________ must be trying to hard when fetish porn starts to appear on the site. While everyone is at it, there are dare I say 3 MELANIA vids up there too. Anybody want to add anything else?
Why buy it. I think I have seen it on ________ just like mine, messygirl, mrs bee, big sam, anglefan, slapstick stuff, wamtec etc
That is why there is not much new material out there
Lenny
So your solution is to draw more attention to the shit ton of free videos people can steal? And on a totally unrelated post of someone actually looking to buy a video?
So going back to Rich's point, how do you get this stuff taken down since it sounds like its totally unauthorized and the more this happens the less likely people are going to be willing to make videos and customs i th future!
1] get a real lawyer (i have two) 2] have him/her write up a cease and desist order 3] threaten (and mean it) to sue for the current market cost of the video times the number of views...this is lost revenue -- even if the argument is that the viewer would not have purchased the video, the fact is they did watch it, without permission or paying...it's similar to how the recording industry went after napster/music file sharing users for violating the DMCA...
Sorry folks, but you can purchase digital material (and even share it, covertly, with your friends, off -line)...but the moment you download it, for free, or post it on a commercial site where others can download it for free (or replicate it and try to sell the copies), you violate my copyright and break the law....and (in the words of cowboy lawyer Gerry Spence) "...you're gonna pay..."
If you are not willing to do this (play hardball) then you will just have to accept that your stuff will get stolen and distributed to fans for free. Plus, this is why artists are usually poor (unless you are an anarcho-communist and are plotting the demise of capitalist society).

Why not, if we have a wealth of knowledge and standard documentation setup a reporting page, we can then post/report and this goes to the producer to fill in and issue the template?
The only way to stop this is to have a united front, constancy, and be relentless.
I get tips all the time from UMD visitors, and I relay them to the producers and put in removal requests myself when I have time. But in the past couple of years I've started keeping a list of offending sites and links, plus links to their respective takedown pages. That's on the "Store" page for all UMD Producers to see (not for the public). I'd like to set up a more formal way to report these things, but I think there should be an incentive so people actually do it more.

Yeah, no offense to Lenny, who did great work for decades....
...But when you're leaving the building, no need to burn it down on your way out.

Yup. I think Bozo is literally the only one in his own thread caring about the Phoebe video. First time that "Phoebe R" and "Neil E" have both popped up in the same sentence without anyone flying off the handle.
And yes, I'm hoping that the DCMA notices will do their job. Because I'm pretty sure none of us have the $$ to hire the kind of lawyer who could successfully sue PornHub and win. (Sorry WJ.)
^^ It's not my business either, of course, but I'd be curious too. WJ, I assume you have the lawyers for non-WAM-related reasons?
Like, no offense, but I know how videos I released 6 months ago sell (Spoiler: Not well!).... And I'm constantly putting out new clips, so it keeps new people coming to the site (and sometimes buying old vids that are cheaper than the new ones). So I can't imagine you're doing a lot of business when your newest videos are more than 7 years old now. (And I'm fairly sure the Tabitha one is old enough to drive, and possibly vote.)
Jason / Rich: yes, you got me...my two lawyers are a friend and a former boss (which I remained friendly with)...they also taught me how to be legally "threatening" even when I didn't have the energy or time or money to actually litigate...but having been through a real litigation (non-wam-related) previously over ownership rights (creative material/ IP), I learned a great deal about copyright infringement law...
Truth be told, litigation is a royal f-ing pain...but one has to be prepared...however, I mostly just politely ask the offending pirate to take down the video (as with a recent clip form my Splat!TV video) so as to avoid future costly litigation (and that includes legal fees if they lose, don't forget)..they usually comply within a couple of days....I realize these are usually just young guys (college kids) who just admire the clip/my work (although most don't credit me or the source)...and want to have some "content" to upload to their YT channel...which I understand.

I'm not knocking what you're doing, but it cost me $1500 for a no fault divorce from a guy I know personally. That was just the cost for the court filings and paperwork, His cut was like $300. He only did it that cheap because he knew us and knew there was no real "work" to do because we weren't fighting over anything. Seriously, what is your cost ratio to WAM income on this?
As a real artist, and someone who works 40+ hours at a day job, there is no way I can afford a real lawyer. I try to take down videos I find on other sites when I notice them, but I rely heavily on the awesome people of UMD tipping me off to pirated videos. You guys are all awesome.

Speaking of pirated, a site called VK tends to receive a lot of pirated stuff, even things from some wammers on here. Be warned though as some really disturbing stuff pops up on there sometimes
