For those of you who may not have been aware, porn star Christy Mack, who was savagely beaten by her ex-bf, MMA fighter "War Machine", started out as a fetish model for none other than Ariel Andrews. Here's a link to some of her WAM work.
A fund to help cover her medical expenses was started by industry members and links can be found all over Twitter and many mainstream news outlets. I would urge anyone with some extra cash to help out.
I'm fervently hoping that her attacker ends up being "shot while resisting arrest".
UPDATE: The bounty for his capture is now up to $20,000
Thanks for mentioning this, SoundGuy! I was not aware of the attack, and I didn't really remember her. Thanks for posting the 3 great sets that she did with/for Ariel! :lovestruck:
I never put two and two together that she ever did work for Ariel...she looks so different now.
I've got people I know in real life who are coming out to defend her abuser because he's a low-level MMA fighter, and so "she knew what she was getting into", or that her abuse doesn't matter "because she's a whore". Sickening. Just because she does sex work doesn't make the horrid reality of her abuse any less awful or give her abuser an excuse for his behavior.
First Robin Williams, and now this? Ugh, today is the worst. My thoughts go out to her and her loved ones.
I just read both of their profiles on Wikipedia. The guy has a history of abuse, and has already been to prison twice. Dangerous guys like this that enjoy getting into barfights scare the shit out of me. This repeat offender should be shot like a dog. At the very least, I bet Ariel is right--With his history of violence, he will be going away for a long time, given the seriousness of this beating. What a fucking freak. I'll keep my fingers crossed for Christy; I hope she makes a full and speedy recovery.
Believe it or not, these guys tend to get off rather easily in court; from probation to maybe 1 to 2 years in jail. You don't need to look further than Chris Brown - 5 years of probation for beating Rhianna.
The victims rarely testify, often backing out for fear of retribution.
He won't get off easy, it's his third strike plus he went into hiding from the cops. After reading what this scumbag did, words cannot express my anger. Then I just saw that video of him joking about killing her in a previous interview. I hope they play that in court.

Yeah, but Chris Brown is actually rich and actually famous.
I was reading up on another forum and it was surprising to me the number of people with a dismissive attitude about this, because she is a porn star mainly. I don't get that. My personal views, which I mainly keep to myself, certainly do not cater to feminism and would probably offend overly politically correct people, but how anyone can justify, rationalize or dismiss what that man did to that young woman is beyond me. Being a porn star doesn't mean you don't have rights or somehow deserve to be treated poorly. I honestly can not understand how anyone could think otherwise.
This War Machine guy, he sounds like a real piece of work. As someone already pointed out, his history is littered with almost constant fighting, assaults, hurting people and such. I really am surprised he wasn't in jail already and I will be very disappointed if this guy isn't given a 20+ sentence when he's eventually found. This was at best rape, at worst attempted murder (I say that from a legal standpoint). Either way it should be a stiff sentence, even in California.
Btw, guys, this is why some people are in favor of the Second Amendment. Next time someone wants to tell you that "nobody needs a gun", "just call 911" or that "guns serve no purpose", try to remember that there are unfortunately people in the world like Jon Koppenhaver. People who do not respect the law, people who are capable of horrible violence, etc...

Characterizing MMA fighters as "jacked up muscleheads" is just as bad as characterizing women who make porn as "stupid whores". This guy does happen to be a douchbag who deserves to be in jail but not all muscular men are aggressive asshole who beat women.
I hope she recovers quickly and he stays locked up for a long time. There is no excuse for that kind of violence against anyone regardless of gender.
NO man should beat a woman senseless, no matter the circumstances surrounding the disagreement & I hope this so-called "Man" gets what he deserves. Since it is his third strike, anything less than 30 years would not be doing justice. This "Man" IMHO deserves life in prison without parole or execution. As for Christy, I hope and pray that she makes a full & speedy recovery from her injuries & that she lives a happy and healthy life once again.

... and people like him would be just as likely to have killed you with your own gun previously or possibly wrestle it away from you and use it on you. The fact is having a gun in one's home makes all residents of that home FAR more likely to die from gun related injuries.
... aaaand it might be why some people are so in favor of few if any limits on gun ownership (which already kills tens of thousands every year), but thats not why it was there in the first place.
Oh my god... Thank God she's alive. That's absolutely horrible. She's so brave to even share the story, I can't even imagine. This poor thing is so young. I really hope she gets the care she needs and he gets what he deserves! Fucking jackass.
I didn't know her beyond her work online (and her kickass fleshlight campaign) but after reading that I couldn't help but cry. After all he did to her, fearing for her LIFE because he literally was about to kill her, she has to run naked through the streets after midnight and knock on strangers' doors until someone answered to take her to the hospital. The sheer terror she experienced, the desperation, she is SO BRAVE. Fuck if this woman doesn't deserve a medal. The fact that she is using her story to help other people, sharing something that it would take most of us years of therapy to even acknowledge, is just pure guts. She has been and always will be a badass.

I hope someone finds him, but I fear (from reading an interview with him) that Dog might be in this mostly to boost his own career. I'm sure he disapproves of things like this, as any sane man does, of course.

He was asked by Christy's family (thru a mutual friend involved in MMA fighting) to take the case. One of the guys from the Pawn Stars TV show added $10k to the bounty and I suspect a substantial amount to her medical bill fund at the same time. Regardless of the motivation of either man, it amounts to high-profile attention being focused on the issue of domestic violence, and hopefully the end result is that this chickenshit punk gets captured and sent to prison for a very long time.
