Does anyone have any good recipes to make homemade slime? I'm trying to make it with water, corn starch, flour and Food coloring. I boil the three on the stove until nice and thick and slimmy. Any other ideas greatly appreciated. Just set up a dedicated room in my house for gunging and want to chrissen it big. Room picture on my profile.

I'd keep well away from flour - you'll end up with hard to remove clumps which will mat your pubes so much you need to cut them away.

Corn starch/cornflour is the basis of custard. Boil that up with water and food coloring and your good to go.

Other than than, get some methylcelulose or similar and mix that up. Quicker and no cooling needed.

Try adding gelatin to the cornstarch/custard mix, makes for a weird wobble paint kind of effect when I did this.

Gotta love a nice WAM room!! Makes me miss mine... I guess I will just have to settle for destroying hotel rooms for now.... :thumbs:

Cake batter and elmers glue makes some wild slime I have been told... but yet to try it myself...

thanks for the ideas. I'm trying the water/corn starch with food color idea. seems to be working and you can adjust the thickness of what you want to play with. Found an interesting video on Nickelodeon on making slime from pudding, corn starch, and apple sauce. Will have to try that next.

Good old cake batter works just fine, Or shaving cream slime can be fun too!

Broke in the new gunge room last night with corn starch slime! Pics on my profile. Slime felt amazing! Im going to experiment with different slime recipies. Was not too thrilled with how the slime looked aesthetically on me. A little too clear looking. Going to try to make it more dense adding a few ingrediants. will also try adding non toxic florescent paint instead of food color to make the coloration more bold.

well, after some experiments with different substances, I came up with a very slimy, gooey, grunge that can be easily made and cheap. I mixed equil parts elmers glue and water with some white flour. Added food color for the classic green slime look. Very gooey and clings well to my fingers and leaves a elongated trail when it drips away. I only made a small amount in a bowl as a prototype. Will probably use this in larger quantities for my next session. I'm going to continue experimenting with this mix by adjusting the ingredient quantities. I believe the glue mixed in with the flour will prevent the clumping and matting as mentioned in SimonC's post (I've had that problem with flour and water once before already ).
