At least we haven't been brainwashed by this evil mind controlling cult. IT'S A LOAD OF FUCKING BOLLOCKS.!!!!!!!
So you're right and every scientist in the world is wrong? Seriously? Next you'll be telling us the Earth is flat, the moon landings were faked, and birds are really government surveilance drones.
All debate is over, it's bloody obvious climate change is real - I can see that every time I go out to shoot mud scenes, and every winter when there's hardly any snow or ice compared to what it was like in the 1970s and 80s when I was a kid. Not to mention the runaway wildfires in the US and Australia.
Every scientist who queries the cult is censored and silenced, it's a huge conspiracy to control the masses, big business see it as an opportunity to sell costly green alternatives we don't need, politicians see it as an opportunity to impose more taxes, it's like something from Nazi Germany, we have been having extreme weather since the year dot, it attracts loons, cranks, professional protesters and the extremist political fringe.
I DON'T GIVE THE TINIEST OF TINY SHITS ABOUT THIS RUBBISH

It's so easy to tell the difference between an intellectual argument and an emotional cry of despair. The real enemy wants us all to do the latter. Let's not.
Out here, in the big bad world of two years of unemployment, followed by a low paid, minimum wage job, you are more concerned with keeping afloat, getting from one pay day to the next, and putting food on the table, than with this airy fairy middle class hobby politics shite
The climate change cult is bullshit, I get angry because people have been brainwashed by it. It reminds me of one of those crackpot American religions like the Scientologists or Moonies.
No one will change my mind on this, and I won't change anyone elses, so let's just leave it and concentrate on WAM, which is why we're here.
I see Miss Giaconda was 'entarted' partly on her bosom...Let's imagine that ol' Leonardo, having finished painting his model (her real name being Alisa), and feeling a bit bored, decides to throw pastries at her (this being but one 'moment caught in time' -- the Renaissance equivalent to a modern vid cap)...he is surprised when she becomes visibly aroused and starts to moan...he playfully dubs her 'Moan Alisa'...which later gets distorted to 'Mona Lisa'.
Yes, a bit of a walk there just to make a dumb pun!
confidential to Mr. Angry: look up 'epistemic vice'
False equivalence; the science on gun violence is clear* (as is climate science); gun violence research in the U.S. is opposed by the science-rejecting/denying politicians (and their rank-and-file constituents) ...both issues (and efforts to address them) are opposed/obstructed by corrupted politicians whose super-PACs and 501(c)4s take ("dark") money from profit making industries that are largely the respective sources of the respective problems.
Moderator: sorry to counter-troll here (you may want to lock this thread)
*see: the recent feature in Scientific American (an overview article on gun violence research)
From a WAM perspective...that's the weakest cake in the face I've ever seen! This might have been considered adequate coverage during the Italian Renaissance, but certainly doesn't cut it in the 21st Century. Fantastic painting, though...
When it comes to climate change, the symptomatic evidence is irrefutable. But there is something in what Mr Angry is saying about how the consensus narrative regarding proposed action which has formed in one particular direction. Not because it's the best course of action - or even the only one available, but because it's been the easiest to turn into a message and to corrupt and conveniently serve other agendas.
The conversation is manifestly closed when it really should be the most open of any dialogue. The solution is a big and complex idea with far reaching consequences, intended and otherwise.
Heretics are only dangerous to cults and unsound ideas after all.
It's a perfect example of how humanity grasps one simplistic idea, turns it into ideology then switches off and goes all guns into oblivion.
On a lighter note, what is this thing some activists have for pieing inanimate objects?
Even if climate change is bullshit (and it isn't) I've never understood why anyone would get angry about attempts to lower waste, pollution and carbon emissions. That's just a better world, isn't it?
The idea that "big business" is behind the climate change agenda seems like very muddled thinking to me. It's big businesses to whom climate change is most inconvenient, as they are the biggest contributors to it. I imagine its probably them setting the narrative against it that people end up unwittingly mouthing on their behalf. And why does it always get labelled a "middle class" thing when the idea of cutting waste and making resources go further is surely more in keeping with frugal, working class behaviour? I don't get it.
And another thing I don't get, while I'm on a rant, is the Mona Lisa. A very unremarkable painting that's not much bigger than a piece of A4 paper. Plus it's made to look smaller because you can't get anywhere near it due to people like the ones in that video falling over each other to take a photo of it. A photo of a painting, why???
