easy_as_ here. I am organising a meet-up that I used to run a little while ago.
It was simply called ' The London Meet ' and there may be many people here who remember it from those days. As such, it was just a social event for likeminded people to meet up and have a drink with each other.
In conjunction with The Sploshcars . . . I thought it would be an opportunity to have a drinks based social event afterwards. As described above. This is an event to drink and chat with each other. This is a vanilla event. There is no ' after-party ' This is an event to meet other people from the forum/ scene in a pub. As I mentioned, this is a revisiting of an event I ran a little while ago. The word ' little ' is doing a lot of heavy lifting here . . . but that's not important right now !
So, if you fancy a pint or a short of your favourite beverage and a chat with similarly interested Wammers/Sploshers, in civvies, here is the important bit, the details :-
Anyone is welcome to come along and it is not dependent on having gone to The Sploshcars. If you just want to come along for the social event that is great, the more the merrier !

to those attending or thinking of attending, I have tried to reserve some tables but so far this has not been possible.
However, to that end, to make it as easy as possible to find where we are, I will, as mentioned, be wearing the shirt you see in my avatar, and in the picture below with me modelling the shirt itself !
If you cannot see us immediately in the front bar as you enter, there is a bar at the back to the right of the main bar. We may be there, it will depend on the day.
The shirt is reasonably easy to see and I shall be wearing it all afternoon/evening for any latecomers !
If we manage to reserve an area, I will update with a post tomorrow morning.

I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who made it to the pub for a drink and a get together yesterday !
It was great to meet new faces and old faces alike and I will look to make this a semi-regular gathering, in the way The London Meet was, maybe every few months or so.
That seemed to work before and maybe we can dust off the old format and take it round the block once again !
It was good to get the shirt out of retirement. I've missed it !
Once again, thank you for making it along, and just for the record, I think I counted over 20 people or thereabouts at the pub . . .
