I just wanted to say this has been a chaotic and painful 2 months for many but especially those on this site from ukraine since the war started. I don't think many expected that the people of Ukraine would put up such a valiant and nothing less of legendary struggle to stay free, my sympathy goes out to the people on this site who have had to flee their country to escape the war that has torn their it apart the better part of the last 8 years culminating in February.
Ambulances for Ukraine Organizers from the T-car Mutant Vehicle and Magic Forest crew teamed-up with a Dutch nonprofit to upgrade and transport ambulances to Kyiv, Ukraine. They donated their entire 2022 mutant vehicle budget to the project. The Dutch nonprofit "Zeilen van Vrijheid (Sails of Freedom), is a grassroots humanitarian organization founded following the invasion of Ukraine.
To Date:
Sails of Freedom delivered 26 ambulances and one fire truck to Ukraine in March and early April. They are shifting their focus to pick-up trucks for relief efforts. Burners have funded at least three of these vehicles and completed a $60,000 fundraiser. 80 metric tons of primarily medical humanitarian aid material has been sent over with the retrofitted ambulances. 50+ volunteers from countries around the globe have donated time, skills and money to this self-organizing volunteer group. Blast me for sounding arrogant and naive, but - can't anybody do something about this bastard Vladimir Putin? (Ok... yes.. totally rhetorical question. You don't have to explain why. I am just venting frustration.)
I mean as far as I can tell, he is THE ONLY one who wants this war. I can find NOBODY else - neither individual nor nation - that wants this war or can come up with any justification for it.
Not to state the obvious, but, isn't the CIA or SOME other country's spy agencies working on Putin "having a little accident"?
My Ukrainian sister-in-law (now US citizen since 2007) can't return home to her family in Kharkov.

Thing is assassinations are easier said than done, especially someone as paranoid as putin. And reports are that the past 2 years of pandemic have made his paranoia grow further. And even if it worked if there was the slightest trace to link your country it would mean war and likely a nuclear one.
There aren't a lot of options that dont suck to be frank sanctions can be very potent in the long run but the sucky part is it can and does affect the small minority of innocent Russians who oppose the war.
unfortunately it's really the only semi fool proof way to cause popular opinion to turn and perhaps overthrow the current regime from within without a all out thermonuclear world war.
#ChefsForUkraine Latest: Over 16 million meals served and 8 million pounds of food delivered to families across Ukraine The invasion of Ukraine has now entered its third month, and WCK continues to expand our efforts to support the brave and resilient Ukrainian people. Millions of families have been forced to flee their homes as other live in basements underground, staying safe as bombs fall on their neighborhoods. The attacks have not slowed, and as the war shifts east and south, WCK teams are delivering meals to newly liberated cities and stockpiling food in areas under constant attack.
With your help, we have served more than 16 million meals and have teams active in 110 cities and towns in Ukraine. We have also built a logistics network of delivery vans, trucks, trains, and warehouses throughout the country, delivering over 8 million pounds of food to families--sometimes in areas completely cut off due to fighting and near the Russian border.
Kharkiv--Ukraine's second largest city--is bombed daily as Russian troops continue to advance toward it. Apartment buildings we deliver food to are often hit, and a hospital we serve north of the city was heavily damaged by artillery shells. One of our WCK restaurant partners in Kharkiv was preparing meals when a missile hit across the street. The attack destroyed the Yaposhka kitchen, and four staff went to the hospital with burn injuries.
WCK's Nate was nearby when the attack happened and visited the injured team members in the hospital. Their spirits were strong--Yulia, pictured on the right beside Nate, shared that she was eager to get back to the kitchen. The rest of Yaposhka's team quickly got all salvageable food and equipment out of the damaged building and was back cooking in a new location within two days!
This incredible, heroic dedication is something we see every day across Ukraine. The #ChefsForUkraine team is now thousands of Ukrainians strong, including hundreds of restaurants cooking for shelters, hospitals, and more. José visited one WCK restaurant, Moderna, this week in Dnipro. Anastasia runs the location where her team cooks and delivers tens of thousands of meals each day.
Despite threats of increased bombings and a missile attack on a residential building in Odesa, Ukrainians still came together to celebrate last weekend's Easter holiday with all the traditions possible. WCK teams across the country and in neighboring Poland prepared special meals, baked sweet treats, and painted eggs for the festivities!
At a train station in Kyiv on Sunday, we met two-year-old Poleena. Her family was on their way to Germany, with her father staying behind. Her mother told us, "She has never left Sumy, and these last few weeks she has gotten wide-eyed and quiet. Here, she plays with all the other children, she is smiling again!"
WCK teams will continue working every day to get freshly prepared meals and ingredients for cooking to people across Ukraine, as well as families sheltering outside the country. The situation changes daily, so we will keep adapting to new needs. https://mobile.twitter.com/WCKitchen https://www.instagram.com/wckitchen/

But Putin ALREADY showed how easy assassinating people - i.e. KILLING them - is because he just rolled into Ukraine and DID it. He assassinated thousands of Ukrainians already.
Also, I notice how ILLOGICAL UMD mods are for NOT deleting my comment advocating murder/killing/assassination/moving atoms around - whatever you want to call it - of Vladimir Putin.
So have a nuclear war. Putin already started this for no reason. We should pull the trigger first. You just said, and I agree, we all agree, all options suck, innocent people and nonhuman animals, too, will die, on both sides: innocent Russians, innocent Ukrainians, innocent NATO forces.
Even a nuclear dirty war: conventional bombs loaded with plenty of radioactive waste.

I think we are all behind the people of Ukraine, having been to both Kiev and Moscow they are very different people. I found the Russian people very rude and arrogant whereas the people in Kiev were very friendly.
How do we react to our Russian wammers on here, boycott them or support them, after all its not them who invaded Ukraine its the tyrant called Putin. I have spoken to one lady on here from Moscow who is wonderful and I see another model who is selling stuff has changed her location!
I wish the war in Ukraine can come to a peaceful resolution because seeing bombed out and damaged houses and buildings is a image that no one likes to see and once it ends, I would expect prices of goods and supplies worldwide will start to go down. I pray for everyone to be safe in Ukraine and hope the rebuilding process to start soon. Sports wise since the war began after the Winter Olympics, I think the various International Sports Federations as well as the International Olympic Committee and International Paralympic Committee has handled the situation as best as it can by banning athletes from both Russia and Belarus from competing Internationally and I would not be surprised if both the IOC and IPC to ban both Russia and Belarus from the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. I do feel some compassion for those Russians who are protesting against this war and I feel that their voices are not being heard enough in my view.
