Personally I don't think it's realistic to try to date someone based on having a mutual fetish, especially when it's something uncommon like wam. However if finding someone who is at least somewhat open to your fetish is important then don't wait several years before bringing it up. In most of my relationships I have mentioned I'm into kinky sex once the relationship gets sexual. In most cases it wasn't a problem, however when my husband and I were dating he was a bit put off by that. It took him a long time to get comfortable with my kinks but since we were both very compatible on other levels we were willing to make it work. So don't get discouraged if you don't find someone who is really into wam right away.

I broke up with my last real girlfriend several months ago, and it was kinda similar... she really loved playing in the mud with me and got off on getting completely covered and having muddy sex outdoors. I know a lot of people will say "easier said than done," but I think you should always just come right out with it if you intend on having a sexual relationship with that person. That's what I did with Adam and it's definitely been worth it. If you can't be open with someone then there's no point.

Its really hard to say. My new girlfriend appears to be very interested in WAM, we may play a little tonight. I do imagine it would be a little different for a girl to talk to a girl about it rather than a guy bring it up to a girl.
