Hi all, Obviously with the current situation I won't be running any events for the foreseeable (and obviously, nobody should be travelling or going to the pub anyway!). Hope you all stay safe and well!

Understandable, but I'm curious now. Based on what you said it sounds like you still have some pubs that are open. Every single bar/pub/tavern I can find over here, at least in SE Pennsylvania is shut down. Actually, there is no way to get hard liquor here at all right now.

Pubs haven't been ordered to close but we've been told not to go to them, which sucks for the establishments and eateries and bars because they can't claim on their insurance for loss of custom til it's government ordered. Seems like it could be soon though

Sadly most pubs and other establishments insurance policies don't even cover forced government shutdowns as their insurance policies do not have infectious disease cover. Whilst this is a bummer either way, the best we can do is socially distance at these establishments so they can continue to trade for as long as possible and return to them as soon as practically possible. Failing that we could have a very very very long lock in.

and they can adapt to survive and offer online digital vouchers, takeaway and delivery so they can be socially responsible and still have some income and we don't have to risk accidentally spreading or contracting
Doing vouchers is so easy with something like selz. I've been trying to encourage local businesses to do it. Fingers crossed they start realising. Many local places are doing delivery now which has been nice to see. And some pubs offering to fill your own containers for takeaway beer
edit: and merch too I'd buy the heck out of merch for my local deli just to support it if they did it

I'd say about 20% of pubs/restaurants etc in central London were open when we went out to get groceries at about 8pm. It was insanely quiet on the streets, barely anyone about. So pubs likely won't be open anyway!

I keep hearing lockdown rumours for Friday. London should be real interesting soon!
