Gilly Silly House is the main one I miss.

I remember when the UMD started as an email list, as well as all those sites you mention. And Chocolada's mess, where I first saw Messygirl. But for me the golden age was truly provided by Messygirl, starting with the Sara shoots, up until London Andrews and Tracy Jordan stopped showing up regularly.

There have certainly been other good times, more recently. But my WAM nostalgia considers that the Golden Age of WAM. In my opinion, RevSlymsford produced a sort of Silver Age, for me based on models like Maria and Pandora.

Crazy girls was one of my favourites back in the day.

They used to do live sessions and surprise the girls by getting them messy while they were chatting to people on line.

I always remember when they moved to Spain and had a hot bar staff girl. I suggested pouring baked beans over head, Brian went and got some from the kitchen for one of the other models to pour over her head. She was completely messed up in all sorts with even her knee high boots getting messed.

First time I ever googled "pie in the face" I found Messyfun (Rob Blaine's site) and Phoebe's site as her newest video was Vol 4 with her and Tracey's blonde/brunette video.

As far as I can remember their name was Wamkitty and they did nothing but fill kitty's knickers. I found them about the same time I was posting as Fillmypanties on yafro. There is a profile on here called Kitty which has their photos but isn't active on it anymore.

I was going to start a thread on WAMkitty. Iconic. Crazy Girls was a great site for its content, although fairly clunky in other ways - HTML, billing, and of course streaming was unheard of; if you subscribed to a show, you'd get one fuzzy, murky still every 60 seconds if you were lucky

I still have quite a few of the picture sets from those days. Brian (probably not so much the girls) was keen on a SERIOUS amount of mess in each session. Think it was about 2000/2001 that he moved to Spain - I remember the picture set he did from an eve of the millennium shoot and that was definitely still in Manchester - five girls, as I recall! Does anyone remember The Naughty Mucky Messers Club (TNMMC)? I lost most of my pics from them but I think the three girls below is from one of their sets (someone correct me if I'm wrong).

I saw a blurb about Splosh magazine in an issue of Skin Two. A couple of years later I stumbled across an issue while I was living in L.A. It was either at A.M.O.K. or Wacko books. Inside that magazine was a half-page ad for MessyFun; I remember it had a pic of Amanda (?) dressed as Catwoman emerging from a clay pit. I wrote away for the newsletter and ordered a couple of VHS tapes and that was it for me.

When it comes to MessyFun and the state of the internet in general in 1996 (when I had a shitty Apple and a 14.4. connection that would crap out without warning) is that I think when I saw the messyfun website, it happened to get updated like a week later, and then not again for like a year lol. The frustration my early-twenties self felt: isn't this supposed to update a lot more than this?

As for individual sites...I remember one that had screencaps of shows with WAM scenes, that would take literally all evening to download just a couple. The name Chocolada's Mess rings a bell. There was something like Crazy Girls that, in the early days of this forum, was a subject of controversy because it was based out of Europe and had younger-than-legit-models (or somethinglike that...does anyone else remember this?). And the first time I came across Japanese WAM sites, I think it was the MessyAngel site that had paint scenes beyond my imagination. Sadly never saw any of those actual videos as I was too scared to enter my cc information online at that point.

Loved Crazy Girls. Wish more of my tapes had survived. I regret only checking out a couple of the live streams. I recall being disappointed in the stream quality (I mean, for its time, it was probably as good as I should have expected), so didn't really bother checking out many of them.

And wow, I'd totally forgotten about The Naughty Mucky Messers Club. Good photography quality on that stuff, IIRC? (unless I'm conflating it with something else...)

I remember several of the sites mentioned, including Martin's WAM Site and Shokolada's Mess, which were part of the WAMSAT network that folded in early 2001ish? MessyGirl's very first site was on there too, I believe, along with Messy Chris' Art of Mudplay and a few others. One other I remembered was Rachel's Quality Erotic Gifts (QEG), which was run by a female student WAMmer who went MIA around 2000. Many of her pictures were probably lost to time as the site that hosted it had protection configs to prevent places like archive.org from saving snapshots of it.

CrazyGirls was one that I always had mixed feelings about. The site owner Brian always seemed slightly off-kilter; a few times a year rants would pop up on his site about him being 'harassed' by local law enforcement, likely due to the sometimes not-quite-above-board way he went about recruiting models and the fact that a few of them seemed to be under the legal age. At some point it devolved into him believing there was some sort of shady group of lawmen in a conspiracy to prosecute him in England and he was planning on moving to a country where his practices would be acceptable, or at least overlooked. The 'everyone is out to get me and it's their fault' attitude combined with not comprehending why hiring underage girls was wrong (he seemed chiefly interested in the 'appeal' factor that came along with a girl under the legal age), along with the paranoid nature of some of his news updates had always rubbed me the wrong way, and near the end it just got downright creepy. It wasn't long after he posted that he was pulling up roots that he decided to chuck in the towel, as I recall.

Interesting, I somehow missed all that (either never bothering reading stuff like news updates, or maybe I hadn't been tracking things later in the life of the productions). Sounds like some unfortunate details.

I think prior to the UMD, I remember a website called World Wide Wet, or something like that... Anyone remember this?

My gateway in was through mud & quicksand. I remember ogling pictures of Pippa in quicksand, and visiting Kaol's Ol' Sinking Hole - only to nearly fall out of my chair when "Help me! I'm sinking in quicksand!" screamed out of my computer speakers, followed by much paranoid rubber-necking around to see if anyone in the house heard that signal of my illicit web browsing. My first WAM crushes were on Shaun, Brandy, Daizy, and Kristine! Now I've been fortunate enough to have had my fair share of deep sinking experiences, and even got to try my hand at helping to make some quicksand fetish scenes.

Indeed, and I should have definitely noted in my earlier post and do so now, I am going off my memories of things he posted on his site 20+ years ago, and scuttlebutt that was zipping around on the odd mix of pre-modern UMD forums that had folks from the UK on them, so take some of that with a grain of salt. But I do remember feeling distinctly unnerved when I read some of the updates he posted.

When I first got interested in WAM? It was about 30 years until there *were* any "sites"!

I had read about Messy Fun & Splosh in some adult magazines (for those of a certain age, magazines are a compilation of actual shiny pages all bound together, with a cover, a back, and lots of pictures & articles inside! )

Like so many others, when I first got on the internet in 1996, I immediately typed in "pie in the face". I got a number of sites, including some that you all have reminded me of; of course, Messy Fun, Splosh, Phoebe (man, I LOVED Phoebe), NMMC, Crazy Girls** (I loved the massive, crazy messes the ladies got into), Piemagination, Messy Girl, Miss Messy (I think that was the name, I believe she was also known as "Ruthie"), Wamtec, Clown Julie, Pie Fight Girls, Fawn & her group of ladies, Maya and her ladies (from Canada, I believe, but I can't think of the name of her site), Lenny Sorge, and several more that I can remember bits & pieces of, but can't think of their names. I definitely remember Messy Mercedes, JD!

This thread really brought back some memories. And as some of you have mentioned, a lot of times there were big spaces between updates, waiting forever for one pic to download, and taking whatever was out there - no specialized niches-within-niches. I think that's why my interest in WAM is so broad; we got a little of everything in those days, and had to make do.

Regarding Crazy Girls, until 1997 the legal age for adult modeling in the UK was the same as the age of hetrosexual consent, 16. So pre-97, UK adult producers legally shot with models from 16 up. Back in the 80s it was normal to have 16 year old topless girls on Page 3 of national newspapers, famously Samantha Fox did her first topless shoot on her 16th birthday. As I remember the adult modelling age was raised to 18 in 1997, and then a new law in 2003 outlawed the older images, though I don't think anyone's ever been prosecuted for having old copies of The Sun.

As to The Good Old Days, no mention is complete without Rob Blaine and Messy Fun. Some of the finest scenes ever produced, with production quality we'll probably never see again.


Back in the late 90s there were a whole bunch of "directory" sites, plus lots of amateur sites which would each have a "Links" page that linked to other sites the owners liked - and there were also things called "Web Rings". Each site in a ring would have a block of code on its front page that allowed a visitor to move back and forth along the ring, or jump to a random site within it. They were used to link sites with similar themes together, I remember finding a lot of urbex sites that way. The UMD outlived all of them mainly because of MM's superb stewardship, in particular allowing the community to grow and largely self-manage, while still keeping one hand on the tiller. It's a tricky line to follow, too much laissez-faire and the trolls take over, too much rules-lawering and it ends up in a series of aggressive cliques. We as a community are very, very lucky to have MM and this site.

I shall begin on how I discovered my fetish in WAM started.

I remember watching a TV series when I was a kid (cannot remember which one), a beautiful Asian woman was pushed into a swimming pool. When she surfaced, I had the sensual feeling by looking at her soaking wet.

I started watching Baywatch then. Yasmine Bleeth and Mitzi Kapture were my favourite actresses then.

Then, I recalled seeing a comedy, a man and a woman were hiding under a table. When they were discovered, their faces were push into a creamy cake. I felt my heart beating very fast when I saw the lady's face completed obscured with whipped cream. I had no idea what show was it.

Subsequently, I paid attention to soap operas/movies/gameshows featuring women getting pied in their faces. One of the most memorable ones was the scene in Flinstones: Viva Rock Vegas whereby Roxie (played by Alex Meneses) received a large pie. I love her reaction upon getting creamed also.
