content producers chasing a (comparatively) declining market share. Not helped recently by the various regional internet 'safety' regulations that have prevailed and cut off some of the less tenacious audience members. So, even this, I doubt has curtailed genuine interest.

I still believe it's a case of ever increasing volumes of content competing for a finite audience who has less and less money to spend and, by the same token, become ever more particular about their preferred interests.

Don't like AI but the filter works well.

I think the threat is the few scammers and toxic people who ruin things for everyone, and the people who take pictures and post them on mainstream social media like Instagram, so you go from only being seen by people who have the same fetish, to potentially someone you know bumping into the photos, small chance but still a worry and stops people posting.

I second that! I've seen posts here with AI-generated videos, and oh my god, it's just cringe. I don't understand how anyone can like it. It looks disgusting and artificial.

I do think it should be cordoned off more on the front page at the very least. There is a filter which is pretty good, but a lot of users choose not to or find changing settings a pain.

And newer users will see this site is flooded by AI by default which is not a good look for a community-oriented site imo.

But I've also noticed that things have felt pretty dead these past few months, but I've contributed it more to the crappy age gating online safety regulations (which don't actually work btw and are more about squeezing out anything adult and many supportive and educational areas from online spaces).

All of my content is 100% me as well. A big part of this fetish for me is documenting it, so the visuals are really important. It also is a lot of effort for some fun.

The main forum did get cleaned up from AI by AI getting its own forum.
However, it still shows up in the feed if you don't filter all AI content out on the front page and photo section which is the first place most people go to.

I think the main AI issue facing the forum is those using it on profiles fake pictures, or deepfaking to dramatically change the image etc. Yes we will still have those making fake accounts with stolen pictures and videos like (such as an apparently verified profilethat has been here a while now). Common sense is needed if you have a content creator that used to sell and has made zero attempt to sell here or cross promote and nothing new just decade old stuff already elsewhere into men but exclusively comments on womens posts should be a field of red flags. Now add AI into the mix and you have accounts that have been here for years now uploading pics of "themselves" that are blatant AI but some are better than others.

The few content creators and producers that we have left, thanks to what i think we all.can agree is a larger than fair share of .... lets call them issues, do need protecting to but as Trouso said i dont think we are their yet, but why give a place to.practice share etc when once it is alot of production will be in jeopardy.

I would 100% support a ban on AI-generated content, though in practice I don't know how feasible that would be, especially since the technology is at a point where still images can be moderately convincing (video still has a long way to go). I adjusted my filters to hide it ages ago, but as others have mentioned, it's a bad look for the forum to gradually become flooded with slop (pejorative), especially since the age-gating means an increasing number of visitors are going to be perma-lurkers. At minimum, I'd like to see it segregated to its own space.

More broadly, I have deep antipathy towards AI "art". I'm not a luddite, I work in tech, but I also have an immense love for art and creation, and I think it's genuinely dangerous to have machines that mechanically pump out "good enough" simulacrum of human expression. Whether you're talking about fine art or literal pornography, there's value in being confronted with stuff that real people really made, with real choices, real imperfections, real bodies. Automating that away feels like severing something fundamental about the human experience.

This is just frankly a bad take.

There's a difference between "censorship" and editorial decisions. Ultimately the admin(s) of the site are the ones responsible for the public face of the site; if someone came in and started spewing hate and -isms all over the place, it would be the admins' responsibility to show them the door. Similarly, material involving scat is banned here; is that "censorship"? Someone else may enjoy that (I think it's abhorrent, but I'm not the one in charge.)

I personally also loathe AI and synthetic media for a variety of reasons, but it's not my decision; the filter does what I want so I'm satisfied enough. But the bottom line is, whether it's included on the UMD or not is not a question of censorship.

AI fckg sucks! We use our $, time have fun post pics, make scenes, cleanup the mess, shower offput everything away.

I've spent the better part of maybe 6 months experimenting with different combinations of AI tools, prompts, pre-processing of pics, different angles/lighting/cropping, different substances, etc. to at least have the best chance of generating something halfway decent. It's surprisingly difficult for instance to generate a decent pie throwing with the tools I've seen/used. I would definitely say there is an "art" to it, and if you know what you're doing you'll get something that's 95% passable/realistic but still detectable as AI if you're looking close enough.

The problem is there's way too much low-effort generations flooding out the real or at least actual decent AI stuff, and the people creating it seem to think it's amazing when it's really not. The term is "AI Slop" (pun intended). I wouldn't mind seeing the "good" AI generations, but knowing what I know now, it usually requires starting with a real pic/video but then you're crossing into some really dubious ethical concerns re: consent of the subjects #nobueno

TL;DR agreed, real stuff is infinitely better

A.I. puts people out of work. It cheapens the time and energy real people spent honing their craft. Learning to film, learning to edit, learning to pose, cleanup tricks etc. Without creativity we will become simple minded people incapable of independent thought. People too lazy to develop the skillsets needed to make sets are who turn to A.I. There are enough tutorials out there for free that can teach you how to do almost anything. All it takes is your time and commitment.

It's absolutely a question of censorship. Wanting content removed for all because you disagree with it is censorship.

I've just never been a fan of book burning. And I'm not even really a fan of AI content.

A "bad take" in my view would be telling other adults what they should be able to see or not because I feel a certain way about things.

Personally I don't like it. It's boring, too clean and clear cut. There is no joy, it's just soul less, like looking into Elon Musk's eyes. AI might make the world better, but when it comes to art, it's completely stupid in my mind. The most ridiculous thing I saw in a long time was a girls riding dinosaurs through a car wash on a wetlook web site.

I see myself as a 'real creator' (and making these scenes i my livelihood) and I 100% don't want to see it banned.

My honest take is I enjoy quite a lot of it and some is brilliant and gives me inspiration. I also enjoy reading wam stories a lot, and I view them as very similar.

For me, neither of them are a substitute for 'real' wam, but both of them are more than possible to enjoy or get ideas from, in the absence of the real thing. They can brining to life things that would be impossible in real life and I love that.

Nothing stays the same forever so it feels almost redundant too discuss banning it or stopping it. It's here and loads of people enjoy it. But, as mentioned, I don't actually think it will stop many people from wanting to see real wam, again I think the stories are a good analogy.

I think Trouso's points are spot on: I think AI is having far less of an impact on sales than the age restriction / content restriction laws happening everywhere. But even if I am wrong, I don't think banning it on UMD would be the answer. Loads of people enjoy it, and some are doing some great creative work with it (same with the stories btw). The filters mean people who don't want to see it, don't have to. That seems the perfect solution from my p.o.v

Lots of people do some really creative work with AI and, as mentioned above, for me it's akin to the written stories. A complement to, not a substitute for the real thing.

I think UMD's current system of requiring "synthetic" tags is close to perfect, and so far the filter is pretty sharp. That being said, I second the sentiments of having default accounts filter out AI content so that way it favors non-synthetic creators and if a user prefers/chooses to seek out AI content, they still can.

Overall though I think the technology has its place (except gen-AI and "vibe" coding), especially when used in a way that isn't outright cognitive outsourcing. Mainly precise use cases like data analysis.

I just wish that the people who peddled it or drank the Kool-Aid from Musk/Altman/Amodei were more considerate of: environmental costs, sweeping unemployment, erasing entire career fields, stealing creative works for training data, spiking hardware/data costs, or acknowledging that it's not actually an "AI" rather a sophisticated LLM with generative capabilities following prompts.

Recently there have been two posts from users that heavily utilized AI to create pie clips, and they claimed that it had ruined their interest in the fetish. Already people are finding out how fleeting the technology is. If your sad about losing your boners already youre going to be sadder when you lose your job, affordable energy, and drinking water.

As an artist, and a longtime lurker here, the AI use has me devastatingly depressed, as it does in the rest of life. Especially in such a fetish scene built around something that's so...human in its messiness, it's sad and depressing to see facsimiles of 'women' being forced to smile in this haunted way that AI produces so easily, on a forum that has a lot of members who struggle with connecting through this fetish.

It also just reduces this down to a market of cheap carnality for a technology which is causing serious existential collapse on many levels, and this is another thing that for so long I felt like this forum was just uncritically engaging with and im elated to see this post. Thank you for making it

I don't think AI is killing off the site I think it compliments it. I think the biggest threat to all niche "interests" was Onlyfans and the internet as a whole.

Pre Onlyfans and the online success stories of Onlyfans models buying houses from proceeds etc costs were reasonable, a relative term I know. But now online models can make so much more just stripping on webcam in home studio without having the clean up.

I make no effort to hide I'm into extreme wam no not manurefetish style wam, more youbenshikkk and alina paint style wam. But that content only works because they are, in the case of youbenshikkk a genuine enthusiast who offers niche content from bitumen to plaster and in the case of Alina paint a wife who shares content. I'm not aware of other females offering this content. Both on X to see FOC vids.

Back to AI and my point. AI gives me the options to generate my own images which will never get anywhere else so I use it but does it affect my interaction here? No because there are some ladies that like the fantasy but that's all it is, a fantasy to chat about and never do. Mention to models from the start what you like and no I'm not doing that but I'll do this which is nowhere near what you ask for but still has premium tag.

Mainstream wam and AI still isn't a threat because the model builds a rapport with her customer base. Models age the same as us and I notice older models are posting less and I don't know if this is because I haven't age verified or because they have given up/don't have the energy. There has been a slowdown on posts on umd I think but happy to be proved wrong.

Also there is only so often I want to see the same model in the same mess just a different shade of it, again AI gives me a choice. But also AI gives the creator the choice to create exactly what he wants no compromises apart from data being mined and current limitations of AI.


AI is flagged and usually obvious so I don't see a threat other than it will in the near future become a lot better. As for the coldness and clinical atmosphere that's no different to a real model. At the end of the day it's a cash transaction for someone with a passing interest in the fetish to monetise it. Again that's why I miss wives, girlfriends etc where the love and interest is obvious messyfun video "cyberspace" scenes shows this however I get that the behaviour of some individuals and the fact that you are never forgotten on the internet means these are almost none existent nowadays.

I'd like to share my views on AI in WAM.

First of all, I MUCH prefer real human-produced wam videos using actual human women with emotions, reactions, expressions, etc. You just can't replace the real thing.

I regularly purchase scenes from real producers on here, and have quite a collection of purchased, human-created wam from many producers.

I do create AI wam videos though and here is why:

1. I have very specific tastes that are hard to find. I've been told 'just book customs' but when I have, they have not been close enough to what I've requested, or the model was obviously not into it, or for whatever reason, it failed to live up to what I had requested. Also I can't afford customs. The scenes for sale may occasionally have a few moments of what I'm wishing to see, but for the most part I get bored. (No fault of the producers, it's about my tastes in wam and what I prefer to see)

2. I prefer nude wam, or close to it, but not X rated stuff. R is as far as I need to go. But I find either fully-clothed wam or X-rated wam/porn with not much in between.

3. I love to see huge amounts of mess, enough to practically swim in. It's just not practical for a producer to create such messes. Mud is good, but when a woman is in deep mud, we no longer see her. A deep pool of something translucent would be my favorite scenario, as we see her under the mess.

So for these reasons, I began to create my own AI videos, and no, it's not five minutes to type a basic prompt and it spits out a slop video. Anyhow, as an example, I created a mud video called 'Mudslide' where a mudslide basically wipes out a city, but of course nobody gets hurt and everyone is well-insured. So it's a win where women get surprised by large amounts of mud, sometimes in their homes, or at a business or on the street. I use AI for scenes like this because they would be IMPOSSIBLE to create with real people unless someone had millions of dollars to spend on it.

Case in point. I wanted my avatar to poke a little fun at one of the policies here. (which I take very seriously) We are well aware that the UMD allows no wam with minors. So I made my avatar to represent wam with miners. (different spelling, different meaning) But I could not find a 'real' image to depict it. My avatar is actually a mini-AI video. (click it to go to my profile, then click it again to see the animation) I used AI only when the real thing was impossible for me to find.

My complaint with AI material: A lot of people creating AI videos and images are doing what humans can do better. The pie-in-the-face, the gunge tank, wetlook, etc. ALL of these scenarios can and have been created by real producers using real human models for years. We have a ton of existing content out there to choose from. Why not support them and see human reactions rather than imitate (often poorly) what has already been done, and done very well? I'll never understand the reasoning behind someone wanting to use AI to create something humans have done better.

Lastly, I think the system of flagging and choosing to opt out of AI content is brilliant on the UMD. The word 'synthetic' stands out clearly on every AI post and so it's a matter of choice for anyone looking for content. The ability to block it is powerful and a great idea.

So I will continue to support producers when I see content that floats my boat, as I will also continue to create content with AI which would probably never be made otherwise. Would I prefer to see real women playing in a three-foot deep pool of strawberry jam mixed with golden syrup? Of course, but what producer would invest thousands or more to make such a video? So for me, AI fills a gap where fantasy can become a visual - though not human-made, it's the next best thing when the story involves unrealistic scenarios - not as good as the real thing, yet better then just living in my imagination.

The problems UMD might be having might be because of the Las Vegas event taking up time of some of the most prolific posters.

Or a decrease in participation might be because of the attitude embodied in the name of this discussion: "AI IS Murdering Real Mess ON UMD Ban IT Now!" Complete intolerance. Its a problem in general in the USA and the rest of the world too these days. Its not enough to dislike something. What I dislike must be stopped, must be banned and the people doing it must be punished and humiliated.

I agree with everything Bobographer said in the post above this one. I too buy a great deal of real person WAM when it ticks off my checkboxes or even gets close. Othertimes I have to make do with what I and AI make myself.
