Pretty much because we can't get Cool whip or store bought cream pies. I am guessing the amazing pies you use are.mostly Cool whip
Tesco's used to sell it in the World Foods isle, but it was very expensive.
I tend to use vegan cream now as there is no smell. If I can't get that and use dairy cream, then I have a cool shower to wash it off so it doesn't curdle and start to smell.

Guess it's just marketing. We have our own tastes here so a new product has to compete. Add this with it not being made in the UK means it has to be shipped, adding to the cost. Cool whip might not be to our tastes, or too expensive so they just didn't bother trying to launch it here.
As for pies; total guess and anecdotal, but maybe the English more into cakes as a dessert. Plenty of those in the isles. Pies might be something we make occasionally so again, not worth the space in the shops. (I eat way more cake than pie).

I know - its a real shame - I would love to try it! I remember seeing the pies in Canada and dreaming away in the aisles about what fun I could have with those and some of the shop assistants! Cool whip is something I would love to see here. We do have some stuff but nothing like the cream pies you have over the pond. Mind you we do have ready made and cheap trifles - they are a lot of fun!
Best thing I've found yet is real cream whipped up in a bowl beforehand. Nice and thick, sticks to the face well but the smell does tend to linger a bit. Not a fan of the squirty cream from a can,it seems a bit limp, for want of a more descriptive phrase.
I would put this mix up against proper whipped cream especially the custard one
