Jilly's Slime Recipe
It seems simple enough; the ingredients, that is. But it's the process that makes it turn out so well! This stuff is super-fickle so if you have any issues with it whatsoever, feel free to message me. I've written this out as well as possible because it's REALLY not a precise process at all! You can always use your favorite green slime recipe to have fun with me, but if you want to feel exactly what I was feeling, here's how I did it
-1 bag guar gum powder*
-Box of Borax (NOT BORIC ACID) you'll only need a couple tablespoons, so buy the smallest box available. It's pretty cheap. I use "20 Mule Team"
-LOTS of hot water
-Hand mixer
-Food coloring gel of your choice, my choice was green, obviously
-Tub of whipped topping
Fill a very large mixing bowl with water as hot as the tap will give, add a bunch of food coloring gel, then put your hand mixer on low and SLOWLY add a spoonful the guar gum into the water, so slowly that you only have a light dusting of the powder over the top. "Follow" the powder with the hand mixer so there are absolutely NO clumps or lumps in it, and once it's properly-dissolved, slowly add another spoonful of powder to the water. Remember, this is a VERY slow process, so don't try to speed it up or you'll end up with a ton of lumps. Keep repeating this until the water has reached the consistency of baby oil. Then add a couple of spoonfuls of whipped topping (ie. Cool Whip) until it reaches the opacity you desire. Don't add TOO much because the sugar in it will break down the compounds that make it thick later on. Trust me. This entire process will take about 15 minutes or more.
Place the mixture in a bucket. Mix together a couple of tablespoons of Borax in a large glass of HOT water and mix it until it dissolves as well as possible. It probably won't totally dissolve, but it will still work. Add a single splash of this mixture to the bucket of "guar water," and start to mix it with your hands by lighting "grasping" the mixture and pulling up. Continue doing this until it's thick and stretchy. This part will take about 5-10 minutes. You can also stick both hands down deep into the bucket (yes! Fun!) and roll your hands over and under one another, creating kind of a paddling motion to mix it up. Do NOT use a hand-mixer in this process or it won't end up stringy. It'll just be a clumpy mess.
If after this process the mixture is TOO THICK, add a cupful of HOT water and mix by hand until it's the consistency you like. It should stick to your skin but also still be stretchy and slimy. If the mixture is TOO THIN, add a splash of the Borax water then mix by hand again. Be very patient because if you don't take the time to mix it by hand before you add more ingredients, it may end up too thick or too thin all over again.
Note: You can even omit the color and the Cool Whip and make it transluscent, but it won't be crystal-clear like clear glue slime (now THAT stuff is pretty cool too... Close to this slime, but a LOT stickier...)

*you can find this at Whole Foods or some Kroger superstores, I bought an entire POUND of it from sweetwise.com which is based out of Nashville, TN. The bags at Whole Foods and Kroger are 8 oz. and cost just as much as the Sweetwise stuff. You will NOT need the entire bag at all, trust me. Leftovers! Yay! It's about $15

Yes, I tried to be pretty clear with my instructions hehe. All I need is a teacher's uniform and a ruler for spankings! Yes, it's a little played-out, but there's a reason why it keeps getting done You know you're also one of my favorite people, so when YOU approve of something I do, it's extree-special Glad I haven't bored you yet

I PROMISE this isn't laziness on my part, it's actually so you'll get the most precise quantities possible because any time I've made the clear glue slime I haven't really measured So look up "glue slime recipe" online so you can get how much you'll actually need. I'll just say this though:
-you'll need clear school glue
-just like the original slime recipe, the ingredients are INSANELY easy (glue, water, borax) but it's the finessing you have to do to make sure it turns out just right. So use REALLY hot water, make sure you mix the glue in with either a whisk or a hand mixer in that super-hot water and do it FAST. Don't put the glue in and let it sit (which this is actually easier with the clear glue than the white) and generic glue actually doesn't work as well, I've found....

So follow their instructions, but you may mess up a batch, so be careful! Their recipes usually don't call for as much water as you'll need, so I'd say to double whatever they say as far as water goes. This recipe is a lot like the slime I'm making in this video, but it's a lot stickier, harder to clean off, and it doesn't stretch as much. It looks similar, but the consistency is slightly different, but you'll notice the difference. It's also not as slippery, so if you're wanting to use it in a *ahem* sexual manner, it's not going to work as well. I'm just biased toward this slime, but I'll be the first to say that guar gum isn't super-easy to find all the time, so I'm never going to hate on glue slime

It might seem like people are purposefully elusive about the slime recipes, but in all honesty it's because a lot of us have just had a lot of trial and error moments (we worked on the recipe for like 5 months) and we don't want people to waste money or have to flush money down the toilet --literally! I remember chucking a few buckets of that stuff when we messed up on it XD
