Hey guys. Based on occasional feedback, I think there are folks here who are male wam fans who want to only see male wam, and not coed content at all, but don't know about our Strict setting.
The old Male Wam forum always allowed coed content that you couldn't turn off, but now our current setup has a "Strict" gender feature. Enabling it, you should only see male wam in all the main forums (as well as the rest of the site).
You can read more about gender settings in our FAQ
Thanks for reiterating this however as I have personally told you before, not sure if anyone else has, the strict settings in preferences don't seem to work. Mine have been set that way for some time now and I still see the occasional female in forums. As for the rest of the site I see mostly females especially in advertisements and hardly come across a page that is strictly anything. Perhaps it still needs tweaking but if the theory is that this strict setting is to be such then either just mine isn't working or it needs touch up? But I DEFINITELY have had the strict setting checked off. Again thanks for the reiteration and this is just as fyi.

If you see any females in the forum while you have the Male / Strict setting on, please flag it, and I'll move the thread as soon as I can. I already get a lot of help from UMD members, and they don't miss too much!
Not everything on the site is filtered yet, but over the past year or so I've been making the filter affect new sections like user galleries, downloads, sites, wall, etc. It should get better as time goes on, but some things will probably never be filtered, such as the ads--Basically I've got no male ads to run! Also, the Strict setting only works on the forums for now, but should get better with time as well.
I probably missed the explanation, but why did you remove the Male Wam Forum? Seems like a much simpler and more effective solution. And it worked if you like both Male and Female WAM, so seems like everybody was satisfied.
