Happy St. Patrick's Day! While the weather has been less than ideal, we have been having fun making these sploshing shorts. And this shoot in particular marked a milestone for us. Last year Andi found an online restaurant supply business that sold food coloring by the gallon, finally burned through an entire gallon of green food coloring!
Thanks for sharing. It's nice to see the enthusiasm and joy you both seem to have doing these various photo sets and videos!
Here's a little banner I through together in your honor from various posts you've made for the hell of it. I have fun making these things, so hope you enjoy
Some Guinness was spilt on the barroom floor As the pub was shut for the night. Out of his hole crept a wee, brown mouse Who stood in the pale moonlight. He lapped up the frothy brew from the floor And back on his haunches he sat, And all night long you could hear him roar, "Bring on the goddamn cat!"
Super cute! You guys always have fantastic posts thank you for sharing your messy adventures
I HAD to look into food coloring by the gallon once you mentioned it! I love the idea (especially since we often use green and purple most) of the bulk purchase. Much appreciated!
Congrats for burning thru your first full gallon of food coloring. Here's to more gallons of food coloring over the next few years!

That slime is 1 gallon of milk, a little less than 1 gallon of water, 7 packs of vanilla instant pudding mix, and 1/2 cup of green food coloring. The first part of this video shows Andi making the slime:

Stupid question, but isn't it cold? I ended up getting 15 pies that were freshly made with instant vanilla, chocolate, and banana cream filling and was visibly shivering halfway through. Does the stuff handle sitting out for a little while ok without melting?

I am probably not the best person to ask, JD and I both run on the hot side. Our most recent post is a wet look I did where I jumped in a 40 degree Fahrenheit lake! It was shockingly cold of course, but I enjoyed it and warmed up quickly. If you are interested: https://umd.net/forums/andis-arctic-plunge When we are shooting videos in the non summer months we sometimes set out our milk for our pudding an hour or so in advance. We will just leave it in the kitchen. It seems to do fine and helps bring the pies to room temp. The whipped topping also seems to keep fairly well in room temp for about an hour or so. When we are outside in weather warmer than mid 70's it becomes a race against the clock. Pies seem to start melting as soon as we bring them out. Hope this is somewhat helpful, glad to hear that you celebrated Pi day as well. ~ Andi

Thank you!! I see more empty gallons in our Future. It's definitely the best WAM investment we've made. ~Andi
