Yep, last round before I'm gone again for a few weeks.... In my absence, enjoy this run of underrated one-and-dones, plus one of our first "out of state" returnees!
Also, this is where I start shooting everything on three cameras, and while I was able to put all the footage into the remastered SS29 clips, from SS31 on the clip times just get too long. SO: There are brand new downloads in the RAW Store (and the UMD Store) with unedited footage from all these volumes, only available on DVD until now! And it's on improved MP4 like the rest. (Which means I'm probably gonna be remastering the RAW clips now too....) You can also stream them too if you already have a sub!
SS29: The return of Ashley, AKA the strawberry blonde from SS15 whose scenes in that one sold truckloads. (Her one solo scene from that is the biggest non-Toshia solo clip in our history!) SS29.... Not so much. Was she too blonde? Anyway, this was an ambitious one... 5 scenes shot in one day, compounded by the fact that her BF got stuck at work so they didn't arrive until 4 in the afternoon. And of course, I had set up to shoot outside.... This did lead to one of the more "unique" slime scenes, shot post-sundown and lit only by my outdoor lights! My favorites are the more goofy, costume-driven ones.... I guess that's what made us stand out early on? Still love that sailor look, and the "sexy bee" is gonna return soon.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CUZJidnB3I0
SS31: Also Ashley. But a different Ashley. One-and-done blonde, super cute, very chill. Her tiny little "ohs" when she got blasted were awesome. She kinda had a "what is HAPPENING to me??" vibe for the entire shoot, so not surprised she chose not to return, but credit where it's due: Awesome slime scene with cute black dress and gloves (the elbow-length gloves are a theme in these).... And a rare turtleneck scene with one of our best first pies ever. (Still!!)
SS32: Tanika, on the other hand, found the whole shoot hilarious. Not sure why she didn't come back? Maybe she didn't sell well? Too bad, she was a fun one, and down for whatever: Army girl, bee girl, black gloves girl.... Shot in brilliant sunlight which was tricky for pies but made the slime colors REALLY pop. If you're wondering why they look fluorescent....
SS33: Morgan really *should* have come back. People loved her.... As she was the rare combo of "hot," "silly," and "resting bitch face." She's also the first one to wear the (in)famous "sexy tux" outfit, which would be a staple for years. (Even Carrie wore it, 7 years later!) Her joking about the "dimensions" of said outfit were priceless. Also, our first ever green screen clip and I'm still wondering why we didn't go to the Hot-Newscaster-Gets-Pied-While-Delivering-News gimmick more often. Actually, now I remember why she was one-and-done... She was about to get married and modeling on the side for wedding money. When she called her fiancee, she went into her car because "he doesn't know I'm doing this and I didn't want to lie to him about where I was." Ahem. Needless to say, that marriage ended quick and she left town soon thereafter. Shortest modeling career of any SS girl to that point! (There would be shorter careers to come...)
The pics without copyright are fresh screen grabs, in case you wanna compare quality. Thanks for the walk down nostalgia lane.... More to come in a month!
This was indeed a great little run of volumes from a number of models that are sadly not well-remembered these days. Hopefully this will raise their profiles with some of the newer, younger UMD members.
I'm shocked and disheartened to hear SS29 didn't sell well... such a classic, classic volume in my eyes! Ashley looked amazing in that sailor's outfit, and even though I'm much, much more of a pie guy than a slime shipper, I absolutely adore that really smooth little shift of the head Ashley does in the outdoor-at-night scene, intuitively sensing the slime is half-missing her head and she wants to be right under it like the gorgeous WAM trooper she clearly is. (I'm not at all surprised this moment made the trailer, it's actually a big part of what sold me on this one way back in the day... and this coming from a pie fan.)
I thought Tanika was fantastic too. Really good looking, really fun, obviously having a good time throughout, and "down for whatever" (Rich's words, not mine!) -- what's not to love?!?
The other Ashley certainly did wear that turtleneck fetchingly, and caught a phenomenal first pie in the kisser too. Why in the world were turtleneck shoots rare for you, Rich?
HappyCamper said: "Here, put on this bee costume while I throw pies at you! No, I'm not a weirdo!".
In all seriousness, this reminds me of the inspiration behind that costume: A different model... who I actually hadn't shot with yet! Back in those days, before Facebook and IG took over the earth, there used to be localized "night life" photo sites that would basically be a bunch of photos of hot young people getting drunk in different locales. And that Halloween, I saw pics of this super-hot brunette absolutely rocking the "bee girl" costume. And of course, my first thought was, "That's a perfect sexy/stupid look for girls to wear when they get hit with pies."
I found the costume online pretty easily, used it a few times, then moved on. But the funny thing was, the girl in that photo turned out to be Crystal, from SS63/64.... And of course, when she wanted to work together years later, I immediately remembered those pics. So yes, she wore the bee costume in SS64, and closed the circle. The costume was retired forever, much to the dismay of HC and a few others....

Simple practicality. It's hot here more often than not, and sweater/turtleneck weather is really only a few months. So if you're wondering why most models wear short-sleeved tops or lighter skirts/dresses, that's part of it.
Also, over the years, I'd buy specific outfits, but never sweaters or turtlenecks, as the material didn't lend itself to "one size fits all." So the girls would need to bring their own if we wanted that look, and a lot just preferred to bring stuff that would wash out easier (which I totally understand). Also, turtlenecks seemed to go out of fashion soon after this.... I distinctly remember asking a few models if they had one as a wardrobe option and getting a negative response. (I think Samantha wore something similar years later in SS244, but even that's not a true turtleneck.)
Or probably the biggest reason.... I had turtleneck scenes with SS31 Ashley and SS38 Trista, and neither sold especially well, so I didn't pursue that option. If the turtleneck fans had come out in force, you might've seen that look a lot more!
Morgan and Ashley (31) in black formals and gloves were major inspiration back in 2006 and they still are today!
If "here" was the area I'm in now I'm totally with them on turtlenecks. I had exactly one until this spring when I donated it because of style reasons but also it's just too warm for that even in winter. Fuzzy material doesn't lend itself to being cleaned very easily either. Everything be easy to wash and clean up is a major thing in terms of wardrobe consideration at least on my end

CRYSTAL! Among my all-time favorite Slapstickstuff one-and-dones (ok, two-and-dones). Those pies in SS64 scene 3 are just the pinnacle of that ridiculous silly-and-sexy style I've come to peg your early years by.

If that's the one where she's "hypnotized" into pieing herself in the face every time she hears the bell then no arguments there!
The only thing is, you've just been getting better and better over the years. Eliza just might just be the platonic ideal of a Slapstick Stuff model. She totally gets your sensibility. She's drop dead gorgeous from head to toe. She's also the reason god invented the white sheet cake.
Long story short, I hope Eliza is a regular visitor to the SS studio
Well I appreciate that! Hoping to make her a regular. And yes, poor girl got white sheet caked 5 times in one session.... That has to be a record.
I'll try to start on the editing of that in June when I'm back.

Trying not to give TMI but that particular scene and the SAW parody blew my mind as a teenager looking up WAM on the internet for the first time.
