Not sure if this has ever been done before, or if anyone has this idea, so I am going to spitball it for the heck of it.
What if someone could organize a massive Messycon, all materials supplied and made on site for attendee's use, such as pies, small hand sized buckets of batter/slime, Booths with dunk tanks, and Pie me contests... like a massive wam party for people into that kinda thing.
There could be booths for recipe making, substance demonstrations....
People could have tags for (do not Mess me) or (Im Messy!) if they want to stay clean to take photos etc.
You could bring merch, content, exclusive stuff for fans, you name it....
Has this ever been done on a larger scale?
Yes there are risks of course with any major event, but I think it would be kinda fun
You walk down a crowded area of people and all of the sudden.... whoosh.... a dozen pies all at once....
Or get invited to your first dunk tank EVER...... or join in a mud bath....the possibilities are endless....
Sounds incredible in theory. I'm surprised that (to the best of my knowledge) no such thing exists on a smaller scale. As you said, of course there are risks, but this kind of thing executed to its fullest with nothing going wrong would be amazing.
"All materials supplied and made on site, Booths with dunk tanks"; Massively expensive to buy, to store, time-wise to make etc.
"People could have tags for (do not Mess me) or (Im Messy!) if they want to stay clean to take photos etc." Mess up the wrong person and it's assault. Ruin someone's clothes and you're paying out.
"I think it would be kinda fun" Yes, as is my recurring dream about Dita Von Teese, and that is more likely to happen.
"Has this ever been done on a larger scale?" No because of the expense, the huge likelihood of not getting your money back and finally, No one will insure you for this! Potential of harm, allergies, slip hazard, all the contraptions that could go wrong and hurt/kill someone. I help organise Beer festivals in the UK. This is simply a large pub in a marquee for 6 days. You have no idea of the costs, the running and the hoops we have to jump through. We start about 8 months before the event to get it running, and we only use volunteers and have it subsidised with advertising to keep costs down.
The problem would be cost. You're probably looking at $$$ per attendee, and probably high $$$, perhaps even $$$$.
The closest there's ever been to anything like that was an event run in the south west of England back in 2018, and the people who organised that swore "never again" afterwards, due to costs and the hours of work involved. There have been some WAM nightclub events in the north west of England, which have been repeated occasionally, so some form of WAM event does appear to be feasible, but probably not anything as major as an actual conference-type event.
Sounds like quite a hastle. Funding would most certainly be an issue, and safety, slipping, yea it crossed my mind too as I was writing. You would need a coating on the floor or non slip surface, or only have wam designated areas.
As for allergies, getting wammed by accident, and stuff like that... If you are attending a WAM con... expect at least a little bit to get ya. Ur not going to come out completely unscathed lol. But be courteous as with all things. I'm sure we could sell those dollar store poncho's to cover up people who really really dont wanna get messy.
It was just a thought... a really fun fantasy I had a while back. I guess as it has never been done before, the risks are obviously much higher, and the community would be pretty new to it with what is acceptable behavior and what is fun play. I guess before entering you could sign a form of consent, and a waiver. I really like this community, and I know that a lot of the people that would attend would probably be pretty reserved and respectful about the whole thing. We arent a massive community, but from the people I've spoken to, yall sound pretty cool to me
Thank you all for the feedback, it was interesting to hear your thoughts on the idea. I very much appreciate it!
Sounds good in theory but I don't ever see it happening in reality.
WAM is a relatively small open fetish, so attendance would be pretty low. We have a lot of people here but we're based all over the globe and flying in would be a massive cost on top of the entrance fee.
Having materials supplied would be another MASSIVE cost that would be hard to even cover with a high entrance fee (and a high entrance fee would slash the number of attendees).
Also with the risk of falling down in slime, getting a nose broken by an overzealous pie-smasher, or an allergic reaction to an ingredient, you'd need to buy either insurance or pay a lawyer to draw up an airtight liability waiver.
Plus finding a venue that would allow so much mess would be a challenge, plus a cleaning fee on top of the venue fee.
The admission cost to each person to make this work would have to be be in the high hundreds to maybe even low thousands to even break even.
I think the BEST we could ever do would be a section at a FetishCon. You could have your pie throwing booth or dunk tank and charge a few dollars to throw a pie at a friend or see a gunge tank in action with hourly live demonstrations of pre-registered volunteers getting gunged. That way activities would be open to people who arent into our fetish but are curious or just want to have fun and see somebody get messy. And even something like that would be tough to recoup the cost of supplies.

The London Splosh Games ran twice (Mar 2017 and Jul 2017); there was also the UMD anniversary party hosted by MostWAM in Sep 2018.
Those were all aimed at a relatively small group (with tickets sold in advance), rather than hundreds of people. There were also logistical issues, e.g. shower facilities, unless the attendees live locally and are willing to walk home messy. At the London events, I helped to clean up afterwards, and there was literally green slime dripping from the ceiling!
Some activities are easier than others. E.g. a dunk tank (into water) is fairly straightforward: once it's in place, people can just take it in turns, then climb out. Whereas a gunge tank is more complicated, because it has to be refilled after each use (even if you can reuse most of the gunge).
Definitely all valid points for why it's not likely to happen.
However... if this were to happen I am volunteering time and some material and will make pies. I will put my pies up against any other and I would love to share how amazing they are with as many people as possible.
So. If this does happen I'm in and down to contribute a batch of pies and as much of my time as will take to make pies for anyone that brings the ingredients
I know it's not going to work out especially on a large scale but maybe at a regional level or state level? I'm thinking with smaller and more localized will allow more people easy access and more options for venues. Just a thought on how to maybe make something happen.
Regardless of how many people. Whether 10 or 100 I am down to meet make pies so if one does get
Didn't Alana from Sexy Messy Babes do something like this in the summer just gone (with people paying to attend??)
Also the late great Bill Shipton in combination with Aquantics and WSM done a few legendary Splosh events in the early 90s that people went to?? (shame I was too young back then).
The other issue with this kind of event is expectations. This and must be stressed that it's a gathering to get wet, messy or muddy and nothing else. No sex acts. This way more people will be willing to attend. Plus with everything that has happen this past 30 days with harassment and abuse people of either sex or non sex people need to feel comfortable attending. There has been many people here that only want to get messy or meet up if the end game is sexual release this can and will cause issues.

Ive though of this a lot but after speaking with a few wammers in person the key thing getting in the way is discretion
The umd event in Vegas is probably the closets thing to others getting to meet in person
